There’s a Palestinian woman who works as a speech pathologist at a public school in Texas that was asked to sign a contract stating that she has no issues with Israel and would not boycott any Israeli company or products. As a consumer you have the right to boycott any private company or products you like, no matter the reason. I come from a Palestinian family and I just sold some land I inherited from my dad. The reason I was able to do it is because I have the deed to the land given to our family by the Ottoman Empire authorities, about 100 years before Israel was created. I still have land to my name I've inherited from my mother. It'd be a nightmare if Israel, or Israeli settlers, took over it on the pretext this is their "Holy Land" and God gave my land to them. But that's what Israel and Israeli settlers have done to millions of other Palestinians: Start a conflict in the name of God and when you respond to it your land is taken away. I truly don't understand how the US Government has gone along with just about everything Israel has done throughout all these years, dishing out over $85 billion in aid to that country. So, what "river to the sea" means is about all the private property we Palestinians have in that entire area and how we are trying to protect it. What he doesn't tell you if you're acquited in an Israeli military court, the Israeli government pays back your attorney's fees and damages. For this reason, prosecutors only bring cases that they are really sure they will win. He talks about "admissions boards" where neighborhoods can bar people from buying houses in the area. He doesn't mention that the law only applies to towns with fewer than 400 families in two small areas in Israel. There is also no evidence that the law is being used to keep Arabs out. Israel is about 20% Arab and they have the same rights as Jewish Israelis. The community boards can just as easily be used by Arabs to keep Jews out of the area, by non-religious Jews to keep out religious Jews, etc. There's a lot more, but I'm too lazy to go through it all. Why would they try to force her to sign a contract that has anything to do with Israel here at a public school in America? She refused to sign and was fired over it. As a consumer you have the right to boycott any private company or products you like, no matter the reason.
I get trying to protect smaller defenseless countries from terrorists but neither of these situations have anything to do with actual terrorists.

The reason I was able to do it is because I have the deed to the land given to our family by the Ottoman Empire authorities, about 100 years before Israel was created. I still have land to my name I've inherited from my mother. It'd be a nightmare if Israel, or Israeli settlers, took over it on the pretext this is their "Holy Land" and God gave my land to them. Very true about the Israeli police forces training US police. During the Ferguson uprising, Palestinians provided Black Americans advice on how to deal with police forces, knowing that they would use the same exact tactics that Israelis use on them. Their oppression is directly linked to ours and no one if free until we are all free.

Marc Lamont Hill is better off in Aljazerea, he is so bright and intelligent and he won't let anyone get out of saying unfair or untrue statements. There's been some special reporters and interviews that keep my spirit up through all this, and he is one of my top ten. I'll turn the TV up when he's on and his lively energy and trustworthy facts is very great comforting. Well done Marc, Keep Going!

I know the breakfast club is a radio show that covers mostly hip-hop and pop-culture but they should really try and have more positive and thought-provoking individuals like this Gentleman on the show. We would all benefit.
He's giving very misleading and one-sided information about the Israel/Palestine conflict. Plus, the controversy he' created for himself started when he used a slogan that is very famously a genocidal terrorist organization's slogan.

For example, he says that the conviction rate of Palestinians in Israeli military courts is 99%. What he doesn't tell you if you're acquited in an Israeli military court, the Israeli government pays back your attorney's fees and damages. For this reason, prosecutors only bring cases that they are really sure they will win.
He talks about "admissions boards" where neighborhoods can bar people from buying houses in the area. He doesn't mention that the law only applies to towns with fewer than 400 families in two small areas in Israel. There is also no evidence that the law is being used to keep Arabs out. Israel is about 20% Arab and they have the same rights as Jewish Israelis. The community boards can just as easily be used by Arabs to keep Jews out of the area, by non-religious Jews to keep out religious Jews, etc.
There's a lot more, but I'm too lazy to go through it all. I might write a long comment going through each point he makes. The point is, he's not being intellectually honest in the interview. Again, thanks for having an open mind.

I will say, that the man at least isn't spewing hate and sounds like he is trying to bring light to an issue (i.e the mistreatement of many Palestinians) that deserves consideration.
