    Love Pandora's box! Work it girl! Kitty mandala....cutest spiders. Butterfly lace .... GORGEOUS! You definitely have a wide variety of styles. All of your work is so pretty. And your eyes! OMG!! Big and blue you're such a cutie. Love your videos.

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much! I tend to get a bit bored sometimes so having projects with different colors, styles, techniques, etc helps my stitchy bug stick around. I used to be a one at a timer, but if the piece wasn't calling to me or I was frustrated I just wouldn't stitch. This is a much better solution for me ;-)

    Absolutely beautiful projects. I really love your Butterfly Lace Chatelaine in particular, but they are all stunning, tfs :-)

      Thank you! I would really love to finish Butterfly Lace in the next year or two. It's always a pleasure to work on. Thanks for watching! :-)

    You have got some lovely pieces there and you are going to have to live to a 100 to finish them all LOL !!! I love your butterfly chataine and those two dragons ! Tks for the show and I thought I had a lot !!! Take care, Michelle

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Michelle, I sometimes feel I will need to live until I'm 100 to finish all my starts. I'd have to live until I'm 600 to get through the rest of my stash, especially all the full coverage pieces I have. LOL. Maybe the fountain of youth will be finally found soon! Thanks for watching :-)

    Loved your WIP parade! You have some really terrific projects and oh goodness, the HAEDs are incredible. One terrifies me, can't imagine having multiples...

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! The HAED's really aren't that bad all long as you don't plan on making a deadline. They are really just one X at a time, for many many years :-D

  • @kristenroper667
    @kristenroper667 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Loved seeing your WIPs! HAEDs intimidate me so much but it's really exciting to see how incredible they look when they have a few thousand stitches in 😍

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Yes once you get about a page in you can really start to see the picture that 1000's of stitches can make! :-)

  • @barbi_stitches
    @barbi_stitches 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Love the wip parade. Holy haed lady! I have never attempted one, although they are all gorgeous and I love looking at everyone's projects, but I just don't think I have the patience to do them. Maybe one day. Thanks for sharing them. I would love to see the charts that you have. Anything stitch is inspiration and fun to watch.

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Barbi! I'll admit the HAED's are very time consuming, but the detail is amazing and no backstitching! When I first found them I seriously underestimated how long they would take. I also threw Motherhood in the trash shortly after making this video, it's not something I want to spend my time working on anymore. I do however want to make some progress on red riding hood though, I forgot how much I loved her! Thank you for watching :-)

  • @inglesideimaginarium
    @inglesideimaginarium 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just LOVE your dragons of course! I'm going to have to go back in your videos to find where you have shown off Fire and Earth Dragons. Air Dragon is looking amazing! your HAEDs are looking fantastic as well. I still am in such awe of you stitchers who finish them, let alone make any progress, haha. Thanks for sharing your works. I am loving these WIP parades!

    • @inglesideimaginarium

      OH! And your fabric choice is rocking, especially your Black Cat Chatelaine. SO COOL

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Brittany, You can see my other Dragons in my second video, I show off all my finished project in that one, if you haven't found it yet. I always stress a bit about using the wrong fabric with a piece, but it's amazing when it all starts coming together and looking amazing! Thanks for watching :-)

    @alisstitchingstudio8990 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Jen, I love me a good wip parade, so thanks for sharing. I will look forward to seeing some of your charts. Your Chatelaines look fantastic. I would suggest not throwing anything out but putting it away as I have regretted items I have purged over the years, it won't hurt anyone sitting in the cupboard. Happy stitching Jen.

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Alis! I have purged projects through the years as well and had regret, but shortly after this video I did throw Motherhood in the trash, lol! I really didn't like the way it was looking on the fabric and instead of being disappointed with it decided that if the urge ever struck me again I would just restart it on a better fabric. I do have a hard time letting things go, because I never know when I might want to work on something again, I've had projects sit for years only to be picked up and finished, but I felt like this one was a "special" case that deserved tossing. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment! :-) And I can't wait to work on my Chatelaine again, its been patiently sitting on the shelf staring at me ;-)

    Great wip parade Jenn!!! You have an awesome collection. I think you should give up on the ones you don't love and yes rotate with the ones you do love!!! Nice to see you again my friend!! Hope your staying dry!!!

      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dee! How are you doing? Are you going to camp this fall? I unfortunately won't be able to make it this time :-( I am going to give up on 2 of my HAED's for sure, definitely the motherhood chart, because seeing it again- well it looks awful, and the Dragon Lore which I do still like, but have others calling my name more. Thanks for watching and today were back in a heat warning, that's Alberta for you :-)

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm so not organized, I have projects in several rooms of the house and I totally forgot about the Mill hill travel project I keep in my work bag! LOL! :-P

  • @lauratyler591
    @lauratyler591 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you for doing a WIP parade and sharing your work I enjoyed it very much I do HAED's mainly. I just jump from head to head working on the project until I don't want to work on it anymore then I switch out to my next one. And yes I do have a couple of non HAED full coverage pieces. 😊🙋🏼

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I first discovered HAED I seriously underestimated how long they would take to stitch. I love working on them, but sometimes I really need to work on something that requires a bit less concentration so I've started incorporating some easier designs into my very loose rotation, I also really enjoy the finishes! The urge has come back after making this video to pull them out again, so hopefully I'll have some page finishes to show in the next video :-)

    • @lauratyler591
      @lauratyler591 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      miskacat1 I just went through my charts and WIPs. I have some work to do. It's interesting how in a short period of time your tastes can change. Well back to stitching! 🤣🙋🏼

    Love your WIPS! My favorites are the Butterfly Lace and Pandora's Box. I don't have as many as you, but you have some great progress on some of those :). I also had trouble with fabric for Motherhood, but for different reasons. That piece feels cursed! Anyway, love the video, happy stitching :)

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol! I threw Motherhood in the trash shortly after making this video, I realized I would probably never enjoy stitching on it and there are too many other things I'd rather work on! Thank you for watching :-)

    @jill524 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    You have some awesome wips going on! I was so inspired with your grove, I bought the pattern and am on page 5 at the moment. Your other head's look amazing too! Red riding hood made it to my wishlist too 😊

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Holy crap! Page 5 already! You must be an incredibly fast stitcher.I looked and saw you don't make videos,yet (?), but if your on instagram I would love to follow your progress

    • @jill524
      @jill524 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      miskacat1 the pages are large format, so I'm not that far... and it's mostly background for now, and that's stitching up quit fast (as you know of course 😅) It's the first time I actualy enjoy stitching a Haed, so I'm really really motivated. I must admit that I took a screen picture of your progress and that's a real help also. I'm geeky.and.proud on IG, look forward to see you there 😊

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aww, well thank you. I'm glad I can serve as motivation. I have the hardest time with the background with the one stitch here, skip one and stitch another two. Argggg! It's driving me crazy! But seeing her pulled out again makes me want to work on her some more, same with Red. I'm running off to follow you on IG now! Thanks!

    @StitchinMommy 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love how many full coverage pieces you have started! There are a few of them with an impressive amount of work completed, which is more than I can say about most of mine. :) Definitely try to keep working on them - they're gorgeous! Going back and forth between 2-3 could be nice to keep momentum going.

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much! I just watched your parade yesterday, haven't gotten around to commenting yet, but was working on it! LOL! I don't think I'd have the courage to try a Golden Kite let alone how many you have on the go, too many blended threads scare the crap out of me! I'm really hoping a rotation between a couple of my big pieces will get a couple of them on my walls in a few years :-) Thank you for watching

    • @StitchinMommy
      @StitchinMommy 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't mind blended threads really. Although, it can be a little frustrating when there's only one ninja stitch called for in a blended color, because then you have to get out and put back two different colors. :P

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      OMG! That would drive me crazy! Super Ninja Stitches! LOL

      Thank you! Doing this video made me remember some of my HAED's as well! Lol. I think some of them might be getting put in the UFO pile as there are others I think would do better in its place. Thanks again for watching :-D

    I am so behind on your videos....on everyone's videos! Anyhow, love your wips!! I am afraid to even start one HAED! My biggest BAPs are a Mirabilia (The Baby Boat) and full coverage Dimensions kits. My favorites of your wips are your two Chatelaines. They are both gorgeous, you are doing a wonderful job. Again I am hesitant to take on such huge projects, but I really do love both those patterns. I have a quick tip for you, it definitely helps when you put a piece away for a while and it does not have a lot of stitching yet.... I always put one single stitch on the top middle of my fabric so that I know which way is up. Well I am off to play catch up on your videos!

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha! I totally understand being behind on everyones videos! I have a lot of catching up to do as well. Great tip on the single stitch at the top, I will definitely have to use that in the future. I usually try to devote a couple days to new projects so I make a decent start on them, but that doesn't always happen.

  • @anitchtocrossstitch6035
    @anitchtocrossstitch6035 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Jenn, I am not really a haed or chatelaine girl but your chatelaines are so beautiful! Your butterfly one looks like a painting. The haed wips you have are all gorgeous designs, although red riding hood is creepy! Really enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing.
    Ps your lighting was great, everything was really clear x

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I really love working on the Butterfly Lace, but those over 1 butterflies kinda drive my a bit crazy. The red riding hood HAED reminds me of something Tim Burton would put in a movie, Lol! That's probably why I like her so much! Thanks for commenting about the lighting too, I'm not sure why this room videos so well my kitchen is just as bright, but doesn't look as good on camera. Happy stitching :-)

    thanks for sharing, you have some lovely projects! i really like the butterfly chatelaine, it's on my wish list :) And about the oldest wip you showed - with the dragon - where you are losing count with the half stitch: would it be an option to grid that bit with some sulky sliver, i think it would be easier and faster than taking it all out and starting over with one thread.

    • @miskacat1
      @miskacat1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a great idea to grid the bottom of my dragon chart, I've never done it before so I never even thought of it. I admire people that can tent stitch full projects, my poor brain and eyes just can't seem to figure it out. And I find with the Air dragon the colors are very similar so it's making it even harder than usual. Thank you for the suggestion I'll definitely try it when I'm ready to pick him up again
