I never would have imagined a belt harmony between Ten and Baekhyun. It mixes so well with Ten maintaining and then Baekhyun going up higher. It was nice to see that power in Ten's voice. I love that we are getting more singing from Kai. We don't get it enough. I mean don't get me wrong I love his moves, but his voice is amazing too. I love the way the group is finally getting into their groove. It takes time with new groups and even though they are all 'veterans' in the Kpop world, I sometimes have to remind myself that they are new with this group. When you have so many powerful players it will take time to get comfortable and find the right match and fit for everyone's voice/dancing, and then from there shake it up and put people out of their comfort zone to shine.
I think the one who went higher was ten because tens voice is naturally a little bit higher then baekhyuns but not sure

It was certainly a treat to hear them sing together. I think sometimes we forget that this is only the first SuperM studio album. Singles for SuperM have had a certain epic style that uses the members in specific ways. But this album get to show so much more and you get to hear a whole range of what they can do.
I think Ten and Taemin and Kai (and Lucas although his vocal training will have been totally different) have some similarities in that they have been main dancers for their groups and that has been what has gotten the most of their focus (as in 10 hours or more of practice a day). To dance like they do takes years of dedication just like Baekhyun's singing (which we just assume he'll always do as beautifully and powerfully as ever) has taken years of study. And a performer can either do intense choreo or do powerful vocals in a certain section. You can't use your muscles, energy and breath for both at the same time. Hence Ten and Baekhyun standing mostly still while they belt.
I feel that their dancing gets taken for granted often in the focus all fans have on lines (maybe because you can't see dance on an album or build a solo idol career with dance as your primary skill? Maybe because more people are literate in what makes impressive vocals but not so many will attend a purely dance performance and understand how that works? I am just theorising... )
Kai's solo album will be coming out soon. And the SuperM tour allowed both Kai and Ten to perform solo songs which was a great opportunity. They are definitely only at the beginning...

Fun fact: This mv was produced and directed by the same respective teams that did Obsession by Exo and Criminal by Taemin! That's probably why it's so good (and epic). Can't wait for the dance practice to come out and for you to react to it!

At the end, Taemin's phone is showing an infinity symbol transforming into the letters "ae" which in old english and scot means "One"
Edit: this comment was made before Aespa debut was announced, still, the meaning could still be valid if we consider them part of SM Cinematic Universe
i was wondering what the symbol meant! i figured it was infinity but didn't know what ae was supposed to mean. my initial thought was it being a symbol related to the LG Wing since it's a product placement but that didn't really make sense lol.
ae also looks like 'SM' the logo for SuperM. I thought it is foreshadowing for next logo of SuperM ahahahhaha

Yes, many have assumed it's "just" product placement. It's certainly that in part but they could have used the product in many ways (like TY did during the song) but they chose this specifically. And with it coming right after all the edits of the original teasers, you know the scene was designed with purpose in mind. The infinity symbol has been repeated since 100. I did not expect to see it transform into ae or use Scots. There is no way they could have shot this in the UK but ghe misty hills felt like home. I have a feeling it's a foreshadow for however the SuperM concept will develop...
I also got shocked by Ten's part in this song. Thank God they finally let us see his talent properly and now I'm bias-wrecked by him lmao
Taeyong said in an interview with Buzzfeed that Taemin had fixed some of the choreo to make it better! Their choreo definitely looks harder (and more similar to Taemin's normal style maybe?) this time so I'm excited for the dance practice too!

The whole video was fire, the outfits were great and I loved Ten high notes. I can picture this being played doing a battle scene of a Marvel movie. The whole album is so good, my top four songs "Better Days", "One" "Dangerous Woman" and "With You" but that is subject to change the more listen to the album again.

INFINITY feels like a real Marvel ost! And that Baekhyun's intro tho! The song is epic!! 🔥 MONSTER is so good too! OH.MY.GOD!! ❤ In conclusion, ONE is a masterpiece!! The way these 2 tracks were combined was AMAZING!! 👏👏
Fact: SM did this hybrid remix before also with SHINee's Sherlock (Clue + Note) and it was amazing too! Love that SM never stop on experimenting and always giving us something new and unique 💕💪

Exactly! Mark explained the concept when Jopping first debuted. You can even see it in the beginning of the Jopping video. (Taemin is calling them all together, and they arrive using different modes of transportation...or teleporting. 😂)

Fun fact: if you know SHINee's song history you would see several references to iconic SHINee moments within "One (Monster & Infinity)" For instance, SHINee has a song called "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" which was created by combining two songs from SHINee's Sherlock album "Clue" and "Note" to create their title track "Sherlock". Just like how "One (Monster & Infinity)" takes two songs, "Monster" and "Infinity" from SuperM's album to create their title track "One" on their Super One album. Also, as the SuperM members made reference to during their press conference, one of the parts of "One (Monster & Infinity)" choreography uses a finger movement that is very reminiscent of an iconic part of SHINee's "Lucifer" choreography.
Although "One (Monster & Infinity)" is still so new, that I haven't really had time to think about or analyze what is happening in the MV yet, right off the bat, what I see are references to Kai and his role in EXO's storyline with the numerous pyramid symbols you see throughout the MV. If you remember, Kai's symbol is a pyramid which represents his teleportation superpower.
The fact that SM has now officially partnered with Marvel to fully bring to life SuperM's concept of being the Avengers of Kpop and the fact that their storyline is supposed to be about creating an Avengers-like group to help EXO battle the Red Force. Only makes me more sure that SuperM's storyline and all the groups represented within SuperM are all connected to EXO's larger storyline.
Also, at the end what you see are flashes of the teasers from their "Jopping" MV, which was how SuperM was introduced and it showcased the members special powers and abilities and helped to establish the group's concept and storyline. Which was a lot like how EXO's storyline was started and has unfolded over the years. The last clip with Taemin and that LG (the electronics company) device is new, and besides being a product placement ad, it also is clearly the next clue or piece of SuperM's storyline. i'm pretty sure Taemin is setting up something that will become important in the future to continue SuperM's story.
If you want to understand more of how SuperM and EXO connect, if you haven't already, you should watch all of SuperM's pre-debut teaser videos. They are what sets up the storyline and explains each of the member's role in the group. But like EXO's concept, everything to do with SuperM is just as mysterious.

The phone at the end is a new phone coming out by the end of the year it's called a LG wing. There are big billboards all around the tower at capital records in Hollywood CA. And in the middle of New York City there is a huge digital screen of super m. So they are putting alot into super m right now. I don't know exactly what collaboration is going on with super m but I want one of the marvel/super m t-shirts for sure. They look so cool! Thank you

@@lori4021 I think in his latest interview during Superm One preview. You can find that in YT or if you go to IG feed on #Taemin #Superm they discuss what other member said about this album. Personally I feel that Taemin chosen 1st to supervise this project (as Superm) as he has most experienced and maybe choose the other member to join. Overall the esthetics of costume in superm remind me of SHINee costume composition.

This is probably my favorite promoted song from SuperM. Like the more hidden members got time to shine, they finally pulled Ten’s vocals out of the dungeon, the melody is SO GOOD, the choreo is amazing as always but their demeanor is so different in this one you can FEEL the confidence in them, they all looked so fucking good like the stylists deserve raises for the color choices and the different outfits.

7:19 Lucas raps with a lot more "character" in WAYV, specifically their b-sides. I think this is most prevalent in their most recent album Awaken the World. He's growing into a fantastic rapper i love him hehe 💕

I enjoyed the members ofc and knew they were hella talented but it wasnt showing in the music for me. But then Awaken the World came out and I was BLOWN away. I still didnt like the title tracks but the rest of the album every song was a PERFECT. I was like omg THIS what I've been wanting from them that I KNEW they had lol

5:12 yo actually it was ten who went higher up during the high note. once you watch the live performance you'll know. otherwise just listen carefully and you'll see that baekhyun maintains the note while ten comes in just a second later and then proceeds to go higher.
