Mines is 689 I love my xb sad thing is they don't make anything for 2011 and newer so any kind of upgrade is nice....I definitely want to do this since the orange is hideous I don't know why they didn't go with blue gauges when they made the badge light up blue...smh nice tutorial man👍🏾✌🏾I'm also looking into doing the actual clusters too but it's way more tedious lol

Do you have a video on how are you did you little later I installed mine today the wiring’s are complete I haven’t had a circuit fuse tap the problem is my tail light and fog light fuses both have constant power even without the key in so as soon as I hook it up the footwell lights they turn on even though there’s no key or the headlight switch on. I don’t want to drain my battery so I’m just curious what you used to turn the LEDs on at night. I really don’t want a switch as on my STI I used an add a circuit to my tail lights and they only turn on when my tail lights turn on at night so no additional switches were needed,
What wheel and tire size are in the car?
I went with a16" enkei COMPE im Gunmetal gray. I want the riding comfort, and practically that a 16" wheel offers paired up with a 60 series tire because I'm going to use my XB to roadrrip
What's better, the XB with an Automatic Transmission or the Manual Transmission.
I will always pick a manual transmission.
Manuals get better economy and have less problems than automatics.
@@brianthompson8425 They're harder to find due to low production and more Automatics were produced.
Now lets do the speedo lights and invert the cluster😁

I'm having the cluster done now, for the a/c knobs I bought the LEDs. You can find the how-to on my channel.
@@OilandGears i watched both vids and ordered both. Thanks a lot! I'm going to be doing thr led swap myself. I'm just wondering if I need to change out the resistors or not and if the orange faceplate will look stupid with the blue led shining through for like that tac and my gas/coolant temp etc

Great question! I actually had someone do the instrument cluster for me. The gentleman's name is Leo Aguirre and was pretty affordable. DM me on instragram for more information.
The leds do not fit well at all and I double checked I brought the right ones. I fought with them for over an hour and couldnt get them to sit flush.
That's odd, maybe check to see if they are tilted when you drop them in. Keep turning lightly until you feel it go in.
@@OilandGears Thanks, I will take another crack at it. I haven't had any luck they just dont fit as good as the stock bulb.
Maybe if you can find the spots that aren't fitting you can slightly sand the plastic down. I've changed the LEDs on both 2011 and 2014 xB HVAC knobs with those same LEDs.
I just got the same ones you’ve put in here on the video and they are to big.
You will have to push down and turn at the same time and it should pop in. I made sure to measure both the original and the LEDs that I bought from amazon as I did in the video.
can this be done with the scion xd? i put in led in my cluster panel with soldering kit but i didnt know if i would be able to do it to my hvac

They will be a little snug in the openings.

It will say that because there are supposed to be bulbs instead of LEDs. They are compatible.

Yo bro what year is your scion? i have a 2012 xb but when i clicked on your link the notice on Amazon said its does not fit my car. i am sure your 2nd mean its second generation isn't it?
I have a 2011 Scion xB. It may say they don't fit because they are LEDs and not the oem bulbs.
Where do you get that scion badge?
I was lucky to find one online as well as one in a junkyard off a 2012 xB release series rear hatch.
are they dimmable?

It says it will not fit my 2013 scion xb.
At the beginning of the video I bought the wrong size leds but the link is for the correct ones. It's only because Amazon doesn't recognize all models of cars sometimes. This is one of the times.

I ordered the T4 led blue light for HVAC it's not working are these the right ones?
Sometimes you have to rotate them 180 degrees because of polarity.
@@OilandGears i tried that do you need to leave the old ones in the other 2 slots I took all 3 out at once
No, you can take them all out and just add one by one and check each one by themselves. Also, check and make sure the LED wires are visible around the housing and making contact. It's pretty much plug and play, the only thing is the polarity.

@@OilandGears i assume going with white led panel would be bad considering the numbers and mileage show in white also? or maybe he changes that too? lol
