Hi Isis, I love your Minecraft content, and I think it would be super helpful for viewers if you could organize your Minecraft series into separate playlists. For example, you could have one playlist for 'S1: Minecraft Survival' and another for 'S1: Minecraft Hardcore.' This would make it easier for fans to follow along with specific series and find the content they enjoy the most. Thanks for all the great videos.
That's a good enough house for now. You can expand it later when you need more space for things, and make incremental improvements to the decor whenever you think of (or find) aesthetic things you want to add. For now, concentrate on other things that you need, like maybe more crop farms, animal breeding, finding some villagers, ...
Thank you! I want to add lots of flowers too to make it extra cute. And I want to build a barn and put all the critters I can in there! A farm too in time...
oooh. You're never too old to learn. I just found out this week. Find a cat and adopt it. Creepers are scared of them. Keep one near your openings/doors and creepers will never come in. As always, love your videos. Looking forward to the bridge video. I wanted to suggest Wattles' Iron Farm. It is a very easy build, and only takes 3 villagers, which I think you have nearby. You might want to encourage a couple villager children so that you don't depopulate the village. If you see a merchant, you can try to trap one of the llamas, and when the lead breaks you can take the lead and use it on a boat to move the villagers. Last quick note: if you plan to build a village close to your home, make sure the iron farm is close enough for the chunk to load but far enough that the village doesn't interfere with the iron farm (around 20 blocks from any other villager/bed/workstation). You will need a nametag, so I hope you find a mineshaft nearby, or you can level up a cleric with zombie meat to purchase one with emeralds.
@@isis_lisette FYI, I built the simple version without the compressor. There is no real need for that at this point. You will get a few stacks of iron ingots for each session that you are near your home. It really does add up fast, I have a stack of BLOCKS after just a few days of recreational play.
A great goal to have at this phase of your survival world is a steady source of XP and (good) food. If you can set up an enchanting table, you can get yourself Fortune, which multiplies all the ores you find when you break them. More coal, more diamonds, more iron, etc. etc. If you can find them, spawners are a great early-game method for getting XP. If you don't want to set up an enchanting table, Villagers are also extremely helpful (overpowered some may say), but also very tedious to get the trades you want. They offer enchanted books (librarians), rare building blocks (stone masons offer quartz blocks), and one villager class even offers one of the best food sources in the game: Farmers and their Golden Carrots.
You are the definitely the greatest Minecraft TH-camr I’ve seen on here! You have such a good sense of humour and I love how you randomly break out into song lol. You post consistently and never let us down, thanks so much Isis:D
This is the best compliment in the world WOW you are too sweet! I try to hold it in honestly but I end up having over half my footage being musical haha. Thanks, Taylor ;)
I remember Technoblade using creepers to blow up a house the Dream was making once, so it can happen to the best 🤣 Anyway, nice house! I'm wondering if adding a little balcony lined with pink stained glass panes would look neat? Seen Poofesure do that on a few of his houses and it seems to work really nicely, just make sure the roof is lit up to stop unwanted visitors!
you are so coal !! (wink) great to see a fresh video full of chatting and humour can i just suggest to try to fix the audio? maybe wear airpods and setup the mixer in the pc your video will be so much better love isis...you are great a a elight to see and watch cheers from Argentina!
Go off comedian! Thank you for watching. I agree with the audio tbh but I need help with my computer on how to capture it properly. Cheers from the USA!
Front windows to see who or what is there and a porch with a cover 🥰❤️with lights or torches can use carpet from moss or sheeps wool for bedrooms, can make walls for rooms, and even curtains from posters in game and stacked chests for a fridge and plants in the house like glo berries for deck. Glo berries are found in lush caves in game. Heres a fun fact glo berries are real in real life there called golden berries
Make a stone cutter, like others have said, it gives you more stairs etc per block of stone. Use slabs for your floors as mobs can’t spawn on slabs, and it uses less resources too
@@isis_lisette A lot of people don't like using half slabs for floors because then your other furnishings are either a half-slab too low or a half-slab too high. That is why half slabs are commonly used on roofs, however. It keeps creepers off the roof. Nothing will spawn on half slabs or stairs, and a few other blocks. Note, spawns will still occur on inverted slabs (slabs that are the same level as normal blocks). Since they changed the lighting to allow for less creature spawning in populated areas, it isn't really necessary to do your main areas that way. You just have to remember to put nice light sources where they are needed (and you don't need as many as you used to). I still use slabs for building nether roads, because the light-level spawning is higher there, and you don't want anything spawning on your secure roads. In the Overworld, a light level of 1 will prevent spawning now. For the Nether, I think it is still 7.
If you want your house to feel like a home, there are free downloadable packs from the store that allow you to add furniture like sofas, chairs, lamps and drawers that are all useable.
@@isis_lisette Iris is the shader loader that works with the current version of Minecraft. You will need 3 things (probably) 1. Pick a shader that you like (just google minecraft shaders) and keep in mind that some are more graphic intensive than others, 2. Install Java, which will probably link from the shader website, 3. Download the shader and install it. (Install Java from your downloads first, if you haven't already.) Java should put everything in the right place. Then when you launch MC, you will see a button next to the Play button labeled Iris&Sodium, click on that and select the shader you downloaded. When you close the popup there should then be an Iris Icon on the Play button, showing it is selected. The first time you launch, you will get a warning that it is an unsupported (modded) version. Click agree. You will then default to the modded version when you launch the game.
@@isis_lisette I'm using Complementary Unbound, if you like that one. Look for the link for the official websites. I don't really trust any other source. I don't have other mods, but once you get started, you might find yourself loading all kinds of things... like animations for your pets, wind in the trees, etc. Don't go too crazy with it, because everyone will start asking which mods you use.
I'm a huge fan of this video. Its so easy to watch and it is really fun to watch
Thank you! I am so glad you tagged along! :)
You can plant few flowers infront of your house, can add few windows nearby the door etc and the slabs on the windows look perfect!!
Thank you for validating me about the windows! And yes major landscaping needs to be done to make it cute, in time!!
You should make a stone cutter to create stairs (and walls etc). It saves resources and they're very easy to make, 3 bits of stone and 1 iron I think.
True
Yess 100%
I should have done this I didn't know 😭 Next time for sure!!
@@isis_lisette yeah. Itll save you a a lot of Stones brick. I think with a stone cutter it's 1 brick per Stone wall, step etc

I completely agree. I am mining as much as I can but still getting settled obviously. In time I will try to make some sort of XP farm if I am able!
After watching many overwhelming videos, these videos of yours give me peace. 🤗
