I use the same ingredients in different amounts and make lotion bars. We love them. Takes care of my sons eczema. 1 part beeswax, 2 parts each of shea butter, and coconut oil. Melt together then pour into silicone molds. Right now we have Christmas tree shaped lotion bars. A balm would be great for putting on at bedtime too. Thanks for sharing. Brooke
Thanks for your recipe! I've been making your sauce for 5+ years. It is AMAZING! I've made some shortcuts though...1/2 recipe: select a container that hand mixer beaters will fit into. Melt sheabutter, coconut oil & beeswax directly in the container in the microwave 15 sec intervals till all melted. Add essential oils, glycerin & corn starch. Whip to combine. Then let sit 15 min then whip again. Repeat till cool & buttery... You'll only have to wash the measuring cups/spoon & beaters. Thanks again!
I ordered my ingredients from Amazon today! I have spent SO))) much money on diaper rash creams and I need something to help with healing, irritations and scar prevention for him. I know this will work, its just I never thought about mixing my own. I will try this. Thanks for your inspiration and help. Excited!!!
SAUCE!!! Love it! Her skin is never going to have any problems. My daughter has severe eczema and all natural African Shea has been the ONLY thing that has cleared it up and maintained it. Miracle cream (not really a cream, all raw, melts into skin, smells decent). Great idea to make this and give as baby shower gifts... would also be a great gift for your friends! I bet it smells awesome with the coconut oil in it! MMMMM Tennessee is just so stinking CUTE!!!
I love this ointment!!!! I used it on my baby since he was born, not only he never developed diaper rash, it also healed his baby eczema. whenever I see redness on his face, I put some on. The next day? GONE! Never failed! so I replaced all my baby lotions with this. I also gave it to a friend of mine whose daughter suffered dry skin. Nothing worked on the girl until she tried this ointment. It worked like a miracle! She stopped scratching the first night she used it. Thank you so much for sharing this great ointment. It has helped so many people!
I just made this diaper multipurpose awesome cream!! My baby is not here yet but can't wait to use it!!! It was very easy to make it!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
Just FYI, this stuff is FANTASTIC for warding off cold sores if you catch it early. Even if you don't catch it early enough, this cream heals them so quickly! It has become a staple in our house for many purposes even though we're almost out of the diaper stage. Just wanted to share this piece of advise in case anyone could use it! :)
Great video! Great recipe! I have a similar recipe that has been passed down by the women in my family for generations. I have used it on all three of my kids, for my husband when working in the summer months (chafing) and we even use it on the pets to treat hot spots and irritated flea bites. It works wonders. Also, love coconut oil! Use it on everyone and everything. Cook with it, medicate with it, eat it straight, feed it to the pets, use it in place of WD-40! The stuff is awesome. Much love!
Thank you for sharing. So glad to hear that you like cloth diapering better than regular disposables. I'm going to be a first time mom in May and I am planning to cloth diaper but I am nervous about the extra chore. I want to save money and keep chemicals away from baby whenever possible. Knowing you are doing it and like it plus you're parents of three I feel better with my decision.
Zinc is really great for broken down skin. I only know because I have a colostomy bag. If the baby gets a bad rash a tip is to wash there botton with a shampoo for dandruff with zinc it really helps.
the stuff is amazing it works on everything literally everything not just diaper rash it works on eczema it works on sore cracked skin it works on cradle cap I put it on my Kids Boo Boo's when they get cuts. fYI it's also edible because of the ingredients it's completely safe . not that you would want to eat it but if your little one gets into it its no big deal . I have been cloth diapering for two years and never had a problem. this is a staple in my house it's a little miracle in a jar. I make it in large quantities for friends and family.
They sell large tubs at Costco of organic cocnut oil :) A lot cheaper then traders joes!! Thanks for the recipe and links!! Making lots of shower gift for this summer for our friends who are CDing and will love this!! Thank you so much! :) God Bless
Thanks for the added clean up tip Josh, that was going to be my first question. Christine, I can't wait to have babies so I can clothe diaper and do homemade butt cream! You guys are the best!
Love the video! If you allow the melted product to solidify {room temp for 4 hours} then whip in the mixer for twenty minutes, would this not turn into a whipped body butter verses the balm? Thanks!
Question...there's other things listed in the recipe that you supplied the link for. I didn't see you put in glycerin, arrow root powder or essential oils that are mentioned in the recipe. May I ask why not?? I plan to make this tonight and do have all the other ingredients you didn't use except for the Roman Camomile. Just wondering why you didn't use the other ingredients.
thank you for sharing.. i will be using this for the "neosporin" purposes.. my kids are far out of diapers but we still get cuts!! usually use eucerin cream but this is more cost effecient.. and no garbage! :)
Thank you. My problem is that I’ve found too many different recipes online and can’t choose which one to use! 😩 I tried one with a calendula infused coconut oil, Shea butter, beeswax and bentonite clay. It turned out a little too much like clay. Hope yours went well!
@@hrhburley the one I did was roughly 2 tbsp of Shea butter, 1 tbsp zinc oxide non nano, 1 tbsp coconut oil, 1 tbsp bentonite clay , 3 drops lavender essential oil & 1½ tsp beeswax. Initially it was too liquidy so I heated it again and added in a little more zinc oxide & beeswax. Came out perfectly like the consistency of commercial diaper cream
amazing!!! thanks soooooooo much .. i looked up the cloth wipe solution from your other video and the have stopped stocking it on etsy :( .. do you no another place to buy from or even a recipe to make your own?
I have cloth wipes I made, I just use a solution of fractionated (stabilized liquid) coconut oil and water, roughly 1 tbsp oil to 1 cup water. It cleans just fine and is much easier on my kid's bum! The coconut oil also helps soothe any mild irritation that might happen from using cloth wipes.
If you want to make the process shorter try taking it off the double boiler just before everything melts. The residual heat from the pan should take care of the rest of the melting and you won't need to wait so long for everything to cool down. Basically as soon as things melt you can toss them in the mixer. If you would like the texture to remain light and airy leave it mixing until it's room temperature not just cloudy. That might take a while. Of course it's up to your preference. Lovely recipe. Super extra tip: put the bottom of the mixer bowl in some hot sink water. When you initially pour the mixture in the mixer it won't stick to the sides.
This is really cool! I have gotten into doterra essential oils to use on my kids for when they get sick or cuts. Just whatever comes up. I think this recipe would be great for my daughters eczema flare ups with some melaleuca (tee tree oil) or lavender in it. Thanks!
i have a question the recipe in the link has extra things not listed in the video so do you not use everything in the recipe. can I just follow the video and it will be fine>
SO AWESOME! thanks for posting. We are ordering our ccn-oil, beeswax, and raw shea via amazon (since we have so many gift cards to there lol) and are super pumped to try this! CAN NOT WAIT! I'm gonna use it on myself too. I hear coconut oil by itself is great if you're breast feeding, helps with cracking and dryness, and I wanna use it on my feets :D way to rock out the healthy sauce guys. Thank you! I'm sharing this with all my fb friends and parents.
I'm planning to make some of this soon to use as stretch mark prevention cream before my baby is born (May). How long do you think it will stay good for in the jars? I'm not sure if I will get through an entire batch before baby so I'm wondering if I make it now, will it still be good in 6 months to use on baby? P.S. We cloth diapered our first and plan to cloth diaper this baby as well! My husband felt the same way...a little skeptical beforehand, but ended up loving it so much more than disposables!! :) YAY for cloth!!
Can you also use this as an all over cream for the baby? Or should I leave out the beeswax and just go with Shea Butter and Coconut Oil as a baby body cream?
Love your cream, thanks for sharing, I already use it for my 20 months already. Your baby's pacifier look so cute, can you tell me the brand name, thanks.
I will check etsy on my app but can you get a new link to go in description of the etsy Ingredients(?) I hope its still available on there. Would love to make your recipe!
I am curious as to how many cloth diapers you go through in a day. Our baby girl is due Feb. 10th and we are planning on cloth diapering her with prefolds and covers. We would like to wash every 2 days
When I started with my first son, we were able to get away with a dozen diapers to start. I didn't want to invest a lot of money if it didn't work out. But I did have to wash nightly. It worked out great :)
hey, just wondering how you clean your equipment after making the cream. I used to not whisk it in the blender, but decided to try it after watching your video. now I have sticky, waxy parts. do you buy separate parts, or do you have a secret way of cleaning them?? thanks!!!
I rinse as much off with hot water.. Then I spray with white vinegar, let sit for a while. Then Rinse with hot again. And use blue dawn dish soap. Repeat if needed but you most likely won't have to repeat. ❤
This awesome but are there any solutions to ckear up the rssg if they get it. He's 5 months now and I am just now experiencing diaper rash which I believe is due to him teething. Help please
I really Love this product it is also good for a rash ointment I use it and I use it on my 9 year old daughter if I new all this when I had Brianna I would have used it on her as a good rash ointment thank you for sharing this!
Hello I made my first batch of the butt cream/sauce today I bought the exact beeswax and Shea butter you bought and for some reason the beeswax would not melt!! The coconut oil and Shea butter melted so fast but not the beeswax could you think of any reason this could be?? I put all ingredients in at the exact same time too??
yes you can...you can also opt not to put the beeswax in it for your baby's skin. You should youtube some videos for 'whipped shea butter.' I make my own skincare and hair care products and my family loves it.😊
This didn't work that well for us. I used cornstarch instead of zinc oxide, so maybe that's why? Or maybe it's the type of rash my daughter has? 11 month old keeps getting really bad rashes from acidic stools (anytime she gets a virus or eats something acidic). I've been using this for a couple of days, and little to no improvement in just healing the burn type rash (even after her stools were cleared up). A&D worked better - in just one change it cleared up lots. Desitin also worked better. Also, I used ilex paste while her stools were still acidic - this created a super duper barrier, so it helped tons!
There are definitely quite a lot of particulars like that to take into consideration. That could be a nice level to convey up. I provide the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions just like the one you bring up where an important factor will probably be working in sincere good faith. Yes the beeswax just acts as a barrier to keep the pee from being absorbed by the skin. The shea butter and coconut oil are what have the healing properties! Hope this helps.
my son didnt have a nappy rash till he was a year old now its at least once a month he gets realy sore iv tried everything and nothing helps it takes up to 2 weeks to carm down im in the uk and totaly out of ideas
im thinking of stripping it all down and going natural as the stuff i got from my doc hasnt helped ither infact it started off red and sore now after the creem its open and bleeding so its made it worse any advice would be great just seems by the time one rash is gone another stars up is coconut oil good on its own ?
Oh man, poor babe. When Zoe and Grace were babies we put baking soda in their bath water or the sink and let them sit in it for a bit. It really helped. Yes the coconut oil is an awesome moisturizer plus it makes little ones smell yummy! All of the girls rub coconut oil on after baths and it is heavenly! T loves being rubbed as it acts like a massage oil. I use it as a moisturizer on my face every night. I buy the big tub at Costco and it saves my family a lot of money on buying lotions. Coconut oil is also antibacterial and an awesome anti-inflammatory. Seriously LOVE the stuff!
Nappy rash usually starts when they get Oder from 6months when they are experimenting with food and their pee becomes stronger. I'm 24 lol and knew that before my son was born no baby should have nappy rash at 4weeks lol their not even big enough for their nappy to chafe them u should know that chubby babies chafe more or bigger ones lol
You guys are so cute. Your baby is 1 month old and never had a diaper rash. Your baby should not have a diaper rash so young. I will see you in a couple of months when you begin to use disposable diapers again.
Allisons Apothecary zinc oxide p make it perfect for diaper rash, so basically its not a body butter, unless you use zinc oxide in your body butter and get a white-ish look
I just made this diaper multipurpose awesome cream!! My baby is not here yet but can't wait to use it!!! It was very easy to make it!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
1 cup Shea butter
1/2 cup Coconut oil
2 tablespoons beeswax pellets
Melt w double boiler method
Whip in mixer 20+ mins

I can't not put in words how much I love this cream, my first Bach yield me almost 6 months, not any single rush.
I make this but I infuse the oils with Calendula for extra healing and use it in everything from body butters to lip balms and salves
Katie Kaos LOVE IT!
I love this ointment!!!! I used it on my baby since he was born, not only he never developed diaper rash, it also healed his baby eczema. whenever I see redness on his face, I put some on. Did you do the recipe as is to include the beeswax?

SimplyOrganized Meg how do u use it for cold?
I’m pregnant with my second daughter, and I just come back to make this cream because it was a awesome the first time.

Hello how kong does the cradle cap go away bin babies scalp to heal?
Yes please do a cloth diaper update and products you're using! We are due in May and plan on CDing and want to know more information!
Can I add "sulfur" and "zinc oxide" if I want a more medicated treatment?
video was made 6 yrs ago and it still useful!
Love the video! If you allow the melted product to solidify {room temp for 4 hours} then whip in the mixer for twenty minutes, would this not turn into a whipped body butter verses the balm? Thanks!
You know you're a fan when your youngest is 10 years old and you eagerly watch the entire video
I'm about to make this right now, so excited to see the results! Thanks so much for the recipe :)

Yep! This is the diaper cream we make too! Oh, you could add some bentonite clay in it, it has amazing health benefits!
How much bentonite clay would you add to this recipe? thanks for the tip!
Thank you. My problem is that I’ve found too many different recipes online and can’t choose which one to use! 😩 I tried one with a calendula infused coconut oil, Shea butter, beeswax and bentonite clay. It turned out a little too much like clay. Hope yours went well!

Yes shea butter is from Africa I’m half Nigerian and I only use this for myself and my children
i have a question the recipe in the link has extra things not listed in the video so do you not use everything in the recipe. can I just follow the video and it will be fine>
Hi I’m just wanting to know about the beeswax. How much do you order? The link provided doesn’t seem to be working.
SO AWESOME! thanks for posting. We are ordering our ccn-oil, beeswax, and raw shea via amazon (since we have so many gift cards to there lol) and are super pumped to try this! CAN NOT WAIT! I've heard people with homemade diaper creams had theirs last 1+ years..
Thank you for this simple recipe. Works great!
was wondering if you have to use a cake mixer. just asking because I dont have one 😥
Doing my 3th Bach, it's just so awesome. My baby is 11 months not a single rash.
why not let the mix cool completely before you whip it?
I think I tried that once & seemed that the beeswax hardened faster making the cream slightly gritty...remelted & whipped it.
What is the shelf life? I was planning on making some today and giving it as a gift to a friend tomorrow at her baby shower.
I wouldnt have thought beeswax, but thats why its forming a barrier
Thanks for sharing, I'm pregnant with my firs baby :) and I'm definitely going to make this
I will check etsy on my app but can you get a new link to go in description of the etsy Ingredients(?) I hope its still available on there. Would love to make your recipe!

where did you purchase the short mason jars and easy open lids??
i have the same ones you can get them from walmart good for baby food too
hey, just wondering how you clean your equipment after making the cream. I used to not whisk it in the blender, but decided to try it after watching your video. now I have sticky, waxy parts. do you buy separate parts, or do you have a secret way of cleaning them?? thanks!!!
i would think boiling water. or hot water and vinegar would get them clean. basically melting/dissolving wax residue off.
I rinse as much off with hot water.. Then I spray with white vinegar, let sit for a while. Then Rinse with hot again. And use blue dawn dish soap. Repeat if needed but you most likely won't have to repeat. ❤
Did you make your cloth wipes or what are you using?
Will this work for my daughter who has a bleeding diaper rash? Doctor said its not a yeast infection.
This awesome but are there any solutions to ckear up the rssg if they get it. He's 5 months now and I am just now experiencing diaper rash which I believe is due to him teething. Help please
can you show your cloth diaper and wipe stash and set up?
Once made, how long can this be saved for? A couple months?...
can you use this as baby lotion all over the baby skin?
How far ahead can you make it? Does it have a use by date?
I really Love this product it is also good for a rash ointment I use it and I use it on my 9 year old daughter if I new all this when I had Brianna I would have used it on her as a good rash ointment thank you for sharing this!
Making this on my 3th baby 😍😍😍
Can I use this cream on my sons body and for diaper rash ?
Hello I made my first batch of the butt cream/sauce today I bought the exact beeswax and Shea butter you bought and for some reason the beeswax would not melt!! The coconut oil and Shea butter melted so fast but not the beeswax could you think of any reason this could be?? I put all ingredients in at the exact same time too??
bees wax will melt it takes a little longer but it will melt!!
Can someone answer my question pretty please. Can you use this as baby lotion on all over the babys skin?
yes you can...you can also opt not to put the beeswax in it for your baby's skin. You should youtube some videos for 'whipped shea butter.' I make my own skincare and hair care products and my family loves it.😊
yes!
Does this help with yeast infection?
So it's just oils and wax?
This didn't work that well for us. I used cornstarch instead of zinc oxide, so maybe that's why? Or maybe it's the type of rash my daughter has? 11 month old keeps getting really bad rashes from acidic stools (anytime she gets a virus or eats something acidic). I've been using this for a couple of days, and little to no improvement in just healing the burn type rash (even after her stools were cleared up). A&D worked better - in just one change it cleared up lots. Desitin also worked better. Also, I used ilex paste while her stools were still acidic - this created a super duper barrier, so it helped tons!
Emily Berg yeah, def don’t use cornstarch. This recipe is perfect without it!
how long does it last till you guys have to make more?
Andrea Zapata the answer was in the video .. i just didnt go in that far when i asked
There are definitely quite a lot of particulars like that to take into consideration. That could be a nice level to convey up. I provide the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions just like the one you bring up where an important factor will probably be working in sincere good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around issues like that, however I am certain that your job is clearly recognized as a fair game. Both girls and boys really feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
How do you buy off of Etsy using the cash envelope system? Thanks!
Ann Ever Ainsworth I would purchase a refillable debit card at the store, load it with the amount you want and make online purchases that way.
Do you put zinc in it?
how much beeswax in ounces? please my beeswax is in a huge chunk!
Will this still be effective without the beeswax?
Yes the beeswax just acts as a barrier to keep the pee from being absorbed by the skin. The shea butter and coconut oil are what have the healing properties! Hope this helps.
If not, can you make a video on baby lotion?
i would use it as baby lotion without the beewax...anyway there are alot of homemade body butter that contain beeswax ...it is up to u
my son didnt have a nappy rash till he was a year old now its at least once a month he gets realy sore iv tried everything and nothing helps it takes up to 2 weeks to carm down im in the uk and totaly out of ideas
Have you tried making this cream? Maybe a prescription from the doc if all else fails. Poor baby boy:(
im thinking of stripping it all down and going natural as the stuff i got from my doc hasnt helped ither infact it started off red and sore now after the creem its open and bleeding so its made it worse any advice would be great just seems by the time one rash is gone another stars up
is coconut oil good on its own ?

its hard to find it hear in the uk and when i do its expensive lol ill try th lil pot from boots and see if it works thank you hun
Can I put them in a pump??
Does this beeswax smell bad? I've seen a lot that smell terrible from comments.
Oh, you can get all your organic ingredients off Amazon and some come with the Subscribe&Save discounts!
I'm thinking awesome lip balm!
Awesome! Thanks!
dont put beeswax down the sink
OMG! This stuff works!! Thanks you!!!

You guys should sell... I would so buy some from you guys.. Just Saying.
jenine zuniga LOL! Not enough time in the day otherwise I would love to!
