I look at this team and I see three glaring holes at premium positions: EDGE, Receiver, and Tackle. One needs to be addressed in free agency, one can be addressed with our top 5-10 pick, and we can use our high second to trade up into first to address what’s left. I think the best place to take tackle is at the bottom of the first. Looking at the board, it seems like there will be a run on guys there. That leaves EDGE or receiver for the top 10 pick. At those two positions, only Mykel Williams or Tet McMillan will be worth it. Nic Scourton might rise as well.
Damn, I made the show. Love it guys. I think McMillan is still in play at 7. Hell, several people still have Burden over him. My problem with Burden is he seems like a poor mans Nabers. Meaning that he is still very good, just not that true game-breaker number one. Burden is also most effective from the slot, we don't need more of that. Overall, OT is probably still the best choice, but I do have concerns about both guys, and taking a tackle in the top 10 should be on a no-doubt level guy. None of these OTs this year are that. Might need to follow the Bengals model and get the top-tier WR this year, hope Wallace can turn into the guy they hoped he would be, and if not draft the OT in the following draft. The Bengals did make the Superbowl that year. Very hard decision.
T Mac would be a great addition to the Patriots! We have always had an abundance of Smurf height WRs Patriots need a real RedZone threat. And he plays the outside and goes deep both areas we need help. Maye could use someone with some catch radius. T Mac would be a great pick.
*Unless there’s a wide receiver who is generational…they aren’t worth taking in the top 10. You’re better off getting a proven guy out of free agency. It’s easier to get a starting WR out of free agency than a starting OT.*
mayo is such a good head coach... players wanna play for him. i don't wanna become the nfl team that switches head coaches every 1.5 years. it's a toxic environment and doesn't allow any chance for stability or growth, especially for young players... I def agree with most of draft commentary tho y'all, keep it up!!!
Come on, Kashon Boutte and Pop Douglas have been game changers! Honestly Pats don't win any games(except maybe Cincy) without Boutte. Then you guys talk about the second best receiver on Ohio St. J Smith can be an X he is in the shadow of Egbuka. Anyways lets really look at what some of the needs are OL, DL, LB, then WR, give the rest of the season to actually see what we have with the young WR's instead of KJ Osborne!
Will Campbell will be a guard in the NFL or a very mediocre LT. If the patriots take him they are wasting a pick. Sure you can co cb, but you’re not addressing a need. It’s either McMillan or you go edge in the top 5. Otherwise your trading back or wasting a pick
WRONG!!! Tetairoa McMillan is a average speed contested catch WR. Exactly what the Patriots DO NOT WASTE A 1ST ROUND DRAFT PICK ON. George Balekji your views on Patriots football are moronic! You're really really bad! At 1/7 the Patriots should pick either OT Will Campbell (if his arm length checks out), OT Kelvin Banks, DT Mason Graham, or CB Will Johnson.
*They should trade back and take Banks or Campbell to play the tackle/guard position. Next years offensive tackle draft has some much better prospects coming out.*
flyingelvis8850 Did you miss Mike Evans/Drake London comp? What about them screams elite speed? or not thriving in contested catch situations? And you know what system helps WRs that don't have elite speed for separation? The west coast offense which the Patriots run. Moronic comment flyingelvis8850
@@georgebalekji3 N'Keal Harry sound familiar. Separation is what all Patriots WR's need. Demario Douglas is the only Patriot WR who can separate. Arizona plays in inferior Big 12 Conference. The 2025 NFL Draft lacks 1st Round WR talent. WR Tetairoa McMillan is a coin flip. Currently at 1/7 the Patriots need a shore thing. CB Will Johnson, LB Abdul Carter, DT Mason Graham, OT Will Campbell if his arms measure over 33". WR Tetairoa McMillan might not even be a 1st Rd WR in the 2024 draft. And you want the Patriots to take him at 1/7? Who does McMillan play against? The 1st Big 12 CB selected in the 2024 Draft was 4th Round. Look at McMillans competition. Sorry, picking WR Tetairoa McMillan at pick 1/7 is Moronic!

Appreciate your comment bro! Good stuff.

I love Stewart from Oregon. Smooth route runner, I’m sick of getting “athletic freaks” get someone that’s good at playing the position
*If we want to add the best offensive weapon we can at 7…then they should draft Jeanty.*

I say get Isiah Bond in the second
How you want them to run RPO , showing your cards so early when the team is rebuilding let them wait untill they get the oL fix and wr develop
Luther Burden is Randal Cobb 😂wtf

Agreed on those 4 players

@JonStark117 If Patriots trade back from 1/7, both OT/G Campbell and Banks will be gone.
