I've been watching rap battles religiously since the days of Jump Off .. I can honestly see, this is the most entertaining battle I've ever witnessed. Never have I laughed so hard and went so crazy over some of the bars and flows in this battle. That grime shit in Dialect and Zen's second got me so gassed I felt like I was at the event.. and Shuffle and Marlo are actually invincible. They're timing is impeccable.. Best battle I've seen since I can remember. Big up to all four, these are the battles I wait for!! DFAFD
Shufflo completely destroyed the past, present and future of the partnership of Dialect and Zen, because they are completely unbeatable. There is genuinely nothing you can say to Shufflo that would be a good angle in a battle. Illmaculate and The Saurus would be the next suitable matchup for them, if not, Charron and his chosen partner. These two are the best battle rappers since the written era began.

Love this battle, been waiting to give my thots on it for a while, so here's the breakdown. Round 1 Dialect and Zen: "Adam's family yard..." (+1) "...stabbed in the park with a sarcastic remark." (+1) "...trickery to the top of the card." (+1) Pls no more 'biscuit' lines... "Teenagers wear tweed blazers." (+1) "...robbin' a place I was gonna blow up." (+1) "It's always freestyle time..." (+1) Whole 'frenemies' angle went pretty well overall, I think, added a lot of strength to Dialect and Zen's 1st round. Total: 6 Marlo and Shuffle: "Shut up Dialect and Zen." Hilarious start, would have been good in second round too. (+1) Felt like Shufflo's first scheme was a lot of filler, they only saved it by making fun of themselves at the end. Worth noting that their multis were really on-point tho, very good writing despite the content not popping. "Leningrad/Dexter's Lab." (+1, mostly for the strength of the multis in this bar set.) "Was that scheme a minute long?" (+1) "...two separate battles on a split-screen." (+1) Bowski and Sarters crack-up (+1) "You two/U2 have been forced on us..." (+1) I got the 'you're street' reference but didn't understand the punch... "Christmas is cancelled." (+1) "How dare he milk bars of this topic..." (+1, sick homonyms) "...dropping it." (Sick multis in this bar set as well, +1) "Kids starving in Africa." (+1) "Quite aware that your friend keeps looking at me..." (+1) I think Marlo and Shuffle picked up the 'focus on one of their two opponents' from their Dirtbag Dan and Caustic match-up, and it's really working for them here. Missed what type of bars Marlo said are shit, I feel that prevented me from understanding his scheme here. "You've got dicks on the head like you fell asleep at a party." (+1) "I'm not talking about an erection when I say I keep my semi tucked..." (+1, sick reference mate.) Weather vane line was weak as fuck... "I'm gonna write a bar about that!" (+1) 'nifty dude/goons' scheme was rad (+1) "Fifteen dudes in shitty boots running through my living room/nick me spoons" (+1, both great lines) "One of these days, they could be killing /you/." (+1) "Die in a hole Zen!" (+1, stepping up the single focus here). Total: 16 2nd round winner: Dialect and Zen I feel like this round was closer than people think, but even if Marlo and Shuffle had tied for points, I still would have given it to Dialect and Zen, their grime shit was too notable to not give the round to. ----------------- Round 3 Dialect and Zen: Dialect's cookie/chocolate flip (+1) Wasn't feeling either of Zen's flips this round. Feel like he earned a (+1) for his home invasion line tho. 'Fiesta from '83' line (+1, feel they could have played up the 'Marlo's chick left him' angle to a much greater extent in this battle) Felt like Zen and Dialect really fell off this round, lost a lot of steam and many of their bars were total filler. "...like a parachute." (+1) "...Two can play at that game." (-1, weak line Antony Murphy dropped already.) "...music they made." (+1) Peace treaty angle was really weak, because it actually went over quite well at KotD. "...paper plane..." (+1, half decent). "Kinda like that peace treaty that never got signed." (+1) Total: 6 Shuffle T and Marlo: 'Two Can' flip (+1, gj calling out that garbage line.) "Why don't you punch me?" voice was killer (+1) "I'll punch someone..." scheme had sick multis (+1, and the Zen predict at the end gave them the battle, obvs :P) "gun at his hips that doesn't exist." (+1) Tempted to give the Goosebumps line a -1, totally forced simile. "Look at me when I'm killing you!" (+2, this played great w/ the multiple riffs on it). 'so real/no deal' (+1, really liked the intensity step-up here. Feel like Shuffle pulled it off way better than Marlo, I would have liked to see him go a little bit harder.) "You're not a bad looking guy." (+1, lol) "My mum thinks you're hot, and she normally hates... dads." (+1 haha) "Trophy for last place." (+1) "That shit made me groan man, cheers." (+1) Facebook scheme (+1, good point, and great multis) "...have some fucking dignity." (+1, good multis in this scheme too.) "...say they rate you lyrically..." (+1, great multi) "Maybe if you actually wrote instead of rebuttaling lines..." (+1, really talking to Zen here.) 'Sidesteps/Chuckle brothers' (+1) "Only one of you has a rap career." (+1, harsh) 'Chandelier' line, sick (+1) "And we're humble as fuck!" (+1) "You're 19? Get outta here!" (+1, really enjoying Shuffle's delivery here, wish these guys came this hard regularly.) Total: 20 3rd Round winner: Shuffle T and Marlo Overall battle result: Shuffle T and Marlo 2-1 Fantastic battle, kind of bummed that Shuffle T and Marlo didn't bring it quite as much as they could have, but they had great angles and clearly took this one IMO. Would love to see them vs. Mark Grist and Mixy in the new year, even if that might be a posh overload. :P
Come back to watch this again every now and then. One of the best uk battles ever. Unanymous judging at the end gets more painful to watch every time though
I think dialect and especially zen showed up personally i dont think shufflo can be beat because they just have so much creativity and it works so well but props to both teams great battle 2-1 shufflo imo i totally agree with dna's assesment
This is one of the best DF battles of all time, hardly a battle that went back and forth like that in the first two rounds - especially in what was a high stakes match. 1st round, it's like Shuffle and Marlo T have already won with their hilarious angles and back and forth chemistry, hard to match that. 2nd round, Dialect and Zen completely reversed the momentum and the crowd was eating out of the palm of their hands. That is probably the only time someone clearly out shined shufflo as a team, by being more entertaining. Third round, Shuffle T and Marlo seem to show why they deserve to be champions - but that doesn't change the fact that at one point this battle was completely even and one of the best released on Don't Flop or any channel for that matter. Classic, tons of replay value.

Crazy battle, good call by the judges. The G-dash dude broke it down perfectly, Shuffle T & Marlo's teamwork in these matches are just hard to compete against. No knock to Dialect & Zen tho because they came wit some real dope shit, especially in the 2nd, killed it.
I'm a big fan of Dialect, he's amazing at grime, rap, and he's holding it down in dont flop, zen is good at grime and a sick freestyler I rate them both, as much as I prefer bars over the jokes and drama, Shuffle T and Marlo defended their title amazingly , they really are an amazing team, I'd love to see Shuffle T & Marlo vs Eddie P& Frisko, they both have amazing teamwork & chemistry, I think it would be very entertaining to see.
As an American, I always research shufflos bars that go over my head. And when I see that there are chocolate bars called topic, dairy milk bars and gulyion shells, it makes this battle so much better.
Having the rounds unlimited was a brilliant idea, it meant that there were no cheap jokes just to fill up time. Sharlo did very well to make Zen look hurt

SPOILER WARNING! The battle was very sick and I'm so happy it got uploaded today! I really like Shuffle T and Marlo but know these words come unbiased. On a serious note, I admit I don't understand what they're saying half the time when someone grime raps, but I know Dialect is a BEAST at it and seeing Zen bounce with him back and forth was AMAZING! Shuffle T and Marlo pointed out a big flaw though. Besides their grime round, they weren't really bouncing off of each other and doing what a good tag team does, which was one of the biggest reasons Shuffle T and Marlo buried them there. They're just really good at feeding off one another and you can tell they practice and put the work in. The split screen line for me was the biggest point made. Overall though, great match, knew some judges would go for the harder route but seeing guys like Lotta Zay and DNA lean towards ShuffLo (love that line too) that shows something. Great battle and looking forward to the rest!

I think people don't give Zen the credit he deserves because his body language is a bit awkward which side tracks you while he's rapping just my opinion, Heavy battle though, Zen & Dialect I think surprised some, Marlo & Shuffle T are just so prepared and so much thought put into it.

Minzii111 Shuffle T and Marlo are pure entertainment. Dialect and Zen are way better rappers than them but i don't question T's and Marlo's abilities to rap either. I am sure they are pretty good when it comes to rap on beat.
MARLO & SHUFFLE , they stand head and shoulders above everybody else. Its like going to an entertaining play, you would pay for. They have artistry . For me any how, DF is super lucky to have these two.
Best battle I've seen in a while, Shuffle and Marlo just came with every angle and broke them down every round. Dialect and Zen came with it every round but Shuffle and Marlo just cancelled everything out, bodied 2-1 maybe even 3-0!
I can honestly say that this is one of my favourite Don't Flop battles of all time. Both sides brought it hard but Shuffle T & Marlo killed it. There's no beating them when they start bouncing off each other - their chemistry alone wins them battles. Saying that, Dialect & Zen were on point too, and I especially loved their grime segue in round two. Nine times out of ten they win the battle solely on that but Shuffle & Marlo are just sick as fuck. As so many scored it - 2-1 Shuffle & Marlo.
That shit Zen was laying on Marlo about depression with the Robin Williams punchline was stone fucking cold! Neverseen Marlo take anything that hard in a bout before, props to Zen and Dialect for that. Shuffle and Marlo overall win well deserved tho

Dialect and Zen have such an incredible stage presence that if it was anyone else they would deadly, you just can't compare to Shufflo's preparation and teamwork.

I realize this is an old comment but here you are: being a poacher is role that makes you closer (Klose) to your goal. Miroslav Klose is a forward who was labeled a poacher because of his play style (scoring goals off the rebound etc).
This battle was mad debatable. The 1st 2 could go either way but the 3rd was a clear bag for Marlo and Shuffle. One thing I really liked is as an American I didn't get a lot of lines and I thinks it's great when battlers express themselves instead of trying to appeal to the "culture."
That second round was incredible from Zen and Dialect, i get that they don't battle like a "team" e.g. Shufflo, but that back and forth was insane, so that round was theirs, regardless of the hometown advantage

I feel like this round was closer than people think, but even if Marlo and Shuffle had tied for points, I still would have given it to Dialect and Zen, their grime shit was too notable to not give the round to.

Felt like Zen and Dialect really fell off this round, lost a lot of steam and many of their bars were total filler.

This is one of the best DF battles of all time, hardly a battle that went back and forth like that in the first two rounds - especially in what was a high stakes match.
1st round, it's like Shuffle and Marlo T have already won with their hilarious angles and back and forth chemistry, hard to match that. 2nd round, Dialect and Zen completely reversed the momentum and the crowd was eating out of the palm of their hands. That is probably the only time someone clearly out shined shufflo as a team, by being more entertaining.
Third round, Shuffle T and Marlo seem to show why they deserve to be champions - but that doesn't change the fact that at one point this battle was completely even and one of the best released on Don't Flop or any channel for that matter. Classic, tons of replay value.

I'm a big fan of Dialect, he's amazing at grime, rap, and he's holding it down in dont flop, zen is good at grime and a sick freestyler I rate them both, as much as I prefer bars over the jokes and drama, Shuffle T and Marlo defended their title amazingly , they really are an amazing team, I'd love to see Shuffle T & Marlo vs Eddie P& Frisko, they both have amazing teamwork & chemistry, I think it would be very entertaining to see.

As an American, I always research shufflos bars that go over my head. And when I see that there are chocolate bars called topic, dairy milk bars and gulyion shells, it makes this battle so much better.
Having the rounds unlimited was a brilliant idea, it meant that there were no cheap jokes just to fill up time. Sharlo did very well to make Zen look hurt

The battle was very sick and I'm so happy it got uploaded today! I really like Shuffle T and Marlo but know these words come unbiased. On a serious note, I admit I don't understand what they're saying half the time when someone grime raps, but I know Dialect is a BEAST at it and seeing Zen bounce with him back and forth was AMAZING! Shuffle T and Marlo pointed out a big flaw though. Besides their grime round, they weren't really bouncing off of each other and doing what a good tag team does, which was one of the biggest reasons Shuffle T and Marlo buried them there. They're just really good at feeding off one another and you can tell they practice and put the work in. The split screen line for me was the biggest point made. Overall though, great match, knew some judges would go for the harder route but seeing guys like Lotta Zay and DNA lean towards ShuffLo (love that line too) that shows something. Great battle and looking forward to the rest!

I think people don't give Zen the credit he deserves because his body language is a bit awkward which side tracks you while he's rapping just my opinion, Heavy battle though, Zen & Dialect I think surprised some, Marlo & Shuffle T are just so prepared and so much thought put into it.

I can honestly say that this is one of my favourite Don't Flop battles of all time. Both sides brought it hard but Shuffle T & Marlo killed it. There's no beating them when they start bouncing off each other - their chemistry alone wins them battles.
Saying that, Dialect & Zen were on point too, and I especially loved their grime segue in round two. Nine times out of ten they win the battle solely on that but Shuffle & Marlo are just sick as fuck.

I realize this is an old comment but here you are: being a poacher is role that makes you closer (Klose) to your goal. Miroslav Klose is a forward who was labeled a poacher because of his play style (scoring goals off the rebound etc).
I'm surprised at the apparent surprise on Zen's performance. For me Zen has been a serious DF contender for time.

This battle was mad debatable. The 1st 2 could go either way but the 3rd was a clear bag for Marlo and Shuffle. One thing I really liked is as an American I didn't get a lot of lines and I thinks it's great when battlers express themselves instead of trying to appeal to the "culture."
