I’m in women’s rugby, and I have had to play against a few teams that have a trans girls on the roster. I’m only in highschool, and have witnessed the difference between boys and girls on the field - as one of the girls on my team got a broken collar bone from the transitioned “girl”. The difference in strength and muscle mass is insane, and honestly dangerous, especially in contact sports.
You and your teammates should not compete and take a stand, that is not ok and I hope that women athletes come together and stop this dangerous nonsense.

Trans athletes could open a can of worms here and political correctness could eat its own tail, so Trans women who still have testosterone should get their T levels reduced to make it fair, so now they should check the T levels of black sprinters compared to whites, if we are to be fair we should also reduce mens T levels to make it fair right? If you really look into sports there are reasons why a man is stronger and faster than a woman, but also within one sex and split the sex by race, for example, why do whites dominate swimming and blacks dominate sprinting, take these dominating factors and you may have fairness also in these sports.
Gerald Fiore bruh, I researched this shot for a few months and wrote a like 2000 word essay on it, and it goes much deeper than just current T levels. Even if they are currently at the same testosterone levels, they are gonna be bigger from past exposure to T, they have larger hearts and lungs, allowing them to recover faster and last for longer periods of time, and even stronger bones. Just because they have the same levels of T at the time of the test doesn’t mean they are on a level playing field.

Thanks Joe. I am having an online scuffle with several transgender cancel culture types. They are insulting me for saying it's unfair, and just plain indecent not to protect our naturally born women. I'm just an 66 year old guy who works out like a maniac, and completes ultramarathons. Mainly, to inspire other seniors to get fit. I don't have much money, influence, friends, followers, to have much impact with my message. But I try, I try really hard to provide truthful content. I said it was an unfair fight. And these cancel culture types are implying I'm a bigot, or just plain stupid. I may be stupid to these intellectual antagonists. But I'm honest, and I try to prove my points, by personal example. I can't believe we're still having these discussions 5 years later. I'm just glad that a lot of the professional sports have now finally started restricting access and I'm hoping eventually we'll have a completely seperate category for trans sports so trans people are being given the opportunity to compete without taking advantage of the current system.

There is a lot more to being a woman than taking hormones and having surgery. We do think differently than men. I can say this because I was a software developer for thirty years. I did have a different approach or way of looking at a problem than the men that I worked with. We move through the world in a different way. Then there are the years of social conditioning that are completely different than men`s. Then there is the courage that it takes to walk through the world as prey or as the object. I am only mentioning a few differences. All of it is completely different experience than cannot be changed or adjusted with hormones and surgery.
My friends daughter plays ncaa Lacrosse and a male to "female" player on the other team, just destroyed everyone , he/she hit and checked so hard , that person took 3 players out the game. 1 concution and the 2 other girls got pounded so bad it was like watching a full grown male bull let loose into pen of babies.

In Connecticut, in girls track and field, 10 different girls set records in 10 different events over the course of 20 seasons. In 1 season a transgender (male) athlete broke all 10 records.

There is a 7km climb in my hometown with a 10% slope and My record three years ago cycling up was 1sec faster than the fastest woman . I was 50 , slightly overweight and she was a 23years old triathlete. I'm sure if I lose another 10 to 20lbs and get below my teenage weigh at less than 130lbs I'll leave here in the dust
Natural born men - build muscle fast. have higher bone density. skin/tissue is thicker. natural born women - cannot build muscle faster than men, and have a lower bone density. hence why osteoporosis affects way more women than men. Also, our estrogen levels literally makes our skin/tissue thinners. hence why women build up calluses on feet more than men... really have nothing to do with shoes in majority of the cases. We are both physically different regardless of what your brain tells you how you feel. If none of these was an issue why the hell do we have male and female divisions separated.

These hormones have specific characteristics. like you were saying, estrogen makes your skin thinner, which is also why it feels softer. that’s why women can be colder then men, even if they’re the same weight. also, women tend to be anemic more then men which can make women colder. there are biological differences, and that’s why trans people block their biological hormone and take a synthetic hormone of the gender they want to be

Hi! I'm a woman and a physical freak that Joe was referring to.... 6'1 and faster/stronger than most women, and I can't compete against most men in terms of strength and speed. These MEN that are trying to come into women's sports are 1) Psychologically sick and/or 2) Failed male athletes that are so desperate to win that they decide to compete against women.

@@scripturereading9039 In regards to combat sports there’s a lot of rules and regulations for the sake of SAFETY. There’s weight classes, certain types of gloves you’re supposed to use, and more to make it as safe as they can for both fighters. If you let a transgender woman fight in a women’s league you’re letting a biological male who developed already fight a bunch of women. That’s not safe or fair in the slightest. It’s like when that one transgender woman just started smashing weightlifting records in the women’s division.
The overriding element that came from this episode is that: In an effort to be inclusive and protect the rights and freedoms of a transgender including their right to compete, we have removed everyone born as a woman’s right to be be competitive and have any chance. If this continues to be allowed, it will change woman’s sport forever.

Actually a man here in Argentina (where the trans laws are some of the most progressive in the world) did declare himself a woman at age 59. Why? Women get their retirement at 60. Men get it at 65.

Thing is, I'm not even sure this is a trans thing. If you transform a guy to a women you can still compete, But you need to compete against the other guys. Not against the women. We dont separate the genders in sports because of some abstract concept of gender we do it for reason of biology

Hey joe so the argument for the male to female gender transition is that aside from the bone density fact, their argument is that if a male transitions to a female and has their genitals surgically removed that they can not produce testosterone like they were able to as a male so i just wanted to hear your thoughts on that! I just thought it was interesting because I was watching this video and another one where you were talking about the female MMA fighters being at a tremendous disadvantage and then I saw a video about the male transgender actually having a substantially lower testosterone level due having their genitals removed! They still have advantages. Think of two athletes and one using performance enhancing drugs for a long time benefiting from that in training with strength, stamina and vitality. Then they stop taking the PEDs and after they get out of their system that person still has many advantages over other athletes even if they no more have any substances In their body.

I'm transgender and I completely agree with nearly everything said here. Acceptance doesn't mean ignoring reality. I would think that nearly every trans person should understand that life's not fair, but it sadly doesn't seem to be the case. It sucks that you might not be able to compete in something that you once loved, but that's part of the price in going through with the process. I truly want to believe that the people who use the threat of having others perceived as a bigot in order to get their way, are a vocal minority; but increasingly my doubts about that grow. It truly is a toxic manipulative community and I hate being associated with them. I just want to live my life as a normal person and not get any special attention, and to be able to with my body what makes me feel comfortable and happy. Ironically one of the most difficult parts of transition for me has been people assuming I'm like these assholes.

I am actually writing a paper on this subject in my English class. I freakin love that you spoke on this. Joe, you definitely nailed it when you said: "a man becomes a more protective class of women than a biological woman." As an athlete myself, I think that they should come up with a way to have a league of their own. I am all for transgenders to play recreationally with cisgender to stay active and community inclusiveness. However, competing at a level for financial gain or national/international recognition at the expense of the fairness of cisgender women is BS. Men and women right now and for the longest time has been separated in sports from the junior to elite level and for obvious reasons. The majority of men are faster, stronger, more agile. If being born either a man or woman didn't have a direct impact on sports performance then why have different standards in the first place? Because it DOES have a direct impact and identifying as a gender that you weren't born with doesn't change that.
Honestly, believe it or not, living and going to school in Southern California, I was nervous to even speak up my mind...but I have a right to speak my opinion in a debate setting. I did have some people look at me and kindly disagree but overall no one bullied me. :) I just finished a class called psychology of sex and gender and now listening to the podcast, I think describing the difference between sex and gender is gender is the operating system and sex is the hardware. I think that is the most accurate way to describe it...I believe transgenders have every right to look and feel exactly how they see themselves however competiting in sports especially combat or physically driven sports falls under the hardware (aka biology) and cisgender should have the right to choose whether to compete against them without ridicule.

There is a lot more to being a woman than taking hormones and having surgery. We do think differently than men. I can say this because I was a software developer for thirty years. I did have a different approach or way of looking at a problem than the men that I worked with. We move through the world in a different way. Then there are the years of social conditioning that are completely different than men`s. Then there is the courage that it takes to walk through the world as prey or as the object. I am only mentioning a few differences. All of it is completely different experience than cannot be changed or adjusted with hormones and surgery.

Natural born men - build muscle fast. have higher bone density. skin/tissue is thicker.
natural born women - cannot build muscle faster than men, and have a lower bone density. hence why osteoporosis affects way more women than men. Also, our estrogen levels literally makes our skin/tissue thinners. hence why women build up calluses on feet more than men... really have nothing to do with shoes in majority of the cases.

@LGEX have u ever played sports? when i played Basketball (2 years ago) and we played friendly matches against the kids that were 2 years younger than us we always always smashed them without even trying. They are supposedly the best national women's team , they are expected to win without even trying.

Hey joe so the argument for the male to female gender transition is that aside from the bone density fact, their argument is that if a male transitions to a female and has their genitals surgically removed that they can not produce testosterone like they were able to as a male so i just wanted to hear your thoughts on that! I just thought it was interesting because I was watching this video and another one where you were talking about the female MMA fighters being at a tremendous disadvantage and then I saw a video about the male transgender actually having a substantially lower testosterone level due having their genitals removed! So my question is would you say that only a transgender woman can only participate in MMA if they have over gone the genital removal procedure? Or would you say that even with that fact in mind they should not be allowed to participate

They still have advantages. Think of two athletes and one using performance enhancing drugs for a long time benefiting from that in training with strength, stamina and vitality. Then they stop taking the PEDs and after they get out of their system that person still has many advantages over other athletes even if they no more have any substances In their body.

I'm transgender and I completely agree with nearly everything said here. Acceptance doesn't mean ignoring reality. I would think that nearly every trans person should understand that life's not fair, but it sadly doesn't seem to be the case. It sucks that you might not be able to compete in something that you once loved, but that's part of the price in going through with the process. I truly want to believe that the people who use the threat of having others perceived as a bigot in order to get their way, are a vocal minority; but increasingly my doubts about that grow. It truly is a toxic manipulative community and I hate being associated with them. I just want to live my life as a normal person and not get any special attention, and to be able to with my body what makes me feel comfortable and happy. Ironically one of the most difficult parts of transition for me has been people assuming I'm like these assholes.

I am actually writing a paper on this subject in my English class. I freakin love that you spoke on this. Joe, you definitely nailed it when you said: "a man becomes a more protective class of women than a biological woman." As an athlete myself, I think that they should come up with a way to have a league of their own. I am all for transgenders to play recreationally with cisgender to stay active and community inclusiveness. However, competing at a level for financial gain or national/international recognition at the expense of the fairness of cisgender women is BS. Men and women right now and for the longest time has been separated in sports from the junior to elite level and for obvious reasons. The majority of men are faster, stronger, more agile. If being born either a man or woman didn't have a direct impact on sports performance then why have different standards in the first place? Because it DOES have a direct impact and identifying as a gender that you weren't born with doesn't change that.

Honestly, believe it or not, living and going to school in Southern California, I was nervous to even speak up my mind...but I have a right to speak my opinion in a debate setting. I did have some people look at me and kindly disagree but overall no one bullied me. :) I just finished a class called psychology of sex and gender and now listening to the podcast, I think describing the difference between sex and gender is gender is the operating system and sex is the hardware. I think that is the most accurate way to describe it...I believe transgenders have every right to look and feel exactly how they see themselves however competiting in sports especially combat or physically driven sports falls under the hardware (aka biology) and cisgender should have the right to choose whether to compete against them without ridicule.
