1:28 Imagine someone who has never scene this cutscene (pun intended) watching this video and is just confused at Trevor yelling at his boot "WELL THANK YOU VERY MUCH COWBOY."
It’s amazing how similar Trevor and Niko are, they both had joined the army that didn’t turn out so good in the end, then turned to the criminal underworld that also had some casualties where they fell into a pit of despair, then came into a land where they thought they could get away from their past, where on Niko’s part he came into america seeking revenge while also wanting to live a good life like his cousin but all he saw was that america was no better than where he came from, Trevor on the other hand only became more angry and reckless wanting to create a new business of weapons trafficking to fill the void in his heart. Then it turned out that everything they thought about who they admired was a lie, being that Roman was never really rich and Michael was never dead, and that neither of them were a man, this resulted in them being dragged back into the criminal underworld and on top of it getting roped into a mess with both the government and the mafia while also being responsible for it all. later on Trevor finds out that his old friend Michael not only betrayed him but also got his other friend killed, causing him to get even more angry and drive him even deeper into insanity to the point where he almost brings himself to kill Michael, this is similar to how Darko had betrayed Niko and got eight of his friends from the army killed causing Niko to want revenge, these were the whole reasons why Trevor had came to Los Santos in the first place which was to find his presumed to be dead friend and why Niko came to America which was to find his last remaining friends looking for revenge, Trevor was able to move on from his hatred towards Michael in the end meanwhile Niko being able to move on from his towards Darko over wanting to kill him is the player’s choice. These two also have their differences, unlike Michael Roman actually cared about his cousin and wanted him to live a normal life, Michael on the other hand didn’t think the same for his friend Trevor, all he saw was this murderous psychopath who wanted to kill him and his family, he even is on board with killing Trevor in Ending A and doesn’t even show any sympathy after doing so, while Trevor in Ending B refuses to kill Michael staying loyal to him. They both are also very critical of Los Santos and Liberty City as soon as they arrive in both cities, Trevor hates the celebrities of Los Santos and anything Los Santos related, and Niko sees the people of Liberty City as terrible people trash even, even worse then who he was dealing with back home, the parallels between these two is astounding Rockstar really did a great job writing both these characters.

I feel like Trevor is more of a sociopath, phsycopaths tend to blend in are typically charming; which trevor does not. They are good at convincing you they are normal and harmless, but also see others as nothing but pawns and amusement. There is a scale, and Trevor does have some tendencies. But Trevor actually values loyalty and friendship and he doesnt take being betrayed kindly at all. High level psychos dont value loyalty at all and would screw anyone over (think Dimitri Rascalov), regardless of how much love and good upbringing is given to them when given the chance.
Michael is the true psychopath... He blends in with normal society but has this pent up rage inside him that he bottles up inside, and when the pressure is too high, he releases that rage in the most destructive ways (pulling Madrazo's house off the hill, setting up his friends to die, etc). I'm convinced he mostly uses his family as an excuse to never take responsibility for his actions. Dr. Freidlander even says that Michael often justifies his wrongdoings to make him feel better.
I heard that sociopaths are more dangerous and unpredictable than psychopaths, psychopaths are'nt neccesserally always evil, but socipaths are generally criminals and people with alot of issues, so what you say is true, just supporting your point 👍
My Grandpa is a medically diagnosed sociopath. It's actually caused by repeated neglect, abuse, and/or molestation as a child usually. Sociopaths are still capable of some emotional connection, but have some issues relating to others. They tend to have emotional problems and impulsive behaviors. That's not to say they can't live a normal life. My grandpa has a family and has never been convicted of a crime. Psychopaths on the otherhand are born like that. They have NO ability to connect to anyone. It is believed what causes this is some sort of neurological difference that prevents the person from having any form of emotional response to normal people. They don't have the same impulsive behavior, but rather their lack of compassion makes them more likely to chose violence to get what they want.
2:58 I think this part of Trevor's backstory is a reference to the serial killer Ed Gein. Gein had an over bearing mother just like Trevor. Gein was also not fond of his brother and he, allegedly, killed his brother. The circumstances of Trevor's brother's death are still a mystery as are the circumstances of Gein's brother. It is also generally accepted that Gein killed his brother so it would stand to reason that Trevor killed his brother

The things Trevor did like somehow burning down a mall or strangling a clarinet player to death is just nearly impossible for someone that age. Like I don’t even know how he is not dead at this point.
I sometimes wonder if Trevor ever just says (and does) stuff to scare and intimidate people for shock value, leading me to wonder if certain things claimed about him are actually true, like the two things you mentioned.
I was watching The Shining a few months ago. It was my first time seeing it in a while. Man, I don't know if Jack Torrance was an intended inspiration for Trevor or Steven Ogg, but man, I saw a lot of Trevor in Jack. Like, watch the scene where he's chasing Wendy up the stairs, and raving at her insanely as she swings the bat at him. Tell me that ain't Trevor.
Trevor has always fascinated me, to the point where I'd study his behavior throughout the game. As a psychopath by definition he is naturally a very complex man. But that's the thing, despite his psychotic and often completely irrational behavior and terrifyingly explosive anger, he consistently shows a level of humanity, morality, honor, sensitivity and even self-awareness, that you'd expect to be completely non-existent in a typical psychopath. This heavily contradicts the usual psychopath stereotype. This shows while he's beyond all psychological help, he isn't truly beyond REASON. I'm not a psychologist but I can see that the main difference between Trevor and Michael is that Michael is a narcissistic ego-driven sociopath by nature, partially because of his own poor upbringing and his parents abandoning him, while he is not truly without empathy and kindness, said moments of such qualities are extremely rare where he's concerned. Trevor is, shockingly, almost the complete opposite in this regard, he values loyalty and as you saw, he takes it very seriously. A typical psychopath would exhibit the exact opposite of this behavior. Bluntly put, they are usually loyal to no-one but themselves, they only USE people if they happen to be beneficial to THEM. Another key thing that defines a usual psychopath is that they are, more often than not, toxic hypocrites. If and when called out for being crazy, they will typically NEVER ADMIT TO IT (though this depends on the circumstances) and deflect the shame by gaslighting their victim(s), a common tactic on their part. In stark contrast to this, Trevor is shockingly honest about himself for a psychopath. He does acknowledge and admit to his craziness and his reckless behavior and, in a hangout conversation, he even expresses a significant fear of his own personality, something a normal psychopath would NEVER do, this moment of humility on Trevor's part really left . Despite his destructive behavior, ruthlessness and the constant suffering, what with all the abuse and betrayals that made him into what he is today, Trevor is truly a good person at heart, he's a man of principle, wise, sharp, extremely intelligent and cares deeply for his family and new friends, he takes his work very seriously. He is very righteous and well-mannered and also disgusted by racism and misogyny and kills anyone who would harm his newfound loved ones in any way. Yes, Trevor's behavior alone does make him completely insane by default but you have to understand that his abusive and lonely childhood is what shaped him into the homicidal maniac he is today, and this is just a typical shallow perception from the ''normal and sane'' society around him. He is ultimately a misunderstood soul with a damaged mind. When I first discovered his history, everything instantly made sense, no wonder he was driven insane, abused by his parents, one of them abandoning him. Then his brief relationship with Patricia showed that he only ever wanted be loved. He was gentle with her, and he never once hurt her. Patricia was special to Trevor, because she is one of, if not the only person to show him genuine kindness and compassion. To Trevor she was like the mother he always wanted in place of the abusive one he was stuck with. I'd say she was the key to bringing back Trevor's humanity, even if it was only briefly. I hope Trevor finds true happiness in the future.

I remember before the game came out, they tried to explain that Trevor was nuts, but I just thought "how out there can be be, really?" But god damn, once I played it. There's no describing it, he's deranged in a way I've never seen before.
Borderline personality disorder maybe? Trevor has grown on me over the last few years. It's weird that such a psycho has the strongest moral compass out of all the GTA 5 protags. I love Franklin, but these 3 needed each other for this game to be so great.
Man...GTA 5 had so much potential with the character ideas. It's almost like they looked at GTA 4's special missions like the back job and the wilder ballad of Gay Tony and then just thinking if cool heist style missions and figuring out the story later. Gta 4 has artistic merit with its commentary on the American dream whereas gtaV just... doesn't put the work in for building each characters motives which is what happens when you have 3 protagonists. The idea of Trevor being the reflection of what the US media believed that GTA would make people. If they went all in with Trevor as the MC and merge Michaels idea of therapy and focus on the mental health aspect of his character with the end game as the scope of the story widens as each game always dies. His mental state making him valuable to the government as a violent sociopath until he is inevitably back stabbed and is hunted as a serial killer which technically is actually is. The change in story aims to have trevor who like many violent narcissist tendancies believing him only kills those who deserved it in his eye. The ending being that Trevor is able to uncover evidence of his instructions and build a case to release to the media if they continue to search for him wil have it automatically released if he doesn't check into various people and computers with passwords. Fearing reprisal, the government backs down from the man hunt claiming the serial killer was killed and Trevor's mugshot was a mistaken identity. The end being trevor realising that he is nigh on untouchable so attempts to start his own church for tax purposes.
For me...Trevor Phillips and Tommy Vercetti tie for the best GTA protagonist...Tommy is classic, but Trevor is cranked up to 11 at all times...ridiculously funny character.
@X_Milky I don't hate GTA IV since I love it, but it was a massive downgrade from San Andreas. You can't purchase haircuts, tattoos, can't customise your cars or weapons. Gunplay is poor. Can't even dive underwater, small map (although I like GTA IV's Liberty City), you can't fly in airplanes. Police AI is horribly passive, they don't ram your car or shoot your car's tires, unlike in the old 3D GTAs and GTA V, they just shoot at you and nothing else. I love GTA IV, but it doesn't deserve the title of 'The best GTA game', that would be San Andreas or Vice City. Also, you should change your name from "X_Milky" to "GTA IV ass kisser and worshipper".
say what you will about Trevor, that man would've followed Michael to hell and back if he asked him, i dunno if you could call him a sociapath as he seems to genuinally care for Micahel and his family my guess is he's a sadist with maybe co-dependency issues, losing Michael hit him pretty hard so he probably delved into drugs more to try and forget his failures like just look how worked up he gets when he sees how people treat Tracey? Dude is basically their Sadistic overprotective Uncle
Yk after all these years , I finally realized Brad walked in front of Trevor when he got shot, the shot was meant for Trevor…makes even more sense when Micheal says to Franklin “the wrong guy got killed”

Trevor , CJ and Toni are the most brutal GTA protagonists.
claude : sad killing noises
@@mohanselvaraj9913 Claude is also dangerous but he's not much brutal as these 3 protagonists.
@@Zygothknightlord claude is only seeking vengeance on that backstabbing bitch
CJ isn't brutal the fuck you talking about? I think Niko, is more brutal than him. 😂
@@Hyper_Kong CJ slitted a ton of bodyguards throat to steal a radio , drowned Madd Dogg's manager and one innocent woman , crused a bunch of farmers by using a body harvester , killed a bunch of construction workers then buried foreman alive in a cement and he killed a ton of his enemies in 4 cities while most other GTA protagonists only have to do that in one city. I think you should pay attention about this.
this was great man you put fantastic effort into this. im about binge watch the others.
I like that this includes online missions
Yeah , I didnt expect that
7:12 Trevor was told that brad was at a Supermax or maximum security prison for 10 years then he found out he was dead
High effort content like this is what TH-cam needs nowadays
This is my first time watching one of these as it was suggested to me, and I have to say that I love your wording when it comes to the missions with variables, definitely makes the storytelling more immersive.
7:13 didn’t he think brad alive but Michael was dead?
Yes he did...
Most likely he misspoke
This is gonna get me to buy the game again. I've a weird affinity for Trevor.
I love these man, keep up the awesome work
It had to be the Trevor video to get the infamous TH-cam demonization
So hype for the rest of these installments
wow I just discovered this channel these videos are godly btw I believe that GTA online mission part of the video took place after the events of the GTA V main story after Franklin chose the 3rd way and saved Michael and Trevor and you should do an updated video on Franklin cus he just got a little story expansion in GTA online
Yeah, at least Franklin chose not to kill anyone. I wonder who Lamar would’ve chosen to kill or if he’d have done the same as Franklin.
The GTA online apartment heists take place before story mode, everything after the gun running update takes place after
@@Bryan-lw5qz oh right I see, that all makes sense.
@@Sam_Brunt Despite Lamar acting like a clown in GTA V and Online, I don't think he would've betrayed anyone, as he helped Franklin and Trevor in a total of 5 missions.
@@Michael_De_Santa-Unofficial yeah, I see what you mean there and I don’t think he’d betray anyone either.

44:26 "you reptilian mf" 😵 the most funny line in the game
i'd never wanna meet him irl, but Trevor is the most entertaining character in the game.
Hey thanks for these man. Really help me goto sleep while understanding the game In a whole.
Well at least it’s uncensored now
I remember before the game came out, they tried to explain that Trevor was nuts, but I just thought "how out there can be be, really?"
But god damn, once I played it. There's no describing it, he's deranged in a way I've never seen before.
Kudos to Rockstar for making a character like Trevor so interesting and likeable
This video was outstanding I really enjoyed it
I wish GTA got a Michigan-Like area one day.
Don't we all😁
Detroit lol
@@jondoe4191 I was thinking more of Grand Rapids or Muskegon.
Biography of Lazlo will be epic
I liked the death bet they placed in on the big one heist, thought it really meant something.
I'm in love with Trevor Phillips
Plot twist. Everyone thinks Trevor's a psycho but Michael is the real psychopath.
Trevor is my second favorite GTA protagonist of all time
Who's your favorite
@@andrewstovall2139 Franklin
I'm CJ fan myself
You should make one on Laszlow himself. I’d watch it.
This game was a master piece.
@X_Milky that's just his opinion
@X_Milky he just said an opinion not saying that everyone must believe that
@X_Milky that's how u see it thats just an opinion
@@Michael_De_Santa-Unofficial same opinion
Trevor Philips: The pinnacle of Florida man!
At first I hated him for killing Johnny but Trevor is like a fungus, he grew on me.
Trevor is the best character in Gta and the most dangerous person to bump
Please do Arthur Morgan or Dutch Van Der Linde from Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2
Good idea
in the part where debra and floyd, debra killed floyd, and trevor killed debra with the knife.
How do you know, bro?
@@drillingig2368 radio reveals it in game afterwards

16:16 i like how michael just looks straight and asks jimmy a question
pls keep up this work you’re amazing at this
Trevor maybe one of the craziest SOB's in GTA history but he is a man of his word
say what you will about Trevor, that man would've followed Michael to hell and back if he asked him, i dunno if you could call him a sociapath as he seems to genuinally care for Micahel and his family
my guess is he's a sadist with maybe co-dependency issues, losing Michael hit him pretty hard so he probably delved into drugs more to try and forget his failures
like just look how worked up he gets when he sees how people treat Tracey? Dude is basically their Sadistic overprotective Uncle
Yeah something tells me Trevor did "Tear off Madrazo's ear" I think Trevor did a Mr. Raspberry Jam to him.
Amazing job! Good story telling with accurate details! I'm dead over lesters ass crack! 🤣
I think red dead biographies would be cool
Trevor is my favorite character in the game I play as him All the time
You need to do Lamar Davis from GTA 5 next.
Trevor believed that brad had survived and had been incarcerated in bowlingbroke penitentiary which was abetted by the correspondence from Dave 7:00
Yk after all these years , I finally realized Brad walked in front of Trevor when he got shot, the shot was meant for Trevor…makes even more sense when Micheal says to Franklin “the wrong guy got killed”
We need a Lester criminal history
Damm couldnt be one of the few houndereds to watch this lmao
Anyway great video
11:24 was this a real cut scene in game? Or was it from GTA Online?
You’re not the only one I’m trying to shut down Trevor Phillips industries
Trevor is such an interesting character
Steven ogg did a good job
this is great narration and scene play
crimes Trevor committed- yes
I bloody loved this!! Subbed x
It’s crazy that he’s such a broken character, love him.
he's a "six and a quarter inch tall man" damn he tiny @ 56:15
14:20 oh my god the lifeless nonchilant look on his face here as he just drives away afterwards 😂 i dunno why but i found this funny as hell
Ngl this make Trevor sound cooler than he is and makes me want to play GTA again
I thought he would use sociopath instead of psychopath. It disappointed me.
You know all about it sense you are one huh
00:33:17 I hated that mission. I know it's a video game, and I know you're playing villains... but killing all those cops and soldiers... it was the GTA V equivalent to blowing-up Megaton.
gonna be using facts from this to write a song about the mind of trevor Philips for my first album, amazing vid 🙌
Trevor Philips and Micah Bell ancestors? Only reason I ask is because Micah is practically Trevor without the meth.
Don't insult Trevor like that, he ain't a snake like Micah.
@@uwu-uv4mg you’re right despite his meth induced behavior Trevor is an honorable man. But if he is a descendant of Micah it doesn’t mean they’ll both turn out the same way. I have a cousin who’s great grandfather killed somebody back in the 60s but nobody else in my cousins family even came close to committing such a heanous act.
This is my introduction to this channel and I like that he is pretending that he is an actual journalist in the GTA universe
I swear I don’t remember seeing half of the cutscenes used in this video
Lets not forget that this is all canon
The gta online part was perfectly put in
I watched the first version of this and I’m going to sit here and watch this one too

He's prob my fave GTA character just because of how deep is character actually is. Sure he looks and sounds and acts like a complete pyscho but it's just a front, he just wants some love.
