The best thing about this movie is that they created an actual 70's blaxploitation film from start to finish, not just a parody. The camera, the sepia, the fashion, the cars, the slang, all of it is authentic. It's so well crafted... and mostly original content with a new plot and new characters too. They could've just wrote a glorified standup comedy that runs for an hour and a half like most comedies now

We never see him throw the object, and he appears from _behind_ the goon, meaning he could have been shadowing them in the room, unnoticed, the entire time waiting for a line to drop! Even waiting in the wing there, the goon checks the hallway, comes back, _Black Dynamite!_ Dude had been there the whole time, could definitely been eavesdropping on that entire conversation! Olympic level mental gymnastics! It can't always be used for evil!!!

That's exactly what I was thinking!! I saw this for the first time last night and I was so blown away by not only his impressive martial arts feats but his perfect comedic timing and presence. I was just, like, "Where is this guy? What's he been up to??"
It's almost a tragedy he's such a good martial artist, because people seem to miss that he is simply one of the funniest actors around. I sincerely believe comic timing can't be taught, and Michael's a natural. That sideways glance up at the boom mic is just perfect.

When this movie came out good comedy movies were everywhere this was the pre woke era. It stands out 20x more now as being a 10/10 movie. Time made it even better.
