- The restaurant scene from Black Dynamite.
"When The Man murders his brother, pumps heroin into local orphanages, and floods the ghetto with adulterated malt liquor, BLACK DYNAMITE is the one hero willing to fight all the way from the blood-soaked city streets to the hallowed halls of the Honky House."

“Asclepius, of course!” Is one of the all time great comedy lines. It gets me every single time
He had a staff... with snakes intertwinin' all around that bitch... They called it Asclepius' Staff!
@@kainhighwind2 😭😂🤣😂😭
The "I've seen it!" kills me.
Followed by "...with snakes intertwining all around that bitch."
The delivery of “Apollo slew the serpent at Delphi” is up there too

""da white man''
This movie is a work of genius.

21innocentbystander The first time I saw this movie I said "I've seen it" the same time he did. Tripped me out man.
“With snakes intertwining all around that bitch!” 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Most underrated line.
Which is of course wrong.
The medical field does indeed uses the staff of Asclepius as it's symbol, but said staff only has one snake (and no wings).
The staff with two snakes and wings (as ignorantly used by the US Army, for example) is the Caduceus - the staff of Hermes (symbol of commercialism, and the messenger and guide of the dead).
Popular myth has it, that a single American officer thought it "li looked cool" and that "there probably wasn't a difference between the two symbols" - despite them being clearly different and having different names.

How can you start at the destination when you don't even know where you're going? Sounds like the white man tryin' to throw the brothas off the track YET AGAIN.
But they wouldn't have tied it to Code Kansas
That's easily the best part
Shut up nerd
“785 is the area code for Topeka. Oh my God”
Like his brains figured it out and his feelings had to catch up. Perfect delivery
Literally was thinking about that line all day today
How the fuck did the writers come up with such an elaborate scene? True genius.
Keep talking until it gets where you want to be.
Reminds me of Nigahigas content.
Anaconda Malt Liqueur
Michael Jai White, Scott Sanders and Byron Minn are major nerds if an early interview about the film is to be believed.
Streets teach a man many things
What makes this scene even funnier: 785, the area code for TOPEKA, KANSAS didn't exist until 1997.
Wow shit jus keeps getting better.
This movie takes place in 1972 , 25 years too early
So perhaps anaconda malt liquor DOESNT give people little Richards?
The movie takes place in 1972 it was made in the 2000s
To add to the hilarity there is now a mars candy factory in Topeka.
Their Jeopardy-level history knowledge makes this convoluted brainstorm so much funnier.

As many times as I've seen this movie, I never put it together. Code Kansas spelled backwards, dropping the S = A snake doc(tor). This scene was so brilliant.

"You take Mars and spell it backwards, drop the S."
"Where's a pen?"
"Ram"

A professor made us watch this scene to explain the hilarity of conspiracy theories (which he vehemently argued didn’t merit the word “theory”). Still makes me laugh.
"With snakes intertwined all around that bitch" Goddammit lmao
This is still one of the funniest scenes in movies.
Normally I'd point out that Topeka Kansas didn't adopt the 785 area code until 1997 (it was 913 before then), but anachronisms are par for the course in these kinds of movies...so we'll just call it a reverse anachronism.
Does this fact make even they said invalid? (honest question)
Vlaphor Actually Black Dynamite takes place in the modern day...the writers were inspired by the 70's blackploitation era but Michael Jai White had said its a modern day movie with a 70's look so that may explain the Topeka area code.
How does that work? Nixon is the president in it!
The clothes, music, characters are from the 70's living in the modern era. The movie came out in either '09 or '10. It's a 70's style movie made in the 21st century.
shut the fuck up when grown folks is consipracy theoring
What “showing your work” looks and sounds like 😂😂😂
This is one of the greatest scenes ever put to film and you can't convince me otherwise
The fact that all of this makes sense is terrifyingly hilarious 😂😂😂😂
The first time I saw this movie, I laughed.
The second time; I laughed a lot.
The third time; I laughed till I was in serious pain.
Every time since; it's just too much.
Genuinely one of the best comedies since the turn of the century.
The writing for this scene is epic
The reason I liked this scene in the movie as well as in the TV version is because in a lot of crime shows and mysteries, it seems all hope is lost. But they find out the answer to what they were looking for because of something that had nothing to do with the investigation. In this case, waffles that melt in your mouth is what led them to figuring out what Anaconda Malt Liquor was for.
For anyone who wondered how conspiracy theories start, this video breaks it down
When they ran up in Gunsmokes apartment and his pants were around his ankles... I literally fell off the couch and laughed for 10 minutes on the floor. That shit was hilarious!

Actually, Asklepios' staff (the Asklepian) only had one snake coiled around it; the (winged) ROD with two snakes is the Caduceus, which belonged to Hermes, the Greek messenger god. The two were confused by the Medical Corps of the U.S. Army in 1902 and ever since the Caduceus has commonly been thought to be the symbol of medicine. Thought you might like to know!
