I actually like this interpretation - a lot - perhaps i have a lot of respect for Sokolov! I have actually been looking for a video of him dosing this piece. I ignored the piano sound and focussed on his musical interpretation which is quite 'distinct'. Hopefully i will find another one where the sound does him justice!

Of course not! Maestro Sokolov plays only with perfect pianos. I think sound in this hall is not so good actually.

I actually agree, Niclas. Some parts sound out of tune, but I don't know if it could be the microphones or acoustics or whatever.

Very poor recording. Mikes placed incorrectly. Lots of reverb and thus sounds out of tune.
