Gamecube Phantasy Star Online was actually the first time I played an online console game, and only the 5th graphical online game I played in general. Before that, I’d played Warcraft 3, Everquest, some random multiplayer word game, and some awesome free 2D competitive multiplayer spaceship combat game that controlled sort of like Asteroids that I can never remember the name of.
Edit: SubSpace was the name. All of those games were mind blowing to me at the time. I’d seen my Dad and uncle doing asynchronous multiplayer before, but playing a game with other people across long distances in real time just felt like magic back then. I had experienced it with MUDs, but that extra layer of familiarity of an actual video game really changed things.

Can you start showing some gameplay or you test out the features of all the accessories, it would be so awesome

That’s why Nintendo hasn’t released game cube switch online because it would only improve the quality of online play, and people would probably still play on the dolphin emulator for widescreen support. (assuming Nintendo doesn’t do that themselves).

Did you know the gamecube's memory card is a resized standard SD card?
that is how hackers were able to dump the games in the beginning.
Just solder a standard SD card adapter in place of the memory card. It's all say a handy way to back up your saves permanently to your computer or upload them to a cloud.

Cool! Imagine playing any other games online, like Rogue Squadron 3, and Super Smash Bros Melee. I know we can do that now, but imagine doing it back in the early 2000s!
