This seems like so much fun. It'd be great to get two-player classic gaming going one last time at one of these. So many of the titles just aren't the same solo.
I would love to be able to visit this place. All those great looking tellies. That old arcade shooting gallery looking area for the lightgun setups, excellent touch. Those game holders look decent too, would quite like one of those wooden based ones for my loose 2600 games. And being outdoors too, very nice. Bet at night it looks nice with those big garden candles around the lawn, I'd like to spend the evening there with few beers
How exciting. I love it. Bringing people together through gaming. Vintage computing doesn’t get enough respect unfortunately. No vendors and just the one sponsor which is rare. Not everything has to be about money. Glad to see that.
that TI-99/4a was my first ever computer/gaming system, so many great memories. we even had the speech synthesizer, which seemed so far ahead of it's time. that's a tough system to emulate, and it's just not the same on (one of the few) emulators available.
@@MrNightshade2010 I remember it came with a giant manual, and a big book full of BASIC code so that you could program your own games into that B.A.S.I.C. operating system, some games would have hundreds of lines of code, and if you mess anything up, the game wouldn't work. If you were lucky, you could get an added cassette tape recorder to save your data.
Oh my god it was you on facebook! We both picked up osbornes practically the same timeframe lol. I saw your name and pic in the group (that we both joined within like... a week of each other) was like "Huh..weird, looks just like John Hancock, but what would the odds of that?" Also, man this wouldve been so cool to go to and experience.!
@@64bitsorless25 Seems like an acceptable quota. Great event from what one can see in this video, chapeau for allowing so many people to come in touch with great old hardware! 👍
So no 6th Gen?!? Which is almost my Favorite! Don't get me wrong I grew up on Atari 2600 and Intellivision ( Also my friend's Colecovision down the street! 🙄), I also Love Genesis and Super Nintendo! I just Love 6th Gen More!
Wow! What a great advent to have! I have never heard of something like this before! Good video! Really nice!
This definitely looks awesome! Would love to go to something like that in Chicagoland. 🍻
What a great-looking event. Love to see all the people showing up to dive into the nostalgia. Thanks, for the video, John.
You are most welcome. Thank you for all the support and comments!
I feel for those that had to move around all those big CRT TVs!
*I think my back just went out thinking about it!
Yeah, it's pretty rough. Those Trinitrons are heavy! We do use carts as much as possible.
Sounds like fun. Glad your able to get out and about and I wish I could go to things like this. Thanks for sharing. 🔥
I would love to go to something like this but I live in NYC so no luck, but thanks for the video it looked like fun
The "building" looks like it came right from Kung fu master arcade.
Cool. This gave me a warm happy feeling. Thanks for sharing.

Now this is totally awesome
Wow John that looks like so much fun mate. Thanks for bringing us all along really appreciate it. Cheers.
That's a very cool event! I would really like to attend something like that. Odyssey 2 and everything! WOW
Definitely couldn’t do that here. That stuff would melt (Florida).
There's something similar to this in SoCal called SC3. Been doing backyard video game parties since 2006.
Awesome! #outdoorcrtgaming
Wow never really seen an outdoor gaming expo before.
Always wanted to see this outdoor gaming event !!
I've always wanted to drive up US 101 and see the Oregon coast. 64 Bits or Less Gaming Festival would be a great cherry on top for such a trip.
Always have to give props when I see Odyssey 2 being played!
I wish we had something like that over here (NL).
It looks so nice and relaxed.
Thanks for sharing this John!
My pleasure!
What a great event! Had no idea Ghouls ‘n Ghosts was on the Master System. That’s awesome you beat it.
This event looked awesome. Love the outdoor vibe
It was!
What a blast, thanks John!
hoping the glare was not super annoying in person, but I dig the concept!
I would love to be able to visit this place.

Wow that looks fun! I wish they had something like this in the Midwest

Ok that looks so cool, yeah I would love to go to some thing like that, sitting out side playing turbo grafx 16 , sounds awesome 😎
That place looks awesome for friends to go there & have a great time.
This is really nice to see. Thanks for posting about this John. ❤
My pleasure!
nunca he acabado el ghouls and ghost ....y tambien tengo ese juego y la consola, tendre que intentarlo.. buen video
Corvallis is a great little town. My parents used to take me to Benton county fair every year
This guy seems like the coolest guy :)
That looked like it was a really good time.
I had lots of fun and actually got to sit down and beat a game.
@@johnhancockretro That's awesome and damn super hard game too. Congrats.
This looks like it was a lot of fun. Wish we could do this kind of thing in Texas, but it's like 120 degrees down here coast to coast...

can't do that here in Houston. It's 107 degrees outside today! It looks like a really cool event!
Cool outdoor event! 👾
J'aime beaucoup ... merci ^_^
That is very cool and inspiring to do this kind of thing in other cities… 🤝
Bummed I missed you there! It was great. Wish I could've spent all weekend playing.
That looks awesome, I don’t know who's collections those are, but I would be worried about theft and damage.
There were a couple things damaged, but no theft! It was such an amazing crowd.

I hope you played the Oregon Trail there.
I focused on other games, but have the original on a Apple II at home.
Nice, looks like a lot of fun!
It is!
Wow, so many nice vintage CRTs 🤩 I would be afraid that people might break some controllers by accident 🙈
It’s a calculation and known probability when putting on a event like this.
Risk of the business I guess..
Two light guns were broken, but we had backups!

Looks cool. But wasnt the Amiga. ZX Spectrum. Amstrad CPC. Or the Atari ST there?
Wasn’t a pc focus at the event. Some of the UK computers did not even come to the states.
@@johnhancockretro Shame to hear that. Thanks for the reply John. 👍
Definitely adding an ST next year. I would love to add a ZX Spectrum, they are very hard to track down here, hopefully some day!
@@64bitsorless25 Good luck with your search! 👍
did the coleco steering wheel ever work ? even though I had one I never found one that actually worked
The pedal, and controller shifter work on mine, alas the wheel itself does not, it was out mostly for show.
What is this venue? Some kind of park or something?
I say at 0:16 ;)
bad ass
Was there an entry fee for this event?
Yes but really reasonable. $15 in advance, $18 at the door, and kids under 5 and under are free.
