Im on my Third Genesis Now. Had a 2013 v8 when they were still Hyundai. Then got a 2018 G80 with the 5.0v8 and now own a 2022 G70 3.3T. I had the 2013 till 156k miles and traded it in for the 2018 and put 125k Miles on it before i traded it in for the G70 after 125k Miles. Both cars were vewry solid, no rattles or major mechanical issues. The G70 so far at 35k miles has been super solid. Great cars BUT the big issue with Genesis has been the dealers. I dont have standalone genesis in my area just a bunch of Hyundai dealer with Genesis Service and it just not the same. The quality of the work and service in general is not on par with any other luxury brand. Luckly for me i havent had to use them for any major issues other than replacing some cosmetic items and even thoses items i received some pushback on. Awesome cars though.

The cameras are really best suited for city driving. Hear me out. A biker or pedestrian is in a divided bike lane that you're turning into, and on an initial blind spot check you didn't observe anyone, but this biker is on an e-bike and they are zooming, and as you start turning you finally start to see the glimpse of a helmet in the camera so you slam the brakes. The camera system has just successfully prevented a collision with a biker now as you turn into a parking lot or highway entrance.

As an owner of a 2023 GV80 Prestige, I always felt that it ‘felt’ heavy & a bit lethargic off a red light. Did you feel that? Something to do with the throttle tuning in 1 & second gears. Once it rolling, then it will just fly. But from a standstill, it always felt slow to start. Wish it had an electric motor hybrid to help with the initial startup torque.
Also wish it had bigger bottle holders on the doors and wireless carplay.
Having said that, the interior and exterior is such a timeless design! I just couldn’t bring myself to consider any other vehicle once I sat in the GV80. Everything else felt lower grade. And the Germans / Swedish spooked me with their reliability concerns long term.

The problem with the Hundai turbo V6 is that it gets about as good of gas mileage, in the real world, as the BMW twin turbo V8 -- which is to say, deplorable.

This car doesn't cost 82 grand.
Maybe if it would be 20 grand less.

The quilted seats are supposed to look premium but it ends up looking real cheap. Japanese and Germans know how to do interiors. Koreans are still in training.

Yep but for $300 you can put one under the rear cover. There’s a spot for it. Should be there already!!

Too small for third row IMO. Spot for a spare which I got from EZ Spare for a few hundred bucks under rear floor

It’s a shame you live in such an automotive wasteland. Hard to get all the cars that anybody cares about. I.e. everything not s garbage motors or frod.
These GV’s are gorgeous. See em all over the place and I am envious.
