    Wow, that is nuts! I wondered if it was filmed on foot or a bike at the start, but after seeing you navigating through areas a bike wouldn’t go I figured it was on foot. But actually seeing it at the end was a real wow moment. Impressive running too, considering you have to keep tracking the bike with the osmo. Nice work man, DJI should use this for promo footage.

    You should get some royalties from dji because you sure sold the osmo and z-axis to me!

    I found and watched this because I was looking for Z-axis reviews and samples and I would of NEVER of guessed you were running until I was reading the comments and I'm like WHAT? I quit right before the end of the video that shows that the first time. Watched your sample , and was like WHAT? That's crazy, rewatched the main footage and was still blown away. I'm for sure ordering that at the same time as the Osmo+ (do you have the Osmo+ or the regular one?) Use it for anything else? vLogging/selfie stuff? Great work .... (you should update the title and put WHILE Running at the end, that's the killer part about this video)

      thank you for the awesome review. I was filming with the X3 Camera from my Inspire1. I only use the Z-axis for Shots where i want perfectly smooth footage.

    What is thte FONT you used for the title? Clean and simple.

    • @tobiasrothlin576
      @tobiasrothlin576  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used Final Cut Pro to Edit the Film. It is the "Basic Titel" in Final Cut with the Style set as "2D Styles Minimal".

    Very impressive footage! They way you cut between the trees was fantastic. Are you using custom gimbal settings on the Osmo or just the default ones

    • @tobiasrothlin576
      @tobiasrothlin576  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the fist shots I used the default Gimbal settings. For the shots where we move though the trees I used the fast settings on the Osmo. It made it easier to keep the Bike in frame.

    Was someone else controlling the camera while the rider on the bike controlled the bike? It's great work.

    • @tobiasrothlin576
      @tobiasrothlin576  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was running behind him and just controlled the gimbal by hand...It worked good, I had the gimbal setting on "fast" so it would follow my hands movement immediately and with the wide angle Lens he was most of the time in the shot.

    Awesome footage. Been looking for a true z axis review for runners and this is it! Two questions
    1- I notice you used the handle in the horizontal mode, have you found you get more stability or makes it more comfortable that way?
    2- approximately how was were you running there. I tend to bomb down some trails when shooting and it looks like you were cruising pretty fast.
    Cheers!

    • @tobiasrothlin576
      @tobiasrothlin576  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry it took so long to comment... For me it was just more comfortable holding the Gimbal this way also I had a better feeling for where the Camera was during the run (in Height I mean). The Location for the rum was not too steep. I was running as fast as I could and I could barely keep up with him so any steeper would be too steep. Maybe if you could mount it on a Bike you could drive even faster...

    wow this looks amazing! one question: how are you able to use that music? did you get permission ? Just trying to understand a bit about making youtube videos , because I want to start

    • @tobiasrothlin576
      @tobiasrothlin576  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just made de Film with this Music and added at the end of the Clip the "Tags" for the Music. I also add the "Tags" of the Music in the Comments.
      But if you use not "self made Music" youtube can show adds at the start of your Film... If you are on TH-cam under "MyVideos" you will find the terms under which you can use the music. If you are looking for music, TH-cam has a own Music library in which you can look for music and the trems of use are also listed. If you make a Gopro Film you can get the music also from the Gopro Website.

      Yes I was running. At the end of the Clip I've added a comparison between the first shot with the OSMO and a Gopro with I had mounted on my chest.(2:31)

    • @tobiasrothlin576

      No I haven't. The Video is right from the Osmo.

    • @Valentineismynameorisit
      @Valentineismynameorisit 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's crazy how you are able to run on uneven ground with the Osmo and still get such perfect stabilization without having to do anything in post.

  • @MrFranky70
    @MrFranky70 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi, did you also mount this on the mountainbike? With the z-axis i mean.

    • @tobiasrothlin576
      @tobiasrothlin576  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I made everything handheld. The First two shots were made with an inspire1 and the rest with the Osmo and the Z-Axis, on the Osmo I had a X3 Camera.
      If you mount it on the bike it is mutch harder to keep the subject in the Shot. If you make it handheld you can make the shot the way you want und also get though mutch tighter areas (trees).

    • @JarrettHolmes
      @JarrettHolmes 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      But how did you follow him so well and hold it by hand as it looks like you are riding a bike with him?

    • @tobiasrothlin576
      @tobiasrothlin576  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had the Camera in one hand and just pointed it on what I wanted to film. I was running for all the shots made with the Osmo. If you have the Camera mounted on the bike it probably is much harder to keep the Subject in the shot.

    • @JarrettHolmes

    war am überlegen mir auch ein DJI Osmo X3 zuzulegen aber die Qualität ist ja dermaßen schlecht...alles sehr verwaschen. kein detail in den bäumen und boden usw. Die Stabilisierung ist natürlich toll. Heißt es wohl sparen auf die X5R.

    • @tobiasrothlin576
      @tobiasrothlin576  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Die X3 Kamera ist gut leider hat sie grosse schwierigen beim filmen im dunkeln (Es war Abend als wir den Film gemacht haben). Dies liegt am kleinen Sensor jedoch sind die Aufnahmen während des Tags tip top.

    Wo ist da eine schwirigkeit das ist ja nichteinmal ein vernüpftiger trail. Flachland😂
    und zudem lassen die Fahrkünste des Fahrers zu Wünschen übrig.
    Film not bad

    • @tobiasrothlin576
      @tobiasrothlin576  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Wir haben diesen kurzen Film nur zum testen der Z-Achsen Stabilisierung der Osmo gemacht. Wäre das Gelände viel steiler hätte ich ihm nicht nachrennen können. Daher haben wir ein eher flacheres Gelände gewählt...
