    I just found your channel and I have to say that your production quality is top-notch and extremely underrated. Most of these "minimalist" channels centered on EDC and cool tech are bland and lack personality. Your channel really stands out and the products you showcase seem a lot more practical than everyone else's "clean" looking EDC. Great job!

    Orbit key also have one quick attachment system as the Alpaka one, since u used the orbit key u might consider it!

    • @Keifro
      @Keifro  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I thought about getting the orbitkey but I think my keys will hang really low. I'm quite short and I still prefer the Alpaka because the clip is on the belt and sits higher than the Orbitkey at the belt loop :)

    A refreshing everyday carry. Im in the market for a new phone. But I'm rocking the SOG PowerPint for my multitool and a similar flashlight. My wallet is a card wallet with minimal storage for coins but very high quality. I have loads of other tech maybe one day ill get around to making a video too. Great content. Earned a subscriber

      @@Keifro It's great the pliers are the biggest in their size class, and it has all the tools you need. My favourite small multitool after the Gerber dime which I lost so this being slightly bigger should help me keep my eye on it. It also has the trick up its sleeve of having a bit holder at the top with could be handy

    i've been rocking the wf1000xm3 all these years, defs need the upgrade. Xm4s do fix a lot of my issues (massive case, wobbly fit during running, lack of multiple device connections) but we're so close to xm5s it's worth waiting. The xm5s should be running the new bluetooth codec which makes them VASTLY more power efficient. Should also allow for more devices to connect at once, and better quality phonecalls which is something xm4s (and all other BL earbuds without the new codec) struggle with.
    another big reason to wait is because xm5s will last you longer than xm4s. Currently all BL earbuds, even the xm4s, receive ALL the data from ur phone via the right earbud. The right earbud then sends the data to the left. What this means is the righty does most the work, so its battery degrades much faster. Really only noticeable if you use the same pair for 3-4 yrs like me. My righty barely lasts 30mins now, whereas the lefty can go for 90min. It's so annoying on the train when i have to take one earbud out to charge it, defeats the purpose of buying noise cancelling. New bluetooth codec is efficient enough for data to send to both buds evenly, which means righty's battery wont degrade as much. Xm5s would last way longer.
    xm5s will be much more expensive tho, and sound quality can't really jump that much higher than the xm4s. I could be wrong here so worth waiting for the reviews to see if there's any improvement there.

      Wow, I appreciate you sharing your in-depth thoughts on the Sony earbuds! I had no idea about the right earbud receiving all the data and draining the battery. I'm going to follow your advice to wait and see if the xm5s have any new improvements. In the meantime, I might start saving for them haha

    Do you enjoy the alpaka stealth belt? Any complaints? Was looking to get one

    • @Keifro
      @Keifro  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've been using it for over a year and I love it! I've run into one issue once in a while with the stealth belt. The rounded corners on the extra material with the X stitching can sometimes get caught on my belt loops. Besides that minor issue, I've enjoyed using it :)

    I would be interested to know why you need a flashlight when you have your phone's flashlight. I know, it's brighter, of course, but do you need that? I'm just curious. :D
    Nice Video btw :)

    • @Keifro
      @Keifro  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! That's a good question. There are a few reasons. I have a medium-sized backyard and there is quite a few creepy crawlies at night. It's always handy to have a light that reaches the entire back and I can see what animal is making noises and whether it's a possum or my neighbour's cat haha. Another reason would be my smartphone. My phone is old and the battery life drains pretty quickly. I try not to drain the battery too quickly and a separate flashlight works better for me :)

    Happy Monday Mr. Keifro. You don't carry a pocket knife for legal reasons? Where do you live? North Korea, PR China/Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand, Canada?(5 authoritarian regimes) Even forlorn Albion (England where I was born) allows you to carry a slip joint pocket knife with a blade under 3". My commiserations to you, I live in a free country (Israel) and can carry any knife I like of any size & locking mechanism as well as a licensed pistol for self-defence. Apart from the lack of at least a small Swiss Army Knife, all the rest of your EDC are good sensible choices for a grown man. Wishing you & family a happy, healthy & prosperous new year.

      Thanks for the comment! I'm from Australia and the knife laws here are strict and a bit ambiguous. I have carried a SAK in my EDC in the past but I haven't had a use for it. I usually keep it in my emergency toolkit and it's within arms reach :)
