- WOW - This large sloped garden feels like your own private park land! After its garden makeover, this large bush block property NOW includes a renovated wetland / dam / pond restoration (filled with native Australian water plants), rolling green lawn beneath towering gums, a cozy fire pit space and lots of Australian native plants. Even if you don't have a large space to work with this garden is full of garden design ideas, garden tips and inspiration - especially if you're looking for ideas on how to manage a large garden with a low gully or boggy spot.
Designed and construction by Liam Riley and the crew from ID Landscaping this garden design and creation was done in stages, with the oldest areas being planted out 5 years ago. The garden design includes aggregate pathways that connect the various spaces and outdoor rooms. And the plant choice is mostly Australian natives, including some locally indigenous plants. Australian native water plants and bog tolerant plants have been chosen to grow on the sides of the dam and in it's shallows. These help retain the soil and provide habitat for native wildlife including frogs.
Located in Park Orchards this Australian native garden design has no front fences, so it embraces the native bush surrounds. A large section of the garden has been dedicated to native bush regeneration and with the removal of many weeds including blackberry and Pittosporum undulatum.

Loved the drone footage to put it all into perspective The dam is especially lovely
Thanks Sue 🥰 I love how the drone helps people really feel they know where they are in the garden. Isn’t the dam just a beautiful spot!!
Happy I found this channel. Love the filming and discovering more about Australian natives and using ideas from other people's gardens that I can incorporate into my own.
Thanks so much for watching 🥰 I’m so thrilled to hear you’re enjoying my videos!
Fabulous Chloe, beautiful garden. Great cinematography!
Thanks so much! Hubby will be very please you like his cinematography 🎥🤩
Would have cost a fortune, out of reach from the everyday worker ( and too much grass)
Yes absolutely not a cheap garden. But that's what's so great about gardens and gardening - you do you :-) And even though the size of this garden is out of reach for many - it still includes many small take away tips and tricks that can be applied to any sized garden. If you've got a smaller space check out some of my other videos - I've got many that are small gardens and/or DIY gardens.
Love the space for the fire pit, that’d be perfect right now!
Wouldn’t it be nice!

So glad you loved it 🥰 thanks for your comment
What a magnificent property, the owners must’ve spent a fortune, but what an investment!
Stunning isn't it! I love how they did it in stages - which probably helped spread the big bill out! But it's been such a worthwhile project. What a space :-)
