Rockstar Games have confirmed that Trelawny is not the Strange Man. But, Arthur mentions in his journal, prior to the ferry robbery in Blackwater, that he saw a stranger that looks like Trelawny, even though he hadn't seen him for months.
I dont think a second rat existed. If it was Abigail (speculated) When Sadie was tied up and so was Abigail in the final mission Abigail could've easily shot Arthur if she wanted too. And she wanted to see john again and she knew without Arthur and a Probably Dead or imprisoned Sadie she wouldn't be able to find him probably leading to her arrest and Milton wouldn't of Tried to Put her on trial for murder in Saint Denis. Plus Milton was just doing his job so he had no reason to try and go against the Pinkertons. It wouldn't of benefited him anyway.
dont hate micah but ive been subscribed. He's one of the best characters (not personality wise, he's a jerk, but one of the best gunslingers and one of the best developed characters)
I can’t imagine that Abigail would snitch on a gang which includes her romantic partner (John) and her child (Jack). I don’t think she’d snitch on the gang which helped her get her son. The same gang that threw a party for Jack, and tried to help educate him (namely Hosea). Abigail was definitely argumentative and distrusting of certain aspects, but I don’t think she’d snitch I agree with the rest of what you said, though

She wants to get out of the criminal life, and then she decides that "fuck the gang, I'm just going to save my family" and then she goes to the pinkertons, tells them to not kill John or hurt Jack or her, and then at the end she realizes that Milton wasn't going to keep his promises so she kills him.
If Arthur never got TB Micah was getting his jaw spun, I was playing the mission where you save Tilly Jackson, I punched that dude to knock him out, an he died, imagine a fully healthy Arthur throwing that right hook across Micah's jaw, DEAD

I personally wish Micah wasn't the way he is as a character. He should have been a good person and good friend to Arthur, that would have made the betrayal much more heartbreaking, having someone you once considering a great friend turning out to be the person begging for your downfall. With Micah being the way he is, the second I heard there was a rat I immediately knew who it was, yet Arthur and everyone else acts oblivious. He was constantly escalating tensions to make the Van Der Line gang get weakened, such as making the rivalry between the Van Der Line and O'Driscoll gangs turn into a full blown war (it isn't directly mentioned, but it was probably Micah who told the O'Driscolls that Arthur was on the cliff), and him trying to manipulate Dutch into going back to Blackwater to get the money which would either lead to his death or arrest.
Well funny thing you mentioned that. When I first played RDR2, it was years after it was launched, I tried my hardest to avoid spoilers, and in my effort to avoid spoilers, I mistook something for a spoiler when it was not. I read someone’s comment and as soon as it started to appear as a. Spoiler, I stopped reading it and carried on with my life, but the comment that I don’t remember now, made me believe that Lenny was going to kill Arthur, and the whole story, I believe it. It broke my heart every time I saw Lenny or did a mission with him. I believed that he probably will have to kill Arthur because he won’t have any choice unlike Franklin in GTA V. But then when Lenny died, I was absolutely SHOCKED! I thought that maybe the game has different endings so some of my choices might have gotten lenny killed, so then onwards, I played very carefully, Mydecisions we put more thoughts into, My run became an absolute ideal, high honour run! And when I finished the main story line! I went on a fact checking spree! And it I laughed at myself so much for mistaking a lot of stuff but in the end, it made my game play so memorable and enjoyable!
@AnubisTheSonOfRa That actually sounds like it'd make a playthrough a lot more memorable, believing that a good fried was going to kill you but then they die, making you believe your choices have major consequences and choosing each choice very carefully afterwards.

Arthur is physically stronger than Micah, Arthur was the best shot in the gang at the time besides Micah and Micah does not have “better tactics” like that’s even a thing 😂 Micah is a snake, he’s a rat. He could barely hold his own against a dying Arthur and died to John who wasn’t even in his prime yet.
