A Summer NIMT Adventure

With 222 always having been on my chase wishlist, I spent a Thursday and a Friday chasing NIMT freights including trains 222, 390 and 225. Thursday evening presented some unusual cloud formations but I was luckily able to escape the rain and I woke up early on Friday morning to get 390 and 391 the two Tauranga freights on the Raurimu Spiral.

@@tommymortimer Ok, I see a lot of clips filmed from that spot so do people ask for permission to access or do they run the gauntlet? Is there a gate? I'd love to go there, the bush would be a great stealth camping spot for a train nut.
