Thanks to all the Kiwirail drivers who assisted with this video.
A quite fantastic video production. World class.
Very beautiful ... drone gives a completely different perspective indeed 👌👍
Awesome and great music.
Beautiful video.
Good selection of clips. Thanks Geoff. We drove over the rail/road bridge at Inangahua, but no trains around (23 December 2023).
Excellent! And an inspiration for my drone flying - but we don't have that stunning scenery in Oz.
Didn't know New Zealand was so picturesk only seen when on a Train Brilliant video Geoff
Great video Geoff, excellent choice of music, well done.
Thanks for the compliments mate
Great footage
Superb production in all respects. Used to live in NZ being based in the capital city of Wellington and travel extensively on business in many parts of NEW ZELAND. Recognize many views including the coastal areas around Kaikoura and along the coastal major route in the South Island. The music overlay was also enjoyable and the sound quality again was excellent. Love any train travel in any country given the opportunity !
Cheers thanks
Thanks Geoff, stunning! Looking at those foaming rivers, no wonder it’s a continual battle to keep the rail lines open.
so good mate great job
Fabulous!
Stunning video. Very enjoyable. Appreciate your work Geoff.
Cheers thanks mate, more to come ...

Absolutely fantastic great video Geoff lan Harvey Wedderburn vic
Thanks Ian
Under rated channel. Looks like the competition might have to step up their game gee....
:-)
Fantastic. Thanks.
Great footage, thanks for sharing Geoff. By god the DLs are an unphotogenic class 😂
Would be a great music video as well love it
Cheers, it just seemed to be a good fit for the subject ....
One of the only train spotters in new zealand is sharing his footage with us- tēnā koe mo to mahi!
You are welcome
Great coverage. Thanks. It would be good if Kiwi Rail engines were painted something that represented our country more such as black or green. The US black trains look great. The yellow and orange always looks filthy unfortunately. Thanks again.
0:00 I only wish DL horns sounded like that😁
haha, it was BNSF ......
Ex Queensland Rail loco action. Awesome to see.
Nice Geoff. Do you need special permission from CAA to operate the drone. I would love to be able to do that but I thought there were rules around drone operations?
Its about common sense, New Zealand's drone rules are "bizzare".... don't upset or distract anyone, ALWAYS get permission to fly in Authorization Zones and always land immediately if a helicopter or plane does approach....... etc
what bridge is at 3:23 ?
Inangahua River at Inangahua Landing, West Coast, South Island, New Zealand. :-)
Personally any canned music on videos always puts me off them. I can always see photos if I want silence. I like to hear the noise of the trains. Not someone's favourite song - no matter how well composed or how relevant etc. And watching videos with the sound off to me just doesn't cut off. As I said I may as well see a (silent) photo than spend ages watching a video (including the annoying ads at the beginning).
Stupid irritating music.

The safety of Jean and
Jayceen Miller is a matter of
public concern, and there
have been calls for an
independent inquiry into the
case. The New Zealand
Police have said that they
are committed to protecting
the Millers, and that they
have taken steps to ensure
their safety. However, some
people are not convinced
that the police are doing
enough, and they believe
that the Millers are still in
danger.
The Millers have been
subjected to a campaign of
domestic violence and
intimidation, which has
included death threats.
