  • so yeah some of the Corn was better than I expected and some of it was what I expected. let's see if we can give both sets of corn a shot in the arm and a kick in the butt and get them going

Awesome to be on that "improvement adventure not a rescue program".

My father used to say the dry years you think you are going to lose your shirt but it's the wet years that you do.

I'll just pass on what I see with Boron at the v4 pass. We were testing low at tissue for the full plant as well as soil tests in the .4ppm range. So a 5ppm on Boron at tissue test. We applied a 5% B at 1 pt per acre and after v7 and up the Boron uptake showed sufficient, ending around 12ppm. Wouldn't have thought 1 pint would do it, but it did.

It's pretty amazing how throwing a little bit on the plant creates a stimulant to go get more

Lot of ditch fertilizing this year! And river and ocean fertilizing....

Yeah. Have a video about runoff and money coming. With the flooding I was waiting to determine level of disclaimer.
Lot of dark green corn now that will be yellow very early.
I held back N feeding as long as I could and only put half out there. Still got 4 inches in one night on it...

@@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754 You worried the truth will offend??
I'm hoping the biology held most of the poultry manure in place or had turned some of the n into more stable forms. We'll see. I didn't have any runoff though or drown out spots! didn't get 4 inches in a night though either.

@ryecarlson7867 No, but when people are losing homes and businesses in an extreme year, I would be sensitive or tactful.

If only every farmer had a crystal ball to know the minute that the rain hits, how much each field gets etc etc. Farmers ain’t magicians.

@e.a.bfarms historically alfalfa responds very well.
There was a lecture about calcium. Using a high quality calcium as a fertilizer on alfalfa gave more leaves and bigger leaves.

Curious on that source product... 1 oz is diddily squat but if it works it works is the question.
That Microboost how much is that per acre for average dosage? They must have other mixes for other crops as well?

    • @jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754
      @jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

@farming4g he has a lot of customers in North Dakota. Yeah some of the jugs will say like Alfalfa corn grass and the other one would be for soybeans peas type stuff
I thought that was 1 qt per acre

      It's a stimulator.
When you foliar feed think about a 10 bushel response from a couple lbs of nutrients, clearly the amount of nutrients don't make the bushels, but they stimulate the plant to get more nutrients.
