Whenever I listened to her songs, there's always this kind of being in fantasy world feelings... anyone feels like this too? her voice really amazing T__T
I love how all the voices blast together at once, then boom they harmonize. Gives me goosbumps * o *. Really makes me want a TOS Remake with more stories like Mithos', etc. ;o
Eh, I liked Phantasia as much as anyone, but let's compare things, kay? Reasoning for the main character to beat the bad guy: Lloyd: Save people from discrimination so there is no need for sacrifices. Cless: REVENGE!!!!!!!! DHAOS DIE!!!! The so-called Ninja fight like a hollywood ninja. Real ninjas were assassins, not fighters. So neither Suzu nor Sheena fight like ninjas, because ninjas didn't fight. Summoners: Klarth wanted power. Symphonia's party thought they needed them to save the world
I liked how the anime gave more depth to Methos, I hate how "bad guys" actions in these type of games are never fully explained. I actually kinda agree with Methos, maybe not the method but honestly he was right.
Infelious Kazkari I thought the game actually did a decent job explaining Mithos' motivations for his actions o: I mean it's been a little bit since I played the game so I'm not entirely sure
Symphonia was much more fun to play for one thing. I also liked Symphonia's story more, as it went over many interesting subjects, and the story never faltered in my opinion. Also, in Symphonia they had a much better reason for gathering Summon Spirits in the first place. Also, let's not forget the whole rivalry between Kratos and Lloyd. Phantasia had nothing like that. There are many more reasons as well, but I think you get my point. Just because YOU didn't like it, Symphonia is still kickass.
@Zantillia I'm sorry to hear that. Megaupload is the only site I have an account on, but if you can give me a link to a good sharing site that functions without registration (I'm too lazy, haha), I can upload it elsewhere, too. C:
Agreed wholeheartedly, though I'll admit I appreciate some scene additions/changes in the OVA. It's been WAAYYYY too rushed though. However, I think the OVA soundtrack surpasses the game's in a number of tracks. If they replaced/combined the tracks from the OVA to the original game's soundtrack (like this song), it would be EPIC.
I disagree Highly i mean the anime captured the story and Emotion Perfectly some would argue better than the game sucha s the fight between regal and presea and at times such as how Alicia died they went more in depth than the game did i am not saying the game is bad in anyways the game is gorgeous im just saying due to the limitations they had in Gamecube THIS is what the game was suppose to be.
@WoelfinAkira Oh, you meant the screenings they'll do in Japan in September? C: But I guess that won't benefit us who don't live in Japan, so it's still November for me. x)
While that may be true, what I appreciate about the anime and manga is that they do justice to certain scenes that just plain were not that good in the game. I mean, the Presea-Regal-Alicia deal was pretty weak in the game in comparison to how it was handled in the other mediums. I only wish the Rodyle fight wasn't cut out (dammit Pronyma) so that it would be an optional Presea/Regal-based arc. Unfortunately, they couldn't do that. Although, it is much better than most other animes out there.
Oh, well, is not a bad ending theme but I feel that the song gets lost, trying to find a style and cannot find it. I hope we can hear the op theme soon ^^ Symphonia is near to its end...
Well, that's what happens when a very long game is adapted into an anime or movie. They can't honestly include everything that was included in the game. Though I do agree that they could have done better, considering the Tales of the Abyss anime.
Play any Tales of Phantasia incarnation other than SNES or GBA. See that Symphonia is nothing more than a tribute game with a few side-stories to make it interesting. The party doesn't learn to speak with Volt. The summoner, Klarth, forces it into submission. He actually summons as his sole form of magic. The ninja actually fights like a ninja instead of slapping cards around. Mizuho is HIDDEN. Symphonia isn't some amazing ground-breaking Tales game, just the first one you played.
@Zantillia That would work, too. Just PM me. And man, I know. I love this song so much, the lyrics are very beautiful and so much more impactful after the episode, like you said! My favourite still is Inori no kanata, though. Its amazing lyrics and music can't be bested easily. Since Ta ga tame no sekai seems to be the ED theme for just this one episode, I'm hoping for full version of Inori no kanata for the last ep's ending. x) Would be a perfect excuse for me to translate it. *is a fansubber*
I don't think the length has anything to do with it. Yes, it does mean that a lot funny moments and storylines were cut out. However, this anime does a superb job with the scenes it does choose to do. For example, I thought the scene when Lloyd finds out about his relation to Kratos was better in the anime. The anime has the same feel and emotion as the game. It does fall short of the game in some aspects, but it doesn't do the game itself any injustice. To me, it's ToS all over again! ;)
Best anime? Please. The game is one of the best games ever made, but this anime does not do it justice at all. The animation is beautiful, the fights are cool, and the voice actors do a great job, but when you press the 70+ hour long game into a measly 10 episodes, it's impossible to do the game justice. If only they had taken their time with this, it COULD have been one of the best anime series ever, but as it is now it is in no way as good as it's game counterpart.
I agree with you, I played this game 4-6 times. It's the best game ever made. And the anime is...fine, but is misses so much of the games story content. But I also think it's impossible to cover a story from one medium into another. If they wanted to cover the entire game into an anime...it would be 210 epsiodes ( just a guess). Just realise that you are one of the fue that is blest by this story of the game.
Richard Rahl that's why I think the best way to experience the story is to play the game first and then read the manga adaptation and/or watch the anime adaptation because then you'll know the full story due to playing the game and then you'll get to see some of the crucial scenes from the game such as "Lloyd finding out about Colette becoming sick and changing as a person due to the regeneration process" given so much more emotion. dare I say the emotional delivery that such scenes rightfully deserve 🙂
Richard Rahl but yeah it's a LOOONNNGG ass game, so to have it fully adapted with no scenes or pieces of the story cut out would be to create essentially another shounen series that runs forever and ever (figuratively) and then that might discourage some people from watching the anime, as opposed to having (I think) about 17 episodes of an ova series with episodes that are a little longer in length than your average television show episode. besides, it's called "ova" for a reason
THANK YOU!! Gawd, some part of me was worrying I was the only one that thought ToX looked horrible! And ToS2 was also a fail. Emil sucked. Lloyd's new English VA sucked. We need Scot Menville! I loved Lloyd at the end of the first game, but I hated him in ToS2. And, Kratos was only in the second game optionally. So, that needs to be fixed. *laughs* Seriously, they didn't include the most popular character in that game in the sequel...uh, I cried when I found it. I'm such a useless fangirl.
While I see your point, one of the biggest reasons love Tales of Symphonia as much as I do is the sheer magnitude of the game. If you take that away the game loses much of it's charm, at least for me. I see no reason as to not make this into a series that can do the game justice with something like 50 or 60 episodes. Sure, they did a good job considering how few episodes they were able to make, but I think that it would be a better idea to lower the budget and make the series longer instead.
Agreed. I'd even go as far to say it's a bastardization of such a great game. OVAs should be additions or tributes to the source material. When you make such horribly abridged versions, you do a disservice to the original that put so much effort into story and character development. A shame ToS will never get a full series like ToA did. Although I feel ToS is far better storywise and characterwise, the ToA anime was at least a good adaption.

THIS ANIME IS AWESOME! I like both game and show.
Janathan Aguirre same! the game and the show are both awesome!! and the show actually has really awesome music!! XD
I really like this song
I love how all the voices blast together at once, then boom they harmonize. Gives me goosbumps * o *. Really makes me want a TOS Remake with more stories like Mithos', etc. ;o
Seeing how different Tales of Symphonia is to Akatsuki no Yona, I've never imagined that Akiko Shikato would make songs for both.
The fact that it is this good despite the flaws you pointed out shows a lot about how good this freaking story is.
Akiko Shikata is always heaven in my ears. Love her songs.
The music from this anime is pure brilliance. It's very well done, there was just so much heart put into the arrangement of this whole album
actually it gave a real good amount of character development, even if it was lacking on what the game gave them..
I love this Anime and the song EPIC it's so awesome!!
(Lloyd) DON'T EVEN START SPEWING THE WORD "JUSTICE"!!!!!
I absolutely adore this song!
@Kalakauai123 Yeah. It's not that big of a stretch, really. The title song is the ending to the last volume of Umineko, so.
A truly beautiful piece!
i love this song
Shikata Akiko reminds me of KOKIA sometimes
It does give the scent of mystery to the last episodes of Tales of Symphonia. I love this ending! :D
I found it interesting she did this anime since she did the Ar Tonelico games music aswell. Considering how different the games were lol.
@2:08-2:23 HOLY SHIT THATS AMAZING
Eh, I liked Phantasia as much as anyone, but let's compare things, kay?
Reasoning for the main character to beat the bad guy:
Lloyd: Save people from discrimination so there is no need for sacrifices.
Cless: REVENGE!!!!!!!! DHAOS DIE!!!!
The so-called Ninja fight like a hollywood ninja. Real ninjas were assassins, not fighters. So neither Suzu nor Sheena fight like ninjas, because ninjas didn't fight.
Summoners:
Klarth wanted power. Symphonia's party thought they needed them to save the world
I liked how the anime gave more depth to Methos, I hate how "bad guys" actions in these type of games are never fully explained. I actually kinda agree with Methos, maybe not the method but honestly he was right.

This is AWESOME!!!!
This song omfg yes YESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always feel the same way. TwT
Parts of this kinda reminds me of Mary's theme for the game Ib..
Beautiful.
Holy crap1 I've been listening to that song on my ipod for a week and I didn't know it would be the ending! Weeeeeeird...
BEST MUSIC for A BEST ANIME!
Ahh, I want more songs like this! I've had this on repeat for over 5+hours.
@Animewover300 Didn't think anyone'd ask for one. But since you did, I added it to the description! :D
@Senli0715 Yes, it's such a beautiful song!
@kienkai That's Shikata Akiko (it says so in the description, too ;P). Her voice is beautiful, indeed!
@rewile Yessss, can't wait for November!
@Zantillia I'm sorry to hear that. Megaupload is the only site I have an account on, but if you can give me a link to a good sharing site that functions without registration (I'm too lazy, haha), I can upload it elsewhere, too. C:
wow this is great :D
@RypeltajaRoll The release is on the 23th September ^^
Agreed wholeheartedly, though I'll admit I appreciate some scene additions/changes in the OVA. It's been WAAYYYY too rushed though.
However, I think the OVA soundtrack surpasses the game's in a number of tracks. If they replaced/combined the tracks from the OVA to the original game's soundtrack (like this song), it would be EPIC.
Who is this artist ? I've heard her voice before. It's so lovely. ^_^
1 Million views :D
@RypeltajaRoll Oh yes. :) Sorry for the misunderstanding.
@Moonlightshadow4ever
exist in the manga ;) the history
maybe soon the game :B i love all tales of series
Damn, this is one sick song. It has an Ar Tonelico feel to it though.
@Romina1789 I take back what I said before. I love the ending (after listening a bit of the op song ¬¬)

I need to buy this game again. Love TOS.
Don't take him away from us... ;____;
Must find an MP3 for this song!
While that may be true, what I appreciate about the anime and manga is that they do justice to certain scenes that just plain were not that good in the game. i loved how Krato's past was handled in the manga, it was so full of emotion ...
Oh, well, is not a bad ending theme but I feel that the song gets lost, trying to find a style and cannot find it. I hope we can hear the op theme soon ^^ Symphonia is near to its end...
IIII WANTTTTTT THATT IMAGEEEE!!!!! >:O
@Tasceit Yes, I'm very happy, too! Sorry about my reply, it's in English because my Japanese is not very good yet.
Well, that's what happens when a very long game is adapted into an anime or movie. They can't honestly include everything that was included in the game. Though I do agree that they could have done better, considering the Tales of the Abyss anime.
Wait a minute... this from another souindtrack 白夢の繭~Ricordando il passato~. They added this to the ovas?

Holy fucking epic
i like it very much is so beautyful
late response here but you could have heard her if you seen Umineko no naku koro ni

THUMBS UP FOR TALES OF SYMPHONIA 3
Yup, it's the ending.
asjdfl;ksdjf it's really pretty.

Shikata Akiko, she sings themes for Ar tonelico too lol

@Moonlightshadow4ever YES!
Damn so true xp
I feel like I hear this before
@RypeltajaRoll Ah, no wonder it reminded me of Ar Tonelico :D
almost as good as almateria :D
@RypeltajaRoll Look her anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8521. Your image is the DVD, I think. ^^
Dont you have the opening song full? :3
@WoelfinAkira ova-tos.com/images/top/tos_main_110701.jpg

CopyRezo36 what are you about? the ToS anime adaptation was actually decent, they just had to make changes, that's how adaptation works :/
opinions much?
it reminds me of umineko song
It sounds a lot like the once from Umineko.
