Tartan army legend for that last auld enemy goal at the REAL Wembley
I remember seeing Don’s debut and most of his games for us. Good signing and some great memories.
Don and mike marsh, both my first signings on cm2..boys always did me proud
That's the first thing I always think of when I see Don. Slips it past the keeper....... It's in
Nice to see Don again COYI
Love Don then,Love Don now⚒️😁
Don's looling good.... good bloke
I loved Don I remember beating arsenal 1-0 away I think he scored I was Don Hutchinson for the day banging the ball against a wall on a Sunday I was only 27 at the time 😂
Yes, he did score. We undone the famous Arsenal offside trap, from a set-peice. What were the chances!
He's spot on about Ian Bishop - he was class - I grew my hair like his when I was at school - I got loads of women
Amazing player Bishop. Could you imagine him, playing alongside Paqueta and Kudus?
@@hamiltonmews he was my favourite but I'm not sure he's survive in the modern day didn't tackle enough but was so silky on the ball - I modelled my game and my hair on him
@@topsecret6995 I dunno, I think he'd actually be better protected in today's game.
@@hamiltonmews yes maybe he would likely have played abroad - Spain for example would've been perfect for him - when he signed with Morley - I went to every game - I came mainly to watch him - nowadays when I go to the game it's for the excitement to watch Paqueta - that is West Ham - players who can do things that other players can't do - play with a certain style and panache
@@topsecret6995 I always admire footballers that are comfortable with the ball and play the game at their own pace.
the hot spoon treatment was a prank in the Royal Navy back in the 90s too🤣
How hilarious for grown men 🤡
Don is v good on commentary duties, v knowledgable about European football
Always remember when Jon Moncur come on and got booked first tackle or maybe a red lol but always remember don just laughing he’s head off at it .
Loved him
Great video ⚒⚽
Deadly Don ⚒️
Met Hutch at the Chigwell football academy he signed my boy's autograph book - very nice bloke down to earth. Tony Cottee was taking a coaching session for the boys on how to finish. - he was also double nice and gave his time for free I believe..
I had a debate with Hutch years ago. In 1994 We beat Palace 1 - 0 Hutch scored a header. Afterwards when he was being interviewed by MOTD he said " West Ham are a little like Wimbledon" I swear he said it, Hutch is adamant he didnt say it. I will have to dig out my old VHS
Definitely a pint half full type of guy
He actually impressed me as a player as a kid (Don). Had a good balance of presence and ability. Read the game well, and could do both sides of the game both on the ball and defensively. As much as I love Di Canio, it sounds like someone should have stuck it on him from time to time just to reign him in occasionally. Think Harry probably let his ego get a bit out of whack.
Loved this ❤️
He scored for Everton v Liverpool when the GK took a free kick and hit the back of him The ball went into the net.. The Ref disallowed it
Very good episode guys remember Don Hutchinson playing towards the end of his career for Luton in the Championship after his West Ham career finished. Very talented midfielder.
Nah think Di canio could have good tare up defo up the hammers 😁😎💯⚽️✅️✅️
Completely gets us...the tears shed by us fans who'd been through the whole 43 years since the last cup win were like an ocean.
Even though i have no interest in west ham, your podcasts are very listenable, and enjoyable
Your team sure had alot of good players attracted to your club, and alot of them were decent quality, like don here.
Used to love the Castle!!.... Chans on a thursday.... Country club fridays.....ah brings back memories!!
Remember watching him warm up for LFC he stood on the half way line right on the touch line and smashed the ball repeatedly into goal, the impressive thing was every shot flew in without touching the ground once.
Would be good if you could insert clips of the goals you talk about into the podcast…
Good idea saves looking them up while watching
Yes
It was Bonfire night you got sent off against Leicester, pissing down of rain, you signed in the August so you must have payed 10 games by then at least! You were just lucky Moncs took a bit of a fall in the box going nowhere and Jules banged in the pen for a 1-0 win!
Read a article, and he said our good Westham was to him when he was injured can't remember it all ,no expense speared, with the medical people.
Great at Liverpool on the pitch but a right nut-bar off it.......😀 YNWA!! ✌
Iron Man
When football was great
I would love to know who hit that ball in training that hit Harry Redknapp, who he has a go at in that clip!!
My last memories of him was getting himself sent off because he probably had a hangover.
Www
He’s got such a weird pseudo accent. Can hear hints of his north east accent and his southern one… sounds more southern now
I dont see it personally coz don loyal player dont make him good him lomas Bishop loyal but average players
Good on you for calling out Di Canio. Boyhood hero but in retrospect watching as a fan in his mid 30s, it was scandalous.
Very generous verdict on Repka and James. They were awful.
Great episode.
He says that Bishop and Moncur would be 100m players nowadays which may be true but in all fairness, that's not exactly hard these days!
Literally fucking everyone is going for 100m+ these days, it's a joke!
Since Neymar moved to PSG for 200m, everyone's been wayyyyy overpriced!
Don't try tell me Moises Caicedo is worth 100m 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
He's not! Before that Neymar transfer, he might have gone for 30 or 40m at a push but as soon as they saw that PSG were willing to pay 200m for Neymar, clubs have just got cheeky and bumped everyone's price up by like 50m or sth stupid!
Money in football is a disgrace, you've got 16/17 year olds going for like 50m it's absolutely mind blowing 🤦♀️
I don't agree with the saying that money makes the world go round but it certainly DOES make football go round unfortunately 🙄🤦♀️🤦♀️
Ian Bishop would be 100m - Man City would've kept hold of him
Don Hutchinson was ok. No more than that. No need for all the exaggerating on here.
Moyes out now
Youth is wasted on the young,,,,,,
Dons lost a lot of respect from West Ham fans for his nonsense he sprouts on Twitter.
