If you have a problem with law enforcement chasing after you or becoming wanted, go into the interaction menu and you can do something called flash badge. It will make your lspdfr character pull out their badge and the cops will stop chasing you

But even then, the game has glitches where you will randomly become wanted or you make a mistake and accidentally shoot somebody or you're using legal self-defense and they still show up and start shooting at you.
