Have you ever heard of cording occurring apart from cancer or surgery?

Thanks for your question; it's an interesting one. In fairness, my expertise lies in cancer-related side effects so it's rare for me to see someone outside of this realm nowadays. I have, however, seen one person years ago who had cording in her torso that had nothing to do with cancer treatment or surgery.
There are a few case studies out there about idiopathic cording (i.e. cording of "unknown cause") so it can happen. The exercises in my video would also be helpful in these cases, but it's REALLY important to see your doctor to have other causes of cording ruled out first. Hope this helps.

I have that exact thing. I had an injury that caused mine. It is also called Mondor's disease and not many health care workers know much about it. I have basically had to figure it out for myself.

@@Kimberly-t3d yes this is the "formal/medical" name for this type idiopathic cording. The case I have seen had no known cause, falling into the category of Mondor's. I've also seen it following chemotherapy in the arm. I'm sorry to hear that you've had to self-diagnose and advocate and hope you've found some stretching/self-massage techniques to help.
