This was purely incredible. If you didn't know, Hot Wheels uses to sell motorized cars in around the 1970s. It didn't have a transceiver, just the DC motor.
A worm gear reduction would allow the motor to be elevated and centered along the chassis, and reduce the ratio since it seems to be spinning out at all times lol
Definitely had been looking into some type of worm gear setup. The wheels are plastic so it spins easily. Having rubber wheels reduce the spinning significantly.
Definitely can add suspension. I tried for one of my previous builds. The only thing is, I can only find stiff springs. I cannot find soft springs anywhere.
I was always baffled why Mattel has not been doing this with Hot Wheels scale cars for years. I know they want to stay true to the Hot Wheels brand standard cars, but just like the Hot Wheels ID line, it could have been a separate thing. I saw they are coming out with a Hot Wheels RC Tesla Cyber truck, 1/10 and 1/64 and am very curious of the 1/64 scale model's RC quality like proportional steering, battery run time, etc
Thanks for the advice. Will look into that. If I could stand the servo, that would be easier, but due to limited space, the servo has to be flat on the base plate. It sucks because I seen other builders able to make it work, but for me, I am struggling.
@@SlickDiecast well here's another one.. get a small motor about the size of a pencil eraser.its how thay made the ... Born to race 1 and 32 scale mini high speed race car it's made by extreme work RC you should look some up it might help love your cars by the way

Hey could you give me a list of ALL the parts used in this video? And maybe where to get them? I really want to learn to make my own micro rc drift car

Your steering is really not realistic and that's why you're strugling with the wheel arches, the pivot point needs to be Closer the wheel and at this scale it would be really tricky but a virtual pivot point steering allows to fit the wheel in a space just a bit longer than the diagonale of the wheel. Owesome , great job, bro
Thank you. Appreciate it very much.
Thats a great build
Thanks for watching.
I love all your Hot Wheels builds. They are great. I want to ask, additionally can you add a suspension system to this hand made rc cars?
Definitely can add suspension. I tried for one of my previous builds. The only thing is, I can only find stiff springs. I cannot find soft springs anywhere.
@@SlickDiecast thanks. Btw, I cannot find such small receiver which is cheap. Do you have a link for cheaper one?
You can search for FlySky models. I believe they make some small receiver that will work for 1/64 scale and HO scale cars.
@@SlickDiecast thank you for kind answers 😊
Springs from some nerf guns are nice
Should have put the rc stuff under the body of an r32 because this thing is understeering like crazy 😆
A very nice video. congratulations.
Thank you.
Nice i like this one.
Glad you like it
Nice video bro 😎
Thank you very much!
No problem bro 😎
im curious, have you printed the 3d parts thinner before ? also a tighter steering setup maybe
I’ve tried a lot of different designs and prints. Check out my latest videos.

Yeah, totally agree! The Cyber truck is amazing. Seen some review videos about it.
I am very interested in makeing one could you make a video with all the parts in the part list it looks like some don’t match the ones in the video
It should be all of it. I’ll have to go through the list again.
My bro.. for the steering try the mini servo clips for a drone .. try stand the servo ..and print the arm ..to fit..I'm sure that will work..

I found micro digital servos.. you should try with one of those. They use in 1/87.
I have other videos with rubber wheels. Please provide a link to the servo you found. Thanks.

All in the description.
If you make multiple ones can you run them together without them interfering with each other so I can race friends ?
Yes! Once a receiver is bound to a remote, it will only communicate with that remote so there should not be any interference between each other.
@@SlickDiecast thank you 😊
@@SlickDiecast lastly if I don't have a 3d printer to print of steering for the front wheels to allow them to turn how would you go about doing that ?
You can use plastic sheets like styrene or delrin. You can cut and super glue together to make the front steering.
Where can I get the controller/ battery/ all electronics for a build like this?
Visit my website www.slickdiecast.com
Thats cool man. Does it only turn left?
For these earlier builds, I couldn’t really get the steering mechanism to work properly. Check out my latest videos. The steering had improved a lot.
@@SlickDiecast you can try put black wire tape around the tires so it will have some grip, idk I never been in cudtom diecast stuff
I wanna be able to do this so bad ,dawg

Try to get each tool one at a time so eventually you have everything you need to work on diecasts : )
