There are some more tools that I use for the build. I will list them completely once I do an inventory of all the tools.
For some reason, I am struggling with the steering. With very limited room, I cannot place the rotating servo in a position to have a good steering. The linkage that I came up with have all failed. As you can see from the video, the car would not turn right. It was only able to turn left. The servo turns fine, it's just when I turn right, the linkage "pull" on the steering arm and it looks like it it's pulling it up. When I turn left, the linkage pushes the steering arm so that's ok. I tried to make it similar to what other builders had done, but am unable to do so. The steering will have to be redesign altogether.
I was going to wrap heat shrink around the plastic wheels, but if I had done that, I would not be able to drift and do donuts with the car. It's actually much more fun to just have the car slide everywhere. It would be ideal to only wrap the plastic wheels with heat shrink if you want more control and if you only have a small area to drive the car. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต

I think your website is broken
This was purely incredible.
If you didn't know, Hot Wheels uses to sell motorized cars in around the 1970s. It didn't have a transceiver, just the DC motor.
Should have put the rc stuff under the body of an r32 because this thing is understeering like crazy 😆
A worm gear reduction would allow the motor to be elevated and centered along the chassis, and reduce the ratio since it seems to be spinning out at all times lol
Definitely had been looking into some type of worm gear setup. The wheels are plastic so it spins easily. Having rubber wheels reduce the spinning significantly.
Thankyou do much for add in the stuff in the description This is so helpful thankyou so much!!!
Thats a great build
Thanks for watching.
A very nice video. congratulations.
Thank you.
Nice build
I'm glad you like it. 🙏
Owesome , great job, bro
Thank you. Appreciate it very much.
Nice i like this one.
Glad you like it
i love your videos! They're so cool!
Thank you very much. Please check out my other videos too.
@@SlickDiecast of course!
@@SlickDiecast ok 👌
I love all your Hot Wheels builds. They are great. I want to ask, additionally can you add a suspension system to this hand made rc cars?
Definitely can add suspension. I tried for one of my previous builds. The only thing is, I can only find stiff springs. I cannot find soft springs anywhere.
@@SlickDiecast thanks. Btw, I cannot find such small receiver which is cheap. Do you have a link for cheaper one?
You can search for FlySky models. I believe they make some small receiver that will work for 1/64 scale and HO scale cars.
@@SlickDiecast thank you for kind answers 😊
Springs from some nerf guns are nice
im curious, have you printed the 3d parts thinner before ? also a tighter steering setup maybe
I’ve tried a lot of different designs and prints. Check out my latest videos.
I was always baffled why Mattel has not been doing this with Hot Wheels scale cars for years. I know they want to stay true to the Hot Wheels brand standard cars, but just like the Hot Wheels ID line, it could have been a separate thing. I saw they are coming out with a Hot Wheels RC Tesla Cyber truck, 1/10 and 1/64 and am very curious of the 1/64 scale model's RC quality like proportional steering, battery run time, etc
Yeah, totally agree! The Cyber truck is amazing. Seen some review videos about it.
Slick build.. I wonder.. what else can we use for steering. Have you found any smaller servos? Have you tried with a rubber tire to see if you can get it to grip?
I found micro digital servos.. you should try with one of those. They use in 1/87.
I have other videos with rubber wheels. Please provide a link to the servo you found. Thanks.
Nice video bro 😎
Thank you very much!
No problem bro 😎
Mi enhorabuena por este trabajo, ¿podrías poner los archivos de la dirección también?, gracias
I wanna be able to do this so bad ,dawg
You can! I have all the parts listed under the description.
I am very interested in makeing one could you make a video with all the parts in the part list it looks like some don’t match the ones in the video
It should be all of it. I’ll have to go through the list again.
Thats cool man. Does it only turn left?
For these earlier builds, I couldn’t really get the steering mechanism to work properly. Check out my latest videos. The steering had improved a lot.
@@SlickDiecast you can try put black wire tape around the tires so it will have some grip, idk I never been in cudtom diecast stuff
My bro.. for the steering try the mini servo clips for a drone .. try stand the servo ..and print the arm ..to fit..I'm sure that will work..
Thanks for the advice. Will look into that. If I could stand the servo, that would be easier, but due to limited space, the servo has to be flat on the base plate. It sucks because I seen other builders able to make it work, but for me, I am struggling.
@@SlickDiecast well here's another one.. get a small motor about the size of a pencil eraser.its how thay made the ... Born to race 1 and 32 scale mini high speed race car it's made by extreme work RC you should look some up it might help love your cars by the way
Miguel, thank you so much for your advice. I will definitely have to look into that. Thanks again.
@@SlickDiecast here is what I found..SPEKTRUM rc 1.8 gram linear ultra micro servo.. I found it in hobby town..well hope this helps love to see more of these bad ass hot wheels come to life .lol
You are awesome! Thank you!
Hey could you give me a list of ALL the parts used in this video? And maybe where to get them? I really want to learn to make my own micro rc drift car
All in the description.
I literaly have the same one , got it like a 2 months ago
Now turn them into RC!
@@SlickDiecast maybe one day👍😁
Where can I get the controller/ battery/ all electronics for a build like this?
Visit my website www.slickdiecast.com
wont a brushless dual shaft motor be perfect for this project? it is smaller than the current motor, idk correct me if im wrong
It would be. If you know of such motor, please send me the link.
@@SlickDiecast www.ricmotor.com/details/12v-coreless-motor-dual-shaft
this is a dual shaft core-less motor but you can get a normal coreless motor and use gears, but im not seeing anyone using these motor online in rc diecast build idk if its fir a reason or they just prefer the current one
@@SlickDiecast Please let me know if it is working or you can find an alternative
It should work. I don’t see why it wouldn’t.
Wow i like it. I wanna to try but its to hard
Trust me you can do it. It’s not that hard.
If you make multiple ones can you run them together without them interfering with each other so I can race friends ?
Yes! Once a receiver is bound to a remote, it will only communicate with that remote so there should not be any interference between each other.
@@SlickDiecast thank you 😊
@@SlickDiecast lastly if I don't have a 3d printer to print of steering for the front wheels to allow them to turn how would you go about doing that ?
You can use plastic sheets like styrene or delrin. You can cut and super glue together to make the front steering.
Hello sir, big fan of making such interesting stuffs but I don't have enough parts and tools to make mini rc car so can u please sell one of those.
Thanks for watching. Sorry, I cannot sell the cars. They are no where near consumer quality. Hope you understand.
@@SlickDiecast OK
Try to get each tool one at a time so eventually you have everything you need to work on diecasts : )
I have the same one
Turn it into a RC!
Can you goe do some donuts in the baseball park?
First, I will need to build a baseball park. :)
Is the battery rechargeable?
Yes it is.
Please make a video for build tutorial mini rc cars name of tools and materials pleasee
Check my playlist. I have a step by step tutorial.
Can u tel me d electronics wt should I bought tnk u
I listed everything in the description box. Thank you.
Nesecito un de esos
Si! Gracias mi amigo.
can you please make r35 gtr version
I believe I already did a R35. Look through my old videos. You should see it.
can it work on actual hot wheels track?
It sure does!

One of my videos.
WHAT THE SHED??!!!,!!?!1!
why don't you use rubber tires
I do on other builds. This one just so happen to have the plastic wheels and I wanted the car to spin crazy out of control.
i build also hotwheels but it's a truck u cn see it in youtube 1 50 scale rc handmade
That is great!
This man's name 🤣
Try a 4x4 and try to drift it XD
Will definitely have to try. Thanks!
How much to make 2 trucks
I don’t sell the cars. Please check the description for all the parts and components to build one.
Receiver is Deltang Rx43 and transmitter is Devo 7e.
Do you sell any?
Sorry, no I don’t.
I wish i could do it .But I will not be able.
Yes you can! Follow my Step by Step build.
Do a ferrari
Will put on the list! Thanks for the suggestion.
Can i have one im a new subscriber
Your steering is really not realistic and that's why you're strugling with the wheel arches, the pivot point needs to be Closer the wheel and at this scale it would be really tricky but a virtual pivot point steering allows to fit the wheel in a space just a bit longer than the diagonale of the wheel.
Sorry for the Bad english i dont know if it makes sence
Step 1: drill the hot wheels open
Well shit...
Haha I know right
I converted my hotwheels '70 Chevy C-10 but in a simple way...just by swapping and RC chassis to the Hotwheels body and it does just what i wanted...an Hotwheel RC😂> th-cam.com/video/cDd8lOuhDv8/w-d-xo.html
That’s great! Good job!
