The music is good like this, i cant decide which one is better. but this ARTWORK THO? Fuckin love it. Purple is a nice touch and those leaves look like they're on fire, if you forgot what shape was. Fuckin love it.
It feels like exploring an empty school at night. Some eerie unfamiliarity and some calm recognition at the same time. You've been in a similar place, but where are all the kids? All the teachers?
Water drips away in sinks that were never fully closed... The ventilation humming away making an eerie symphony with every step you take... The music in the intercom slowly fading.... As the sky outside gets darker...
That's probably why I love this song and all of it's variations as much as I do. Every single version of it i've ever heard gives off intensely liminal vibes, including/especially the original songs. Take a listen if you haven't already. th-cam.com/video/5FNHqwMBXPE/w-d-xo.html
@@wrath1204 Naw man, you cracked the case. The 10% I slowed and 15% slowed by the caretaker shows that the Original "lullaby of the leaves" would have to be slowed by 25% to get the result of this video. You have good ears.
To me it sounds more sensual or “sexy” like imagine a woman in this era singing in a bar to this in that sparkly skin tight floor length dress, gloves, her hair done. It’s strangely beautiful for more drama say she’s black or something. Boom turns out she’s a killer or something like that idk throwing out something
I can get through stage 1, 2 & 3 if I'm not letting myself be empathetic towards the dementia side of things, if I just disconnect the music from the context then it becomes easy to sit through. And then stage 4 happens and I feel like I'm listening to it wrong, listening to this without thinking about the context makes it almost a pointless watch. If you listen to the full album you know that you're there to feel something, even if you don't know what that is yet. That being said there are nice tracks through stages 1-3 which deserve to be separate from the album, you can listen to those without the context just fine. So this is nice for people who want to listen without the stage 4 bombardment and everything else that comes afterwards.
1-3 stage music can genuinely sound nice. The focus on instruments makes it easy to listen to. Stage 4 hits like a truck, it feels like experimental music at that point. All of the stages are good for different reasons. Tbh all stages get me emotional.
