The worst feeling is when you get a notification/call on ur phone, its you're ________ there dead. . . You drop the phone and begin to shake and tears slowly fall down you begin to remember the time you spent with them the love and hugs. . . A colossal crash of thunder stunned me from my reminiscing. And I went back to shivering in the cold. The entrance to the room was at the top of a stone staircase, which ascended to complete darkness. water trickled down the stairs, pooling in a fast growing collection of irradiated water. The wind howled through the opening, chilling right to the bone. Of course, that is not very hard. My last meal was weeks ago. I barely had the energy to cry. I believed that humanity would ultimately survive through struggle and determination. For all I knew, after the nuclear winter hit, me and my clan were the last humans alive. Now my clan is gone and here I persist, in this dirty cellar. I once believed that if we were to fail, if the world would end, it would be in a blaze of glory. Now I envy those who went that way. The world did not end with a bang but with a whimper. Numbness spread up my body, and I shivered. We don't have many days, do we? I would have chuckled if I had the energy. No hell which awaited me after death would ever be more brutal than this.

She was sick too. Her last video was watching tv. I didnt even react when i saw the coffin. The regrets wont stop. I regret not reacting. She loved me. She took care of me when i visited her. Why did i not react is only my question for myself.
