I like that you carried extra water ammo ingredients for him so he didn't have to run back to camp to replenish. And your partner stayed at the monster's front the whole time even when he was targeted so it didn't constantly spin around to chase him, allowing you to stay in place and do yur dps. Great teamwork. 👍
Javier Mejia If you are a team of 3 with the correct strategy and armor set, you can break all parts except for the tail, and win in 1st run easily just before Safi runs away even without fortify. You and your teammates need to understand the quest and each member has to fulfill their role in the hunt, which by time, its quite easy and stable.

I have a question. Why is it showong parts broken only. If its broken in forst run it should show the parts thats been broken. If it only shows parts broken that means its already been broken on its initial run. Like on first area it shows hind leg broken in red background and in all my runs hind legs cannot be broken on 1st area if its full energy first run.
The hard part is trying to deplete its health in the first few fights, a friend and I did this with a SA and LBG, we barely got it with the skin of our teeth and killing it in 18'26;45

Charge blade is a technical weapon so it transforms/purple sword icon is from safi-jiva armor its a buff that gives huge boost to elemantal damage and increases crit hit chance (aka affinity) to player at the cost of losing hp every attack until you hit a certain number of hits on the monster (for example charge blade needs 8 hits and longsword needs 6).
Good job guys. He just a tip might help. When the skull appears safi drops bomb pods. They flinch him in the air to delay the star attack and the lbg can pelt him. Might shave a min off ur run.
BlackStar & BlackMarshal Stage1 was Safi’s Shattershield (Blast Impact phial Charge Blade) and the rest was done with Safi’s Drakshield (Dragon Elemental phial Charge Blade.)
The less energy there is, the less times Safi heals. The less times Safi heals, the faster the hunt. At full energy, Safi can heal _several_ times per level. At _zero_ energy, Safi can only heal once a level.

If you're meaning this dragon specifically then all you need to do is use the clutch claw to grapple on to it before it does it's roar after absorbing energy. Saves wasting skills on earplugs or windproof.
There’s Earplugs (a five-level skill), Windproof (also a five-level skill), and just dodging the roar. Earplugs Lv.5 will completely negate all _roar_ effects. *What you might see your fellow hunters do instead of this is use the Rocksteady Mantle, which negates all damage reactions AND has built-in Earplugs Lv.5.* Windproof Lv.5 will completely negate all _wind pressure_ effects (except against the one monster it should work on but we won’t speak of him). Safi’jiiva has both effects (roar stun and wind pressure), but different tells for each that I won’t go over because that’s too much. Roar-dodging is good for most monsters, but there are a couple that you cannot dodge through, simply because it lasts so long (Vaal Hazak, Xeno’jiiva).
tymira - horizon zero dawn light bowgun. The max upgrade version of it allows you to get this exclusive mod for the lbg where at the expend of health, you shoot fast. They were using no armor so it did a lot of dmg to them
I believe if you do a shit ton of damage to it in the first level, it doesn't get many chances to heal and just fuck off to the lower level. These guys did that by moving it towards the vine trap in level 1 and dropping the boulder on it for a lot of damage. Plus, they focused their attacks and broke just that one left limb, and then continuously attack that limb for full damage (unbroken parts takes about 30% less damage). So I think this is legit. There are vids of ppl using similar strategies to do this, only they did it with 4p and these guys did it as a duo. Most impressive.

So blast helps to break parts? I’ve been using poison and even with destroyer 3 I can barely break one leg during the hunt. And yes I am doing the monst damage since it’s always targeting me but damn the other players really suck most of the time and don’t know what the hell theyre doing. And it’s even worse trying to get into a big lobby with the error code
From what i know.. Less people means less hp scaling of the monster, meaning it’s easier to hunt with 1 experienced good geared player than 4 players that knows nothing. blast helps to deal extra damage, but keep in mind that elemental/status effect damage are effective to certain body parts, this datas are usually not shown in-game and can only be precisely gained through data mining or experiments, you can just search it on the internet though. And also don’t forget to constantly wound the parts you want to break with the clutch claw
I know im not the only one who realizes that in mhw and iceborne that a lot of the flagships have some weird word and then jiiva at the end but are really re skins of other monsters except on steroids.
