I purchased a Taurus G3 last year to add to my collection and I have had zero issues after 1,000+ rnds through it. Taurus has definitely upped it's game.
Have the taurus 856 no problems never messed with it no issues had it for about a year now love it a really good shooter really accurate a little snappy fits my hands well
Some of the older semi autos have problems but in the last 5 years or so Taurus has been solid especially at their price point. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
Taurus revolvers are amazing. I have 4 recent ones. Past 1-2 years. All calibers. Big. Small. Zero issues with any/all ammo. I trust Taurus with my life.
I’ve had one for about a year. GREAT budget pistol, nice little fishing companion or a extra pistol in the backpack. This was my first revolver, I plan to buy more quality revolvers thanks to my 856UL. I love the mechanics of loading individual rounds, closing & opening the cylinder. It just scratches a certain “old west” itch. If you see one in a shop, you won’t regret it! They shoot great too, I can group an inch at 5 yards. With my eyes, that’s as far as I want to brag on my shooting:)
I have the 2in. model and think it's fantastic and apparently so do all my friends. I went to the gun club with some buddies yesterday and I was the last one to get to shoot my own gun. Atleast they were nice enough to leave me 8 bullets from the box of 50 I brought with me. But in all seriousness it's my toss it in the pocket and go gun for late night dog walks or quick trip to the store whatever. I have 100% confidence it won't let me down if I ever need it.
Taurus revolvers are certainly trustworthy pieces. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already already. Thanks again
Like most people, taurus was not on the list of "to buy" had a model 85 steel hammerless 38sp. POS sent it back when the cylinder froze up. They did fix the revolver, but i could not trust it. Now, as an RSO, I have been able to see a few new ones, including this model. It's on my list now.
It's a new day at Taurus. I was listening to Caleb gooding on his podcast firearm industry News He had as a guest the CEO of Taurus in the USA. The strategy is to import hundreds of guns select only the best and send the rest back. My personal lock with Taurus hasn't been very good I've only had one revolver. But after it was sent back to the factory and repaired twice the trigger has been better than smooth. Just incredible work they did fixing my cylinder stop and the when the cylinder fell out. Still a great little gun to keep in the garage
@@GSquaredTactical Taurus will make right any so called quality issues, say the firearm trigger pull is too high, feeling gritty or vague. Send it in. Taurus gunsmiths will tear it down and change springs and make the revolver etc shoot how you the customer expects. I'm not talking about waiting till it breaks or it broke and I need to send it in. I'm talking about something that's bugging you about the operation of your piece. It takes about 8 weeks to get it back but No doubt Taurus is serious about customer satisfaction to a high degree.
@@GSquaredTactical As I mentioned why wait If there's any aspect of your piece that does not work with how you feel it should. Slide feels gritty. Trigger pull and reset is vague. Anything that's bothering you just send it in and get it fixed and it'll come back better than new.
Last year I purchased a Taurus 856 defender with 3 inch barrel..comes with . Titanium cerakote finish, Altamonte wood grips & Big Dot front sight with tritium glow insert.. fit and finish are excellent!! Double action pull nice and smooth crisp.. single action pull SO lite & crisp .. what a fantastic gun for four bills new
I was thinking about t getting the one that you have or this one here with the VZ grips. How does yours with the wooden grip feel in your hand. I have medium to large hands. Does the wood grip feel like it fills out your head or does it feel small?
Great review. I have an 856 UL with the 2"barrel in my carry rotation. I like it. But those Taurus grips it came with are awful in my opinion. I replaced them with wood stocks as soon as I found a set at a local gun show. At the gun show, I liked the wood stocks so much, I bought a second set... conveniently attached to a Smith & Wesson M & P snub nose pre-model 10 manufactured in 1948.
I have had two of the older M85 snub noses over the years and never really had any problems with them. One a nickel and one now I still have stainless. The big difference is its a five shot compared to the newer six shot M856. I do like the three inch barrel better than the two inch though. Taurus revolvers are modeled after Smith revolvers. The triggers are maybe not as good but still decent triggers. The stainless M85 belonged to my mother and will now belong to one of my three sisters. She really likes the trigger pull in both DA and SA. Its a lighter DA. Thanks for sharing.
I bought a Tracker with the 6.5 inch barrel for hunting and I wanted you to know that I completely agree with your observations. Taurus has come a long way and their boxes are stacking up in my closet too LOL.
Yes sir I really believe that not just saying it for the channel it’s the truth. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
Absolutely people can say what they wanna say and yes, I understand and realize that Taurus has certainly had some QC issues in the past but the last five or six years everything I have bought from them has been Golden no problems whatsoever and at the end of the day that has to be all that matters. Thanks for watching and for commenting and be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
We’ve had no issues either. Taurus has a lot of haters and for good reason as their reputation hasn’t been one of quality. However, things have really turned around in recent years. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
I have the exact one except with the Matte Black. I love it. I find myself carrying it probably more that my others. I agree with so much that you said. Great video.. thanks
Yea we love the Judge and the TX22. In fact I’ve shot skeet with the 410 in the judge. I honestly like the TX22 over the Sr22 and the P22. A blast to shoot
This is truly a gem especially at that price. Love it!! Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
I recently purchased a couple of Tarus gun and have been pleasantly surprised at how well they performed. I stayed away from Tarus for year but that company has definitely changed and their quality control now is quite good. They are budget priced but perform like guns costing 2-3 times as much. That’s great for us !
They have apparently made some changes in the pistol from the time that you made this video. I drove an hour to get that exact looking pistol, I think it looks great. The one I purchased is chambered in .357. Being all steel it actually handles the recoil extremely well. The next time I see that same model with that same look I am buying another lol. The grips are beautiful and the black cylinder and steel frame looks fantastic. Thank you for the video!
We always have and always will respond to everyone. Good, bad or indifferent you took time to support us by watching our video we can at least act like you exist
I have the 2” UL. Great little revolver. Does not compare with my S&Ws, but they are all old ones. I had the option to get an 856 or a S&W 442 when I purchased. I inspected several of each, and the 856 I bought was the best of the bunch. BOTH Taurus and S&W had some poor qc in the bunch I inspected. If the 3” was available when I purchased, I would have bought it instead.
I've had several of their revolvers, including the five shot .357 snubbie, and had nothing but good experiences with all of them. It was actually just as accurate and more comfortable to shoot, out of the box, than my wife's heavier 3 inch barreled Ruger SP101 (which she was totally enamored with).
I’ve said you a couple years now that Taurus tends to manage recoil and be more comfortable in a big way actually. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
I've owned several Taurus guns 24/7 oss 9mm never failed not once.ive owned a Taurus ,605 worked great I own 2 Taurus 65 4 inch .I use as a duty weapon.but I never bought the cheaper polymer pistols .I do own a G3C as of yesterday .It may not be a Springfield or a Glock but I bet it will work just fine.
I have yet to see one of these in person. In fact I was in Buds today and they didn't have one. But they did have a tungsten GX4 which I promptly purchased.
I bought a .38 special snub 36yrs ago shot thousands of rounds threw it and never had and still don't don't have any problems. Then about 5 yrs ago bought another .38 spec. Snub after 750 rounds the forcing cone blew and frame was cracked. Couldn't replace it till a few weeks ago.
That Taurus box surprise thing is tricky lol I had a buddy get a G3 because he liked mine but didn’t realize there was another magazine underneath in the box for a while.
I just purchased one with the tungsten ceracoat and Altamont wood grips. Hope to get to the range in the next couple of days. With ammunition price Being double that of 9mm I won't be doing much plinking, just seeing where point of impact is then using as a vehicle gun hopefully until ammo prices and availability becomes better. Also been searching for a holster but the 3 inch barrel hinders availability.
You won’t be disappointed. I’ve never holstered this gun only carried in pocket so I’m not sure about a holster. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
I remember back when I was shopping for my first handgun, around 2002 or so, people had nothing but positive comments for Taurus as a manufacturer. Then about 7 or 8 years ago, I hear nothing but negative comments like were described in this video. Now the company seems to be doing better with quality control. All of this makes me wonder if there were changes in management/ownership that account for the drop and rise in quality the company is producing. Any thoughts?
The CEO who was there during the bad QC time had a lot to do with it. The new CEO who took over late 2017 to present changed it around. Their warranty changed from 2018-2020 to 1 year then back to lifetime. Better quality over all.
I have a 3" 856UL Defender and love it. I bought my first revolver in 1977, a 6" Colt Python and have acquired many over the years and IMHO this "new" Taurus is one of the best. I do CCW with it and have over 800 rounds through it in 2 months at this point and there is a set of boot grips in the box. I installed the smaller grips and had a direct comparison to my Smith 642. The 856 has a better trigger, front sight and balance with the 3" barrel. It's a 6 shot and with the 3" barrel pointing and bullet performance is much better. All in all I believe it's a much better gun than the Smith at half the price.
@@GSquaredTactical ive had the 85 and the judge for a while now but i just got a raging hunter and im really liking it. I also shot a g3 the other day and to me it shot a little better than the glock 19x.
Most people that complain about the G3 have to find issues that arnt really there if you ask me (Trey). For civilians, at that price, you can’t beat the function. When I say that I mean that you can’t beat a budget gun that I haven’t even had one hiccup out of with over 2k rounds and a unfair torture test. Thanks for watching!
I feel about Ruger the same way you used to feel about Taurus. I bought a new Ruger LC9s and had trouble with it that Ruger would not correct. I've hated that thing since day one. I actually like my Heritage Rough Rider better than the Ruger and that's saying something. But now I'm trading my Lc9s for a Taurus 856 and I think I will be very happy with it. One reason I'm trading is because I'm old and the arthiritis and gout in my hands makes it nearly impossible for me to load a magazine of a semi auto handgun whereas I can still load a revolver with ease. Just the price of getting old.
@@JohnSmith-hm9hn i agree still haven’t got one yet but i might have to bite the bullet and grab one before this variant isn’t available no more its just something about those vz grips man
Yeah those VZ’s are on point for sure and feel awesome. A little harsh when shooting as you’ll hear at our upcoming range video with this gun but not enough to change my mind
I’ve shot my 5 shot 2 inch Taurus a lot and even with the trigger lock thing mine smoothed out a little and felt better eventually,I was gonna try find someone to do a job on it but not sure I can justify spending the same on work as I did on the gun,but it is my backup slot so maybe some day.
I’ve owned 2 Taurus revolvers, one a 9 shot 22lr and the other a 38 with a 6” barrel. The 22 is one of the most accurate handguns I’ve ever owned but I’ve had to send it back twice for warranty due to cylinder lock up. The 38 wouldn’t hit the broad side of a barn at 10 yards and after having trouble out of the trigger freezing up I sold it. I hope they’ve turned a corner bc I wouldn’t trust my life with one now
Same here with us in the pst just nothing sure of junk but you can believe they’ve came a long way in the last few years and I never thought I’d be saying that. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I’ve never owned a Tracker, but have heard nothing but good things about them. I almost bought a Tracker chamber in 17hmr but didn’t. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
@@GSquaredTactical I've found a lot of Taurus revolvers have cylinder lock up that is too tight on 2 cylinders, 2 that are too loose, and 2 that are just right.
Obviously you was just watching the video to try and find a mistake or so you could ask a wise question or make some cute sarcastic comment or something. I was obviously speaking of the issue I had had in the past with the Taurus brand in general as a whole. So that would include semi autos.
I believe with all my heart that you have folks that don’t even care about the videos or what’s being said. They will micro analyze a video trying to find 1 grammatical error or one slip of the tongue to point out so they can look like a big man posting it publicly. Well you are the only one laughing because not only did you not get what I was saying, but I never once said the words…”my revolver stovepiped.” Now the reason I believe all this is true is because if you was genuinely trying to help me correct an error you would have said…”hey you said that the gun stove piped and I think you simply misspoke because as you know revolvers don’t stovepipe. Just thought I’d let you know so you could correct this.
Oh I’m sure I kinda favor Lone Wolf spring kits have use several in the past. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
Bought the wife a defender at the end of may and to my surprise it was defective right out of the box trigger would lock up on the third or fourth pull when I using snap caps to start getting the trigger broke in Taurus did send me a new firearm but it took a little bit more than 30 days turn around time ..... Have you heard about any such problems? I myself carry a 856 2in. first generation and have never had a lick of problems
I haven’t heard of that but I personally don’t know many folks that have one. We just did a range video on this one and didn’t have any issues. But like with anything else it does happen. I had a Glock 32 that was defective believe it or not. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
Yes sir it is and shoots good too. Range vid will be up soon. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
Thanks for the vid. I've got the tungsten/vz grip version and it's a great revolver. Worth noting : If you shoot Russian steel ammo (Tula) you'll have trouble extracting those cases. I had to polish my chambers a little to fix that issue. That ammo is not rated as +P, but it shoots pretty darned hot !
I saw one at a gun shop. It was very impressive. I went ahead and bought a S&W 442 no lock, because it was a S&W, but I think the Taurus looked just as well built. Only time will tell. I bought the Smith. I'm still thinking about that 856.
There’s no question that build and metal quality would be better on a S&W, but this Taurus is very well built even down to the finish which they tend to lack on. A revolver isn’t typically something you’ll put a lot of rounds through so I’d say it would hold up just fine and it’s as beautiful in person as it is in picture. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
Ive had a lot of issues with s&w revolvers within the past 5-6 years. I had to send back several performance center guns due to lack of quality control. I had a 442 no lock performance center with a horribly uneven forcing cone. I had a 642 and the trigger would get stuck and not reset itself. I had a R8 revolver with a bent ejector rod and then they decided to replace the barrel in it for some reason and the new barrel was peened up on the crown. I had a 686 with a very crooked/canted barrel. It goes on and on. I have a hard time trusting s&w now after all those issues. However, I just bought a Taurus 856 and none of those issues are present. Im very surprised that Taurus puts out a better product than the defected s&ws I owned.
@@GSquaredTactical They did correct some of the issues but I ended up selling most of them. I kept my 586 6 in since its pretty much flawless. I am def going to be investing in more of the Taurus revolvers. I got a raging hunter in mind.
Ronald it’s been so long since I have had the box for that gun out I honestly can’t remember. This video was done over 2 years ago and I’m getting old timers lol. What does it look like maybe it’ll jog a memory
An 856 was actually my first gun, got it earlier this year as a 22nd birthday present ( I filled out all the paperwork, my dad paid for it though), I’ve put about 50 rounds through it so far and it’s a fucking blast.
First time I've seen one of your videos or your channel. I liked your no BS and very simple review, so I subscribed. I like 3" barrel revolvers. When I held the 856, the tritium was too low and couldn't be seen when aligning the sights properly. I had to raise the top of the front sight above the normal sight picture, which would raise the impact of the shot. I didn't buy the gun because of this. Please let us know what you find. Thanks
You know what that is true almost as if co-witnessing 1/4 of the sight through a reflex. However we are getting ready to put a range video up on this gun within this week and I must say pointing it naturally without canting it up or down seemed to do the trick. In fact In the tabletop I mentioned shooting it off camera and it being surprisingly accurate for me and I was able to duplicate that on camera at the range. Thanks for watching and subbing
Very good review how do you like those grips? I am stuck between getting this one or the one with the wood grips and tungsten finish Thanks again for the review.
The grips are beautiful but very painful when shooting. It’s a love hate. You can certainly get a better grip than with the wood but wood is more comfortable I’m sure. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already

I’m not usually much for fancy or wild looking firearms as far as weird colors or styles but I really like the looks of that revolver! I pretty much have ever caliber except plain old 38 special, I might have to check that out? 🤔
It’s very beautiful not just in picture but in person. Sometimes a picture makes it look better than it really does in person. Not the case here I’m continually impressed in recent years with Taurus as a whole. I keep waiting for something on them to breakdown and the finish to fail, but hasn’t been the case yet. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already!!
I love mine but . . . Keep it CLEAN . . . this is not a S&W . . . keep it clean it will serve you well. Negligence of maintenance in a daily carry can get you killed. One would not think that necessary to comment . . . but there it is.
I've got one of these & a Glock 26. I've replaced the grip with the rubber one that came with it & I LOVE it. Most won't use it as a back up, but, I do. Regardless, STAY LEGAL, STAY SAFE....
your bad luck with taurus pistols is incredible. that must have been a good many years ago before the g series and probably not the 92s either. i noticed you didn't mention issues with revolvers. i have had a couple of 85s, a 605 and a millineum g2 and all have been great.
Specifically yes this bad luck did happen a while back and all of our videos we have done on G series pistols have resulted in nothing but good findings! We really like the G series pistols and applaud Taurus for their improvements.
Can't go wrong with a Taurus these days, I bought my first PT111 millennium in 02 then the stainless 605 .357 I just recently put the vz twister grip on it and depending on what I'm wearing that day it rides comfortably in my kydex iwb holster, also have the G2, G3 and the judge
I’ve had them all at some point and they have came a long way in recent years. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
i've had a bunch of taurus products. the 740 i sold as i wanted higher capacity, but no real issues. currently have a satin 82, blued 85 ultralight, 44 tracker and a G2. zero problems. the revolvers are tac drivers (82 and 44tracker). the snubbie is ok, hits where it needs to. smith i had, failures right out of the box. go figure.
I’ve never had any failures from smith but the Taurus revolvers are very surprisingly accurate and manages recoil very well. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already already. Thanks again
I have been looking for one of these in my local stores. No luck yet. The 3 inch barrel seems like a good compromise between the two inch and the longer barrels. I would carry this pistol. Please know if I felt some bad situation was probable , I have other pistols with greater capacity . For the money , I want to try one.
They are very nice looking and with the orange front night sight you actually have a sight picture with a revolver which is rare. Not to mention we’ve put countless rounds through the gun with a single issue. I would certainly trust it. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. I think if you ate going to carry it you will need to find a custom holster or have the barrel sticking 3/4 inch out of the end. I've checked most of the major big name holster makers and find only for 2 inch barrel guns.
Taurus had earlier Union with Smith years ago as well. Fifties I think. Long history of making fine fighting revolvers. I want this gun, especially with Crims🔴n Trace Lasergrips! I want my red dots ON THAT KILLER -👤- not on my gun for me to peek through! That’s for the battlefield! Crimson Trace is best for concealed carry! That’s a VERY good second gun/weak side gun.
is the offerings on thT modal cone in a 380 or 9mm modal looking for something like that for my old lady and home defense don't like her being with out if I am not home THANK YOU IN ADCANCE
Basically the metal quality of parts and the finishing process is the biggest 2 differences. Match grade hand fitting versus mostly machine made. Longevity but honestly most people are never going to shoot it enough to matter
As a brazilian, I say it was because of Instituto do Desarmamento, an antigun law and campain that virtually killed the internal gun market. It also forbid the import of guns creating virtual monopolies around 3 companies, Taurus, Rossi and CBC. The quality punged so much that there was many accidental deaths and lawsuits. Now, following an opening of the market during Bolsonaro's gov, there was a huge leap in quality. Hope that helps!
This is a very interesting comment, and eloquently put I might add. The increase in quality and in conjunction with the Bolsonaro administration makes perfect sense.
@@randysalas3453 The grip on the LCR 3" has a built in shock absorber. Somebody should a video comparing the 2 guns. I would think the felt recoil would be about the same. The exposed metal on the back of the other grips has to really hurt with heavy loads.

I’m looking forward to getting one of these, but they never seem to be in stock at my local gun stores. I’ve seen the blued and the all stainless but the two-toned VZ grip model were not available, except the one time I did find one about 6 months ago and it was $449! The MSRP is 454.50 so it was a no go for me. I’m curious what you paid and what state you live in, so if you’re cool with saying so, please let me know. Thank you for you review.
I got lucky and found a never fired used gun. It must have been an unwanted present or a pandemic gun they decided not to keep. Used, with the wood grips and tungsten coated, I paid $299

@@GSquaredTactical Thanks for writing back. I very much want to like/have confidence in this gun. This is the exact configuration that I’ve wanted S&W to make in a revolver. Yes, I had some very bad luck with Taurus revolvers back in the 90’s and swore them off. The only thing that has me looking at them again is this Defender and whispering a of the new and improved Taurus quality. I have been seeking reports from those whom have had the gun for a while and have put several rounds down range with it. If this gun turns out to be solid I could very well see this as becoming my primary EDC ( I’ll have a 442 on me as well😉) and also my wife’s HD gun. So, is this a gun you’d trust your life or the life of a family member with? Thanks for your time and input.
I want badly to say yes because we’ve put about 200 rounds down range without even so much and a casing sticking in the cylinder, but I don’t carry it so that’s though. My past experiences with Taurus is clouding my judgment

I’ve never had to deal with customer service and I hope we don’t.

It feels good in my hands although I don't have large hands.. medium hands and long fingers..
Glenn it feels good in my (Gene) hand and I have fat sausage fingers with smaller hands lol
Thanks bud and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I have had two of the older M85 snub noses over the years and never really had any problems with them. One a nickel and one now I still have stainless. The big difference is its a five shot compared to the newer six shot M856. I do like the three inch barrel better than the two inch though. Taurus revolvers are modeled after Smith revolvers. The triggers are maybe not as good but still decent triggers. The stainless M85 belonged to my mother and will now belong to one of my three sisters. She really likes the trigger pull in both DA and SA. Its a lighter DA. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely people can say what they wanna say and yes, I understand and realize that Taurus has certainly had some QC issues in the past but the last five or six years everything I have bought from them has been Golden no problems whatsoever and at the end of the day that has to be all that matters. I have a 44mag Tracker, model 65 .357 mag and an 856. All three seem to be very solid and well built. No problems with any so far.
We’ve had no issues either. Taurus has a lot of haters and for good reason as their reputation hasn’t been one of quality. However, things have really turned around in recent years. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again

Yea we love the Judge and the TX22. In fact I’ve shot skeet with the 410 in the judge. I honestly like the TX22 over the Sr22 and the P22. A blast to shoot

I recently purchased a couple of Tarus gun and have been pleasantly surprised at how well they performed. I stayed away from Tarus for year but that company has definitely changed and their quality control now is quite good. They are budget priced but perform like guns costing 2-3 times as much. That’s great for us !
Agreed completely Barry! Thanks for watching and please sub up if you haven’t already

I have this 856. And a G2C, I'm getting used to shooting it. Mine is a 3 1/2in barrel, all black. It's fun to shoot.
It’s amazing how fun to shoot it is at that price point
Totally Agree. I've gotten pretty good at shooting it at the basic combat distances.
That’s awesome
That Taurus box surprise thing is tricky lol I had a buddy get a G3 because he liked mine but didn’t realize there was another magazine underneath in the box for a while.
Hahaha gotta check never know what you’ll find
I just purchased one with the tungsten ceracoat and Altamont wood grips. Hope to get to the range in the next couple of days. With ammunition price
Being double that of 9mm I won't be doing much plinking, just seeing where point of impact is then using as a vehicle gun hopefully until ammo prices and availability becomes better.
That’s absolutely what it was. Pinching pennies
@@GSquaredTactical Thanks for the response! I’m glad to know that my guess was on target!
The improvement happened as they got s&w old tooling and I believe old s&w management also took over.
@@matthewbeaver5026 good to know.
Thanks for the testimony and for watching. Be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
That's a nice revolver you got there. Taurus guns are just fine with me. I have a few revolvers and haven't had any issues
They have really stepped their game up on all platforms, semi autos and revolvers, in my (Trey) opinion

This is true mine works fine
I’ve owned 2 Taurus revolvers, one a 9 shot 22lr and the other a 38 with a 6” barrel. The 22 is one of the most accurate handguns I’ve ever owned but I’ve had to send it back twice for warranty due to cylinder lock up. The 38 wouldn’t hit the broad side of a barn at 10 yards and after having trouble out of the trigger freezing up I sold it. I hope they’ve turned a corner bc I wouldn’t trust my life with one now

How do you stove pipe a revolver ?

Did S&W make the issues right? We are, likewise, surprised by the Taurus brand here of late!
@@GSquaredTactical They did correct some of the issues but I ended up selling most of them. I kept my 586 6 in since its pretty much flawless. I am def going to be investing in more of the Taurus revolvers. I got a raging hunter in mind.

What's the difference between budget, cheap and quality? Does it work or not...are others just price gouging?

Yea sir thanks for watching
I looovvveee mine and I bought those grips wasn’t my cup of tea it was hard and rough on the web of the hands when I shot!
I didn’t have that issue but everyone has different hands and that’s why there’s so many different guns. That for watching
You would probably really like the Crimson Trace laser grip for this.
Yes hard on my hand too, but with gloves on I can shoot all-day long.
@@randysalas3453 The grip on the LCR 3" has a built in shock absorber. Somebody should a video comparing the 2 guns. I would think the felt recoil would be about the same. The exposed metal on the back of the other grips has to really hurt with heavy loads.
I agree
Hi. From a fellow North Carolinian. I can tell from the shirt you're wearing.
Haha yeah I own ACS Heating and Cooling Service, but you have to be real close. I serve Meck Co, Lincoln Co, Cleveland Co and surround areas. I’m based out of Gaston Co
I like that color. I was lucky to pick up the Tungsten Gray with wood handle version. It shoots great!
The better they look the more fun they are to shoot! Thanks for watching !

Eanest,..they are grips not " handles " .
Both get the point across, there is a place for technicality for sure!
Man I've had a few of,the. Tauri. Never and, issue at all. My,current carry revolver is the,856 snubbie
Good choice for carry, please sub up if you haven’t already!
Love my 2" 856! Point and shoot.
It’s a sweet gun. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
I’ve been looking for one , is is available in 357 ??
Not specifically the 856 no sir. You’d have to get the Poly 605, the 605B or 627 and/or certain tracker models. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
We are in NC and I paid $449.99

I got lucky and found a never fired used gun. It must have been an unwanted present or a pandemic gun they decided not to keep. Used, with the wood grips and tungsten coated, I paid $299
Good deal right there. Thanks for watching
How is the 856 holding up? Still have a positive opinion on it? Thanks
Very much so yes!! You sound skeptical and believe me with my past experiences with Taurus I totally get it I’m shocked as well. Thanks very watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already.
