When you said, "The wind is going absolutely crazy...", I was thinking, "Hell, yeah. Listen to it HOWL!" Then I paused the video - and the howling was just the sound of my heat pump as I enjoyed my coffee in bed. You're such a trooper, Abel.
I live vicariously through your videos. Since I turned 70 I now surrendered to state parks with full hookups in my insulated 20' camper with queen bed. Keep it up as long as you can my friend.
So many camping TH-camrs, yet this channel is "must watch" for me. Love the variety of conditions and the enjoyment you derive from being out in the most intense situations. Hope Victoria is well! Be safe!
After 10 years in the army having to ‘camp’ out in this kinda weather, now I’m 63 I still love it ! There’s no better feeling than when there’s a storm and you are nice n snug in your tent with a roaring fire , listening to the wind and rain outside. ( a hip flask of brandy for my coffee helps ) It’s the packing up in the morning I hate ! Great video 👏👏
It's the cleaning of the gear when I get home is the part I dislike. Drying everything, cleaning off the mud, making sure nothing mildews. Worth it though. Especially if you brought your fishing gear.
Great Video. I'm a Old Man From the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. I still do the same type of camping as much as I can. I love winter camping. Love this video Brother
I’m currently camping in a WW2 small walled tent made of canvas. It’s summer here in the UK but bloody wet. The rain is just mental & this tent leaks a lot! I appreciate your struggle to bring us these videos
I suspect they used to treat tents like that back in the day--waxed the canvas, or was Scotch-Gard a thing back then? I think it was. Maybe that would help?
It’s always good to test your gear and yourself in trying conditions. Being able to trust your gear and yourself is a confidence booster and takes away a lot of the stress in difficult situations
As a young teenager, how 74, used to camp in this kind of weather in old canvas, bottomless tents when in the boyscouts. Minimum equipment. I was usually firstup in mornings starting the campfire. Then we'd spend the day hiking sometimes upto 10 miles! Missita lot. Thanks Abel for taking me back to another time ! Great vid !!
Wonderful to hear about your new little girl. I'm sure when she is grown enough she will be camping with DAD and loving it too. You will need to pack more hot dogs. Best to Victoria.
That looked unpleasant & bitterly cold on the walk up. So glad you detoured to the hut to warm up. Dont put your health & safety at risk. Enjoyed the Video...cheers
Love watching these videos. Very entertaining, reminds me when I used to go bush back in the 1960s. I was younger then, now I'm knocking at the door at 70 and still going bush once or twice a year. Thanks for sharing your entertainment.
Wow, this snowstorm camping adventure is intense! The combination of heavy rain, strong winds, and snow makes it a true test of survival. Abel & Victoria’s determination and resourcefulness are inspiring. I’m amazed at how they set up their tent and tarp despite the challenging conditions. Kudos to them for braving the elements! ❄️🏕️🔥
Just a short note to let you know I so much enjoy your videos, please continue making them. I can't get out of the house much now because of my leg but I love camping especially when it is cold and snowy
Also if people knew the feeling you have when you get up in the morning and have a hot cup of coffee by the fire. It is a time you will not forget to sit and reflect

Thanks for the work you do to create great content in your videos Abel. Love watching them. Regards to Victoria.
That's the kind of wild camping I like... hellish weather, but you know that you have all you need to keep you warm and dry. I do like nice sunny weather, but a night like that with shelter, a fire and good food is great fun. Out in the wild with just the basics... do it right and you'll be fine.
Abel thanks for another great video I love r he enjoyment you get b out of camping I would love to be doing this it looks like fun and peaceful thank you for sharing love the sound of the snow hitting the tent until the next time friend stay safe out there
I love these winter videos when it's SUMMERTIME in Arizona! Crank up the cooler and a fan, turn out the lights and imagine wearing some warm, waterproof gear, like Abel has on, in a sleet/snow storm.

I love the coziness of being in a GOOD tent, properly staked down and guyed out during a storm. (But please don't make the rein last more than overnight.)

Incredible resilience! Camping in a snowstorm is no easy feat, but you made it look manageable. The transition from snow to heavy rain added an intense challenge, yet your shelter held up impressively. Your determination and skill in such harsh conditions are truly inspiring!

Abel, I HAVE to tell you, about the BIC lighters, throw them away and buy one of those ones that are like a mini torch. They can be used even when it’s windy and don’t require a flint to work. They are usually refillable as well. I had two BIC lighters in my camping gear and I don’t know what happened but they had seized up and the wheel wouldn’t turn.
