You could, I have some vegan cheese recipes in my cheese playlist, that will give you a better idea as to the amount, but my guess is that 2 Tbsp of agar agar might be enough here.
Hello. Cashews are there to give it some natural fat and creaminess, you could replace it with soaked sunflower seeds or some coconut cream instead. You could add some starches to thicken it up, but you would need to heat it up for that.
Do you have a non smoked recipe for cheese? Your videos are great but you have a strong accent and the sound is not clear. It would be good to add some basic subtitles.

I used your recipe without the cashews, thickener and water and made a delicious cheese sauce, thanks

Здравствуйте и добро пожаловать! 🙂
thanks
You're very welcome.
That sounds awesome. Do you know if I could substitute the cornstarch /arrowroot component with agar and how much or the same amount?

@@HealthOrigins thank you so much and also for your very fast reply. ☺️💯
@CloudyDoff you are very welcome! 🙂
I’d love to try your recipe but I don’t use salt. Would you recommend adding a little more miso for the saltiness?
0904 Amazing, no oil. I've been looking for cheese without oil. I can't wait to try this recipe. Thank you.
Hello Ms. Inga,
Could potato starch and corn flour be substituted for the cashews?
Hello. Cashews are there to give it some natural fat and creaminess, you could replace it with soaked sunflower seeds or some coconut cream instead. You could add some starches to thicken it up, but you would need to heat it up for that.
Does it melt?
No, this version doesn't melt.
I usually make my vegan cheeses with both soaked cashews and okara. How would tofu be different than okara in the recipe?
It's probably a bit more spongy and less grainy than with okara, but it's great either way.
Do you have a non smoked recipe for cheese? Your videos are great but you have a strong accent and the sound is not clear. It would be good to add some basic subtitles.
Just omit the smoked paprika, use regular Tofu and don't add liquid smoke. You can turn on TH-cam subtitles for all of my videos.
@@HealthOrigins thank you!
@Michal-ke6lu you are very welcome 🙂
Can we do it without Tofu?
You could use a boiled potato instead.
Looks awful! 🤢
