My academy date is scheduled for April 3rd and all I have left is my Psych eval this month and for every task/exam that has been given to me in order to progress, I was like damn I have no idea what to expect. So I go online and look for advice and knowledge to move forward but damn bro if every video I watched about each step was by you, I would’ve been 100% more confident in the process. You hit it spot on and this is definitely the realest video I’ve seen during this process and with that, much appreciated for the knowledge and wish me luck on this last step 💪🏼🤙🏼
I passed my polygraph two weeks ago and had a sheriff background investigator asking my neighbor questions about me. Next will be doing my pysc and drug test. Keep u update fam

I’ve been putting in apps all over South Jersey including Atlantic City. Hopefully one department can hire me, but the psych eval was my biggest worry during the hiring process because I can’t really find any information on how to prepare for it or what it usually entails. My psych eval lasted 4 and a 1/2 hours. It was crazy. The MMPI was 500 questions. Then you had to do a logic test, then talk to psychiatrist. It was annoying. But I think I passed it. I got the job.
@@yifatshoham3663 I got the results right after the psych eval. Basically, just answer the questions consistently. I would recommend paying to take a MMPI on my own just to know what to expect. Also make sure you get sleep and eat a good breakfast before you go to take the psych evaluation.
Luckily I did all the personality testing online at home with a proctor. I completed the PT AKA the BAT, background, oral board, poly, the frontline NTN and drug screen. Now Friday in 2 days I have the psych exam. Everything has been easy up to this point. I'm very nervous about my psych evaluation probably because it is my last obstacle.

I have to do a voice stress test Friday, and I have my psych test Tuesday. After that it’s just a pre employment drug screening which is an easy pass then off to the academy in September 2023. Wish me luck.

I have the physical for the state this upcoming Sunday and the county next Friday. Is there a difference between the two processes? I was told they don’t test for Marijuana in NJ. Also if you got accepted into both which one would you choose?
I’m not sure how the county process is I went through state but I’m sure they are similar. I believe state academy more difficult and longer. Tbh I wouldn’t even smoke even if they say they don’t test for it but that’s extra precaution. I would prob choose state . Good luck w everything

I just took the evaluation yesterday and have the psychological interview next Wednesday. I'm a little nervous but this video helped.

Does the psychiatrist ask about medical history?
