I've been having trouble with musical inspiration lately, but when you played in Spokane last Friday, I realized that dubstep isn't my thing production-wise. Every song you played totally got me going and I think I'll be making my way into house/electro now, thanks to you! These tutorials will definitely help. :D Thanks for being an awesome producer/DJ, Lucky!
Lucky Date, you're unreal, man! Sick tutorial. Love it when you take the time to show little asides like the reverb, different LFO waveforms, using the decay to make wobbles, etc. Super versatile synth. Would you ever consider making a piano tutorial? I love dub and electro that has breakdowns of moving piano chords. Only problem is that the Reason stock pianos on there own don't cut it. Looking for something more full and emotional to get that epic section before the big drop. Cheers, man!
Normally i'm lazy as fuck but just for you i logged in to say how much i love you!!! (NO homo)...I'm VERY greatfull for all of your tutorials which (with a bit of improvisation) help me figured out tons of new cool things (with the automation and pitch note change in this tutorial) and many others....im also deffo planning to buy ur refills....ill post my finished song as a reaction to ur video when im done so u can see how much good influence your tutorials have ;) Many thanks and peace mate!!
it would be nice and easier for us viewer if.. you maybe could make a link of the patch you created, so you just could download it. I really appreciate the synths and tutorial, they're great as always!
@luckydatevideos hey uh do you ever pay attention to the clipping of your songs in reason? cuz i do and i always turn down the sounds to make them not clip. but then its really quiet over all. do you pay attention to the clipping?
i know its possible to change your preferences so that every device you open is automatically initialized. i don't remember how i did it though. try and look it up.
This Video is Amazing! although i do not using reason. im a ableton live user. i have been working non stop for 2 days trying to get this sound out of Massive and Sylenth and im very close but i find my synths are not as "mean" they are more of a 8bit bleep with a low Sine wave behind them i've tried eq'ing them distorting with omhicide and boosting the threshold through compression but i can quite get this mean gritty bleep. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
i did the same thing but it sounds diffrent, is there a difference between that reason that takes half of the screen and that one that takes the full screen like yours? or can you change it? im pretty confused right now :(
When i create Thor, "Epic Poly" is the initialized patch. And with all the tricks and fix you show here it sounds horsecrap. How do i "remove" the "Epic Poly"? Awesome tutorial anyways! Anyone, heelp ^^
@shamrockman100 its called reason 6 and no its not free but if you cant afford to pay for it then search for 'reason 5' on isohunt and you can download it there for free. reason 5 is still really, really good. pretty much the same thing as 6
@2theothers2 FL is a great program, don't let others tell you otherwise.... I am a Reason user myself, but it does not (out of the box) allow as much "freedom" as other programs such as Ableton or even FL. Just make sure to get the proper plug ins of course. NI offers some of the best around. Just do some research and you won't be disappointed with FL.
@Brandflugan well your suggestion requires a legit producer to go out and buy reason just for this task.. not for everyones budget.. thats how hard it could be...
@2theothers2 i dont think so.. just get reason. you will be mad at yourself for holding yourself back with fl but it will be ok in the end because u upgraded. lol
@hurensohnadolf Leave my dude luckydate alone. Why you gotta be a hater when an artist with a record deal and who goes on tour still takes the time to make tutorials for youtube, Luckydate is my inspiration for my music making and i hope to follow in his non-copyright infringed footsteps

It is like watching a cooking show with many ingredients creating a flavorful recipe. Thanks!

luckydate , you make the best tutorials for reason . PERIOD
I listened to the intro around 6 times because that synth is fucking amazing.
Yes. Right click on your thor patch. Somewhere down it should say initzialize patch. You can apply this to every instrument, nn19, NNXT etc.

yo, luckydate. what do you think about having the key sync on on lfo1???? i love ur vids man, you've been teaching me how to make sum dope synths!!!!!
He's just automating the LFO 2 rate (in the tutorial he uses LFO 1 instead, so using the settings he shows you, modulate the LFO1 rate instead)
@ThunderPreacher your gonna wanna put that in the oven at 375 and cook it for 30-35 min or until golden brown
nice! also cant wait to see you on the x tour!
how did you get that little keyboard on your screen to make the noises? i'm super new to this.....
I love the click sound of your mouse.
Can you do a tutorial on the TommyTrash bassline? Cheers bruddy
I really want to get your patches BUT..Do you know if i could rewire them into Abelton WITH the effects and everything on the synth still working??
Would you say that this has enough low end on it's own? Or would it be better to cut off what low end it has and replace it with a separate sub bass?
@dazahall its an effect for reason 6 u dont need it its being used for the tutorial
@EnigmaVisuals right click on the device and choose "initialize patch"
great tutorial thanks!
I love how you made this using a tutorial and then made a tutorial out of it. Reported for copyright infringements.
i know its possible to change your preferences so that every device you open is automatically initialized. i don't remember how i did it though. try and look it up.

what's the difference between increasing the output on the compressor verses the limiter, why not just do one or the other?
@TheeKimchi Just grab a copy of reason if you dont have it :) But I agree, ableton tuts would be awesome.
@astricii Thank's! I'll have a mess around with it :D
@h1ding Go to window-->detatch sequencer in Reason
