  • Anyone can learn to unleash guttural growls and screams that sound like monstrous demons crawling from the abyss, sludgy pits bubbling with primal fury, or rabid bears tearing through the woods. It’s not about being born a beast-it’s about tapping into that inner ferocity and embracing the chaos. With practice, sweat, and a bit of audacity, you can master the art of vocal carnage. Let your voice become a force of nature; get loud, get pissed, and turn that primal roar into your own twisted symphony!

      @KardavoxAcademy I already know how to do that particular sound, but that's because I been really experimenting with crazy vocals for a long time. Self taught btw, I didn't think of watching videos when I got started.
      That being said, this was probably the best video I have ever seen you make. Being adhd it's hard for me to pay attention even if I'm really interested in something. Please keep doing the impersonations, it helps with the focusing.
      Much props buddy!

    Thats what i love about kardavox and Will Ramos and the other dude wih the black long hairs... You all give names to the weird stuff we all do unconsciously so that others can get a better grip of what's happening/categorize it better.
    I facepalmed immediately at the Glugg glugg goofy sound because i instinctively use it since the beginng of my journey but never could it put into words what is actually happening...

      @@ИапГоревич similar but you definitely don't want to do Corey's original voice. He himself hurt himself bad. He likely used almost exclusively his epiglotal and way too much air pressure, so he damaged the insides of his throat if I were to guess.

    My favourite super gurgly guttural is probably Tomi Joutsen. When he does it there's something about the quality of the way he produces it that makes it just so absolutely disgustingly filthy. Makes you feel unclean.

      @@KardavoxAcademy he's the guy from Amorphis! They're a bit more melodic than what you'd hear these kind of gutturals in, but maybe that just makes the moments he goes low to stand out even more!
      I hope I'm not getting my techniques mixed up 😭
      Edit: suggestions from me are Majestic Beast, Four Wise Ones, or Grain of Sand.
      I'd also check out their rerecordings from 2010 of older material, called Magic and Mayhem, before he joined as they were more pure melodeath then and he makes more frequent use of his sewer gutturals there. Especially Exile of the Sons of Uisliu

  • @Madchris8828
    @Madchris8828 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I've rewatched this video multiple times. I have serious issues with low gutterals but can do nasty black metal styled highs. Guessing most of it is probably lack of good air pressure. I just seem to fizzle out and have low power.

    I actually did have a question about growling? How do I project my growl without running out of REALLY quick? I feel like I can get a decent growl going, but I cannot hold it for more than a few seconds. In "The Forsaken Effigy" by Shadow of Intent, Ben Duerr is able to hold that first growl for like 12 seconds or something like that and I have no idea how he does it.

I'm not even sure if I have the right technique or not, but when I try and engage my false folds, it's almost like i can only get a healthy-feeling distortion if I have mucus or spit in my throat. am I correct in thinking that's not normal, and I'm doing it wrong? because it doesn't hurt, but i havent heard anyone who can scream mention that before
