- Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s minimalist slip dress she wore to marry John F. Kennedy Jr. is one of the most iconic wedding dresses in history. It was designed by the bride’s friend, Narciso Rodriguez. The simple gown continues to inspire brides to this day.

I love that dress. Minimal yet elegant.
Still feel so very sad about this couple ! How beautiful they were 🙏🏻 RIP
My favorite wedding dress of all time.
I loved her wedding look. But it’s too plain for me. And I am a minimalist!😂😂😂
Parece un camisón.
This wedding dress was directly influenced by 1930's silk satin evening dresses. They are quite revealing & only for the best figures.
She had the height & figure for it 👍
That slip wedding dress was everything!!!
This wedding dress was simple and yet elegant.
This is exactly the style that Jackie was reported as saying she would have chosen for herself, but her father-in-law micro-managed practically every aspect of that wedding, down to the dress, which she always said made her feel like she was wearing a lampshade. So glad that JFK Jr. & Caroline were able to pull this off & have the PRIVATE wedding they deserved.
My reading indicates it was JFK who wanted the poofy wedding dress she wore, although old Joe Kennedy did micro-manage the wedding, since he paid for it.
@babycakes1402 …Jackie died in 1994, by the time JFK Jr. married in 1996, she had been dead 2yrs, so it couldn’t have been Jackie saying that she would have chosen this type of dress for herself. Jackie also married JFK in 1953, dresses like this weren’t in fashion. Whyyyyy do people lie on the internet🤦🏻♀️
I really doubt that Jackie would have worn a silk slip dress to get married in a society wedding in 1953. The thought of it is laughable.
@@quietandmildoneBecause they can.
Her dress was beautiful. And also they were very pretty and elegant couple. The deserved for a happy life❤
Classic Styles .. always look good in photographs 30 and 40 years later! Don't go trendy. Even the way she dressed everyday still look fresh in photographs. Good lesson for all young women to learn ..
I remember seeing a picture book called "Legendary Brides" that featured Caroline Kennedy, Jacqueline Kennedy, Princess Diana, Grace Kelly, and many others. And I remember thinking how sad and strange it was that every bride pictured in that book was dead.
Didn't really like very much!
True. Less is more 🪽.
She was a beautiful bride 'n they were a good looking couple 💞✝️🌅☮️
Her dress and veil were awful. Why does everyone always talk about her great “style”? I don’t see any evidence of great style. Her dress looked like a nightgown and her veil would have looked much better if it had been elbow length. She is dancing with John wearing his jacket so she’s obviously cold. Didn’t she or her dress designer think about designing some sort of wrap, jacket, cape or SOMETHING for her to wear when it got chilly?
Me encanta ese vestido tan sencillo y elegante. Es mi vestido de novia favorito, llegas al altar sin mayores adornos, simplemente tú al lado de tu amor y frente a Dios.
they were such an attractive couple
The chappel was so romantic🌷
This narrator voice is annoying.
Great video!
What’s with the voice 🙄
Best dress ever for a young bride
Wow for very first time, I can see finally more photos of her wedding dress.
Lui era bellissimo lei non mi piaceva
Who?
Stunning
Carolyn was two hours late for her own wedding. Her future sister in law, Caroline, and other guests were highly irritated. She was late because could not get that ridiculous dress slipped on over her head. Seamstresses had to take it apart, get it on her, and then stitch it back up. Ridiculous. No sleek dress makes up for the rudeness of making your guests wait for you in a hot, sweaty little chapel, with no air conditioning, and no electricity. They were supposed to be married during daylight. By the time Carolyn got there, it was dark, and they had to light candles, making it even hotter. I'm sorry that she died, but she showed how classless she was on her wedding day. She was a rude person, with a huge sense of self-importance, at the expense of others.
Wow. That’s a brutal comment. 😮
@@cw5451but is tru
Seems odd that she didn't try it on before the day and learn how impossible it was to get on.
@@maryok4099 great point
Classless, would be this comment. Unnecessary. Rude.
Now this was in good taste. ❤
I never cared for her dress or her hairdo. Cheryl Wagner
I never liked this dress. It looked like they got out of bed and decided to go get married and she just left her ninightgo on. People only raved about it because of who she was marrying.
Who cares?
She had quite the derriere 1:06.
How long has she been dead?
I didn’t like it
