Thank you for this training. You are doing so well that I think I will be able to do the same. Slowly you explain the fitting of covers... thank you again
The best video I have seen. The technician went to great lengths to show details and likely pitfalls. Love it, looking forward to watching the part 2 for further dismantling in fixing my problem of the paper not pulling evenly and causing paper jam. It started out as a minor issue with jammed paper but instead of freeing it by opening the flap at the back, I pulled it out from the front side. I think it caused some mechanical damage to the mechanism.
June 2022! Yippie! today I used your video as a great beginning place to get inside my Canon MX452 printer. Mine was a tad different from the printer in your video - but you got me headed in the right direction to do my own repair. Can't thank you enough!
Man nice to share your comment! And yeah years go by soooo quickly and simulare printers 🖨 are still out there and what's even more important is the fact that there are people out there, such as yourselves that want to try and fix that printer 🖨! It's creative to fix things, we use our brains in different way. Good luck and may she print forever hehe:)!
Very clearly and patiently described. I wish I had this printer, but unfortunately I have the Canon MX300 which is still different from this and I didn't figure out how to open it. Nor did I find any information whatsoever how to do it. I would love if you could describe this!
👋 Ekkhart thank your for the compliments, I enjoy takings thing appart and if it helps others it's a great bonus. Mx300 is indeed different machine. However the basic idea 💡 is pretty much similar, as to the method of keeping the chassis together. Obviously those machines are not for repair in mind, they rather have you buy a new one 😉 But when you are stuck in finding where a part is still stuck, usually is one of those clips. Usually they have always a whole where you can put a flat screwdriver 🪛 against it so the clip is relaeased. Now the problem is that often are 2 or more of such clips near eachother and you need to unlock 🔑 them at the same time else if you start to pull some of them will break. Which btw is not always such a bad thing, most of the time it's just cosmetics and does not affect the working of such printer. Work with a good light, that way you can see the details. And Work on it when you are fresh and not tired. Often it happens that when one is tired, one breaks things. If I had one of those printer somewhere I surly make a 📹 video. But unfortunately no such printer around. But I think if you give it time you will find where it is stuck.
@@FixItAMIGO Thanks for the quick reply to me 😃, okay I'll give it another try. I'm not sure if anything is broken inside, but it's very strange: putting only black cartridge it asks for the colour one, and with both inside it says check ink black and colour. I wanted to check the plugs inside for bad contacts, but also the colour is a pirate one... 🤔. Now I don't want to buy another cartridge just to throw everything away 🙈
@@ekkehartmeyer701 yeah I know the feeling, we all have been in such a situation at some point hehe. Try resett of the machine. Then clean those Golden connections just with a soft dry cloth. It difficult to tell what's broken something cartridge breaks, sometimes those golden connectors breaks or on printer side or the cartridge.
have MG 3520 when cleaning the ink absorber pad it fell inside under the carrier thing. I can see it but not get it out. It is now white and it was very easy to clean ink - just drop in warm soapy water - instant white from black. I cannot order new part.
I had a tire valve cap stuck and the cardboard worked great to dislodge it. I was blaming the problem on it on being a cheap printer. I have no idea how the valve cap got in there but I am the only one that works on cars here....lol!
lol great story! This sounds like a start of good topic titled `What did you find in your Printer?!` If you have children running around the house this could be the reason for this valve cap mysteriously appearing in the printer heheh ))))
Super vraiment très bien. Comment nettoyer le récepteur de couleur car malgré les manipulations conseillées, le code erreur 5B02 reste toujours allumé? Merci, à bientôt
Muchas gracias, amigo! the problem of my printer is: I accidentally put a document with sticker label in the auto document feeder to make a copy , and the sticker stuck in the feeder, but I don't know how far inside the feeder. I need to disassemble the feeder to clean the sticker out. Is there a way to disassemble the feeder only, without taking the whole machine apart?
After adding paper to my letter tray, the printer was asking me for paper to be added to the "back" tray. This has never happened before since our printer does not have a "backtray". It would not start printing without it. Please help me to understand whatI did wrong. Thanks!
Good morning AMIGO, what type of printer is it?.Most likely you have a rear tray. But sometimes they are well hidden, they are like the manual feed tray for bigger printers. If you do not have it than factory reset might help in menu most printers have such option. Hope it helps
not sure I did not count them, I think I recorded everything just speed up the video and count. If your printer prints well with 3 left perhaps those ware not importand so just keep them on the side
i have a problem on my canon mx 457 printer that exactly look like this printer, i notice that when i close the cover part of the printer the left side of the cover push upward that makes it slightly open but the right side is ok. it flaten to the scaner. so when i use the pdf cover to copy several papers the paper that i suppose to copy doest go well to where it will go. What i should do please help!!!!
if I understand you correclty ad the cover does close properly and is not flat when closed, then please check the joints it is most likely there that one of the joints somehow is hanging higher. Its made that way to fit for example a thik book. Sometimes those joints get stuck or get broken. This can leave one of the joints higher that the other resulting in uneven closing of the cover. if you need I can make a short vid for you but tomorrow ! Because it late here :)
beautiful printer?? seriously?? this is the ugliest printer out there! Wifi connection almost nearly doesn't work, driver issues, extremely expensive cartridges, no longer prints well after printing thick paper, extremely expensive cartridges and extremely expensive cartridges.. do not buy this printer if u saw this in the markets.. just go for Epson printers..
For me this printer was always there when needed, it was cheap, I refilled the ink with cheaper ink from Sudhaus and I could open the housing without problems when repair was needed. So in my book this Canon Printer did what I needed :) It looks for its time ok nothing fancy but that is a mattet of taste. Have a good day.

Super detailed and helpful. Works just as well for MX475. Thank-you!
Thanks for the video. Really helped me to put the encoder back
I am glad it did, when you look at it. It is a small issue, easy to fix but often overlooked.
Helped me figure out PIXMA MG4130. Thank you!

The time to print a single sheet of paper has become about ten minutes. What is the solution for a Canon MX-475 printer?👍👍👍👍
