Our thanks to Liam in the office who was able to process our annual pass application within an hour.

Oh many thanks once again for this inside information. Very useful for anyone interested in photography.
@@ADMIRALSCORNER After a succesful departure from Williton on the morning of Tuesday 9th April, Class 35 ‘Hymek’ D7017 has had to cut short the first of her three days of test running due to a low coolant level which appears to be caused by a leaking hose in the radiator tunnel.
The issue is being investigated at Williton this afternoon and hopefully the loco will be repaired and will resume her test running tomorrow.
Although disappointing, this is not entirely unexpected because the loco has not had much use in the last five years and establishing reliability is the reason why this test running has been arranged. The events today show why tickets cannot be sold for passenger haulage on these workings.
Oh you got a free half pint with yr ticket!
Lovely trip- the banks of the railway covered in primroses! And the new gdn created at Crowcombe Heathfield! A little terrace gdn so much thought & attention by the volunteer staff!
Magnificent catches of the train coming by and depart from the station, I like it 5 stars.
Thumbs up.
Keep up the perfect work, my friend, liked and subscribed, Greetings from Portugal to the UK.
Thank you so much - pleased to have you on board.
Lovely stuff Mike, though I must say the young lad sitting opposite you on the train didn't look too pleased when you sat down😅!
And what a lovely finish.
Keep on posting them, I always find them very entertaining.
Thank you Peter.

Thank you. We too love the WSR.
Very authoritative, needed, especially with us old prevaricating men! 😮
Great recordings, I saw you there!
Did I cover you in the video I wonder?
I was the boy at bishops lydeard, briefly saw you recording down the walkway.
Me , my wife and 2 children were on this train. We had a great day.
That's good to hear.
I love it when you take a ride ... you get to see more of the countryside... how long in real time does it take to travel from Williton to Lydeard..?
Are you stopping filming for a bit now..? I'll miss them if you have 😮
from Val - 35 minutes from Williton to B/Lydeard. No Janina I'm sure he will film again soon, possibly on Saturday, if not before!
Thanks Val ...
RESULT !
After Class 35 ‘Hymek’ D7017 having to cut short the first of her three days of test running on Tuesday 9th due to a low coolant level, the loco has now completed two further days of test running with no significant issues reported.
The trouble on Tuesday was traced to a split in a radiator joint on the through corridor side and was quickly repaired by the team at Williton. Subsequent running totalling 110 miles has produced a small list of minor tasks, all of which will be dealt with during the coming weeks. The loco will now undergo an oil change and will be cleaned up so that she is ready for the WSR’s SUMMER DIESEL FESTIVAL that takes place between the 6th and 8th of June.
CONGRATULATIONS to the team of volunteers who prepared D7017 for this test running and crewed her for three continuous days, enduring some highly variable weather in the process !
Great to hear you got your Passes, and SO quickly too! Shame WSR can't do some sort of Discount for Local OAP's, personally I think they should be Giving the Passes to both of you Free of charge due to all the Hundred's of Hours you have uploaded to TH-cam over the Years, which have not only given a great many people immense enjoyment, they have also likely brought in a LOT of extra income for the Railway through publicising them which otherwise they would not have received. Anyway, back to the Video...Your tolerance of Ignorant People who Place themselves between your Camera and Scene is remarkable Mike!.. The Guy in the Blue at the beginning of the video just typifies the sort of arrogance that is all too abundant these days. Anyone does that to me, I let them do what they are doing, then when they are all set up for their next shot, I just sort of Wander into their shot when the Train arrives,.. Instant Karma!
Wow Percy. Thank you so much for those very kind words! We love the WSR!
Do you know where Odney manor is? Great video!
I believe it is at Tyseley Locomotive Works for repairs.
Love the way in which Val persuaded you to ride the rails with her. I'd love to see you kissing her on the cheek beside a steam engine. You can't beat riding behind a real GWR steamy.
Once upon a heritage railway, Admiral Scorner and his wife Val were watching the world go by, sitting on deckchairs on Minehead Beach. A gentle breeze was blowing, and seagulls were clamoring to find fish. Their cries were heard, echoing around the bay. Until a sound louder than that drowned them out, that is. Val's ears pricked up pussy cat style.
"Hey! Wait for me!" cried Admiral, running after his speedy lady on two feet. "I'm not Sonic the Hedgehog, you know." Val stopped long enough for her husband to catch up with her.
"Hurry up, Slowpoke," she teased, grinning cheekily. She and Admiral ventured on to the platform. An astonishing sight met their eyes. Odney Manor had steamed in with a rake of Chocolate & Cream Mk. 1 coaches in tow. The engine was wearing a headboard on her smokebox door. The headboard read, Happy Easter Admiral & Val. Odney Manor's Driver approached the surprised couple.
"Say, you two," the volunteer offered, "fancy a ride round?"
"We wouldn't say no," came the reply. Admiral and Val enjoyed a footplate ride round the coaches. When the ride came to an end, the two were as black as the Ace of Spades from head to foot.
"AATCHOO!" sneezed Admiral, unable to stop dust getting up his nose. "Whose idea was this?"
"My idea," answered Val. "To put a smile on your face, that is. Come here, sweetheart." She gave Admiral a kiss on the cheek. The man blushed red as a postbox.
A train ride was on the cards. Val gave her sooty husband a funny look. He stuck his head out of the door window upfront and.... "AATCHOO!" ....let out another sneeze.
"Aren't you sooty enough already?" Val asked, trying hard not to laugh.
"You can't talk," teased Admiral. "You're the one who came up with the footplate ride idea." They both giggled at their little Easter joke. They had been bitten by the railway bugs, make no mistake.
What a fine imagination you have Kelly. Thanks for putting that together for us!
Best Comment yet! Sounds like a great idea for a series of Books.
@@ADMIRALSCORNER You're welcome. Always happy to write a story about you and Val, if and when I think of one.
