    I am Russian and proud of our high jump champions (+ Maria Lasitskene in Tokyo 2020), but! Blanca Vlasic without Olympic gold ... so sorry for her

    В 2016-ом тоже выиграла бы Ласицкене, если бы не подковёрные интриги. Испанское золото в Рио - это испанский стыд, 1.97 всего. Семиборка тогда и то на сантиметр выше прыгнула.

      но и Ласицкене чуть не вылетела с 1.96... так что кто знает, может, и не выиграла бы

    Strange thing happened in 2016, the number of jumps cleared successfully were only 3 (188,193,197m) by the medalists while the non medalist just cleared 2 & 1, a bit average standard of level competition in Olympics

    LOL did you just post a compilation video of the last 5 champions AFTER the High Jump event of 2020 and somehow skipped the latest and most relevant one? Where is Mariya Lasitskene who is one of the best high jumpers of all time and should have already been the champion at 2016 anyway, but the Olympics were a bit behind the times in regards to High Jump... Now that she's participated and won the Gold Medal, what is your excuse?? You didn't even show the event properly while it was happening which was really weird and annoying. Where is the highlights at least???

      Although if things were change I think Ruth would have had silver, but you never know for sure, injury or a bad day could have happened.

      @juhajaara5525 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rodeyvarnell5961 , she was the best athlete that wanted to compete that day, and was allowed to do so. Had Lasitskene (then Kuchina) been there, we would probably have another champion. It wasn't her fault the whole Russian team was banned. From 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2018, she won 45 competitions in a row, so I consider her the best athlete during that whole period.
      By "wanted to compete" I'm referring to Nafi Thiam and Katarina Johnson-Thompson, who both cleared 1.98 in Rio heptathlon - higher than any of the high jump specialists. But it was of course their own decision not to compete in high jump (though, the both sometimes do so).
