Aw, congrats to them! It's bittersweet to see this, especially with Pa's support during labor just as we've seen him do with Ma Berry in the past. I wish them the best. Thanks chickiedee. :-) -Hugs
Yes it's bittersweet. I can imagine Mom also needing a place to lay her eggs if she hasn't found one yet. I don't know but would think bio clock is triggering that its time for eggs...😪
Whoopsie, she kind of missed the nest bowl by a bit. *lol* She looks a little confused as to why is the egg so far away and how do I get it to the nest bowl? Come on *New Mom Berry* you can do it. Slowly but carefully roll that egg into the bowl.🥚 *Wow and she did it* *Good job Mom* Gosh, I wonder how many times she has ever been a mom? 🐥Chickiedee🐥, do you see black streaks on her head? I think that I do. And she sure is messing with that egg for a long time.🥚 Looking at it almost in amazement & much love.💗 I wonder if she is a new mom? Anyway, thank you for such a good video of the New Mom Berry laying her eggie. Come on Pa 🦅and see your new egg! I can't wait and hope that we can see him when he sees his new egg.🥚 😁💗🦅🥚🥚🦅💗😁
I am out of the loop. Can anyone tell me what happened to the female eagle that was on this nest last year? I think she had a twisted foot from an old injury and the pair did not have any successful eggs last year-- or am I confusing the nests? Thanks in advance for any info!
Hi Elisa Hayes Ma Berry(injured leg) and the NF(4-4.5 year old)had a fight(November) Ma Berry was injured(face area) Pa Berry brought her food while she rest in the nest. Ma Berry left but was seen in the area for awhile but unknown if she still in the area(outside of the territory). Now Pa Berry bonded with the NF. I hope that will help out. HAPPY NEW YEARS. Be Safe/Well.🤗
The Berry nest has always called them Ma/mom & Pa/Dad Berry. There has not been an official name for the new Female yet. Some refer to her as New Berry and others call her Missy. It's up to the cam owner, Berry College to make that decision.
Since she is young, not quite 5 yet, as we know from her coloring, this is probably her first time to lay an egg. Just wait until it hatches, that will really be interesting, lol!
She is behaving normal. All Eagles must wait for the egg shell to harden. They come out soft after all. Also here is more info from experts; For those not very familiar with eagles and wondering why they don't sit on the egg all the time, this is because they generally lay between one and three eggs, and they delay incubation proper until the last one is laid. This is to avoid big delays between hatchings, because if the first hatchling grows too much before the next, there could be danger for the youngest chick. Unfortunately, sibling rivalry is unavoidable - it's in their nature. You can pull up Lady Hawk on You tube to watch other eagles on the nest. Lady Hawk is great on writing what they are doing on the videos.
@@tamaragonzalez2227 I thought if an egg got too cold, it wouldn't hatch. Is this totally wrong? I am interested in learning more about eagles. Due to my health at the moment, it's hard to retain facts sometimes. So I do appreciate people reiterating facts. Thank you so much.
Happy new year to ma berry where ever she may be .i miss you
Wonder if her foot got any worse 😢

So what are their names. All other nests have names for the male and female.

Was it my lack of knowledge, or was it hers?...She didn't seem to have any idea of what to do with her egg...??

This NF Berry is young and it's her first time.
