Or just floating along the rest of the orange flakes trying to cover your triggered feelings? Never mind, Trump is just a dumbass, so as the people that support him. Not much of a prediction.

It's not that King predicted Trump necessarily, but rather that he was simply drawing on the kind of demagoguery and manipulative populism that has been a favorite tool of crooked and rotten politicians since the days of Ancient Greece. Although, I will admit, the finer resemblances to Trump and his campaign are certainly eerie.

When I heard trump announced he was running for president....I yelled "F×cker is Greg Stillson" my friends were in shock to see me so rattled and needed an explanation of my behavior. I recounted book and that trump is the character Stillson. They didn't believe me in 2015 and now they DO! My friends have a habit of knocking on wood when I say stuff? If this virus continues and we all don't get stimulus $... We are all going to end up at Goodwill and Thift shops for our family's needs. They have great stuff. Found a 100% silk designer jacket. Lable still on worth $300. I once worked at a tre'chic clothing boutique. Paid $10.00 and gifted it to my elderly white hair friend....she looks fabulous!

@Terrapin243 It answers the question; what if totalitarianism takes over, regardless of ideology. Such a biased answer man. Orwell was a socialist himself until he saw the rise of communism in Spain and Russia. It can come from both sides. Antifa are currently the closest thing to actual fascists by the way. The mainstream media are very close to totalitarianism in a long while, refusing to acknowledge any standpoint other than the ones they agree with, and you know this if you're not blind.

The Green Mile (and The Shawshank Redemption), speaks of the holiness of love, and shows that there is no greater strength than tenderness. When he portrayed Greg Stillson my guts froze - Stephen had thought of it before I did, it was right then that I knew it was going to happen. I just looked up The Dead Zone for a spelling check, and saw the question, "Is The Dead Zone a true story?" Yes, it is, now that Trump has arrived.

The characters in his books have more of a background story plus so much stuff is cut out of the films to pass as an R rating. IT for example has a scene a in the book where a child is found during the winter completely frozen and with his intestines hanging out of his stomach in one of the chapters that explains Derrys past incidents with pennywise.

I mean, since our current reality is, well, REALITY, and no longer fictional? Hmmm....food for thought!), but to eliminate the now-infamous 'dog kicking scene' would require King to rewrite the book, too, since the scene is written out in the Prologue of the book. His point in writing such a scene in the first place was to introduce the Stillson character as 'immediately hate-able,' and wow!, it DID do just that! The 'anger mail' King refers to in this video was in response to the book - not the film - although I'm sure King/the director/producers/Martin Sheen got similar feedback when the movie version came out later, too.
