He was left for dead by the side of the Road where his Body was found* the Next day. The Impact & Trauma of that Sudden Death and Tragedy is still with me to this day 5-1/2yrs. I know I'll have this void & grief in my life forever. I'm there for our Mom and we found ways to cope with the pain over the years since his tragic death.

doug wristen I mean no disrespect, and I agree with you about the character of Donald Trump, but you need to consider that this man is still grieving for his son in 2020, and was also grieving, probably even deeper in 2016, just two years after his son died. Such persons struggling with grief are not always at their full capacity in terms of their judgement. Trump exploited his pain, and his son’s pain, and this grieving father really only realized this once Trump was in office, and saw how Trump’s actions in office were contradicting his rhetoric on the campaign trail. This man did nothing wrong. We KNOW that Trump is, sadly, really “talented” at demagoguery. Many people were fooled. But there aren’t many who have the courage it takes to admit in a very public way that they were wrong, and spending the time he took this year to evaluate the other candidates more closely, and evaluate not just their policies, but also their character.

I am absolutely lucky that I never got to being around drugs and cigarattes ,my college friends made it an extreme point to keep me away from them.I thought they were icing me out or that they didnt want me there. In all honesty ,whatever their intentions ,they looked out for me more than they can ever realise. Everyone starts off just for once and then get hooked. But I also know that I'm the type of person who will get hooked on anything , drugs , alcohol,food etc. This system of punishing people for their addiction needs to die across the board and also children need to be taught of the dangers at a young young age. I just pray that you get your daughter back and she recovers to live a long and healthy life.
I only have 1 kid. And if she's gone, I have nothing else to live for. I absolutely refuse to live without my kid. I'm not strong enough to. My husband and I literally have a suicide pact if our daughter ever died. And I'm so serious

I ain’t afraid to admit I cried as well. My gf commit suicide when she was pregnant with my daughter. I remember reading her last text saying goodbye to me and where she was so the ambulance could try to save our baby. Neither of them survived. Me and my best friend both overdosed on fentanyl in 2018 together. He passed as well and i was lucky to be resuscitated. Life is a gift don’t take it for granted. Love people and have compassion and empathy because we all struggle.

Trump would have to have a heart in order for it to be black. There's a docuseries on Netflix about Trump called "Trump: An American Dream". In episode 2 there's a story about a charter helicopter that crashes killing everyone on board that included some of Trump's executive staff. According to Trump his staff wanted to take his helicopter (that has his name on it) but they didn't want to wait for 2 hours so they took a charter instead. But instead of the story being about the people who lost their lives Trump floated the idea that he almost got on the helicopter with them. So instead of the story being focused on his staff it was suddenly Trump who was the center of attention making it more about Trump cheating death. However one of the people being interviewed who's recounting the story suggests that Trump would've never flown ANYWHERE unless it was a helicopter or plane with his name on it. It was another side of Trump's personality that showed just how morbidly obsessed he was with himself. Even during the funeral he was talking to someone about logistics and what tomorrow looked like in terms of doing business. It's like, you can't wait a few hours to mourn the dead before you start naming a replacement for the guy in the coffin?! Even the small bit of footage they have of Trump walking around makes him look like he's just bored and disinterested. Like a kid who wants to go back home to play video games rather than hang around sad and crying adults. This of course all tracks with his insensitivity to McCain who's six-feet under and the fact that Trump can find ways to marginalize and attack him. It's because Trump lacks any and all self-awareness or sense of morality. How people still support him baffles me to no end.

In the end, we’re all human beings, and if we’re reasonable, civilized, and mature adults, we should be able to disagree with each other’s “ideas”without hating or belittling the “person”. That’s difficult for most people, because most find it difficult or impossible to see outside of their own world view. Our habit of staying in echo chambers increases that difficulty.

@ Probably since it costs a fortune to even run. That said, it's hard to consider Bernie rich compared to the likes of Trump. His salary is only a little over 100k a year (not too shabby, but he's been able to hold some pretty high-ish positions), and what little else he made to get to 2m is from a book in 2016. Such persons struggling with grief are not always at their full capacity in terms of their judgement. Trump exploited his pain, and his son’s pain, and this grieving father really only realized this once Trump was in office, and saw how Trump’s actions in office were contradicting his rhetoric on the campaign trail.
This man did nothing wrong. We KNOW that Trump is, sadly, really “talented” at demagoguery. Many people were fooled. But there aren’t many who have the courage it takes to admit in a very public way that they were wrong, and spending the time he took this year to evaluate the other candidates more closely, and evaluate not just their policies, but also their character.

I am absolutely lucky that I never got to being around drugs and cigarattes ,my college friends made it an extreme point to keep me away from them.I thought they were icing me out or that they didnt want me there. In all honesty ,whatever their intentions ,they looked out for me more than they can ever realise.
Everyone starts off just for once and then get hooked. But I also know that I'm the type of person who will get hooked on anything , drugs , alcohol,food etc. This system of punishing people for their addiction needs to die across the board and also children need to be taught of the dangers at a young young age.

There's a docuseries on Netflix about Trump called "Trump: An American Dream". In episode 2 there's a story about a charter helicopter that crashes killing everyone on board that included some of Trump's executive staff. According to Trump his staff wanted to take his helicopter (that has his name on it) but they didn't want to wait for 2 hours so they took a charter instead. But instead of the story being about the people who lost their lives Trump floated the idea that he almost got on the helicopter with them. So instead of the story being focused on his staff it was suddenly Trump who was the center of attention making it more about Trump cheating death.
However one of the people being interviewed who's recounting the story suggests that Trump would've never flown ANYWHERE unless it was a helicopter or plane with his name on it. It was another side of Trump's personality that showed just how morbidly obsessed he was with himself. Even during the funeral he was talking to someone about logistics and what tomorrow looked like in terms of doing business.
It's like, you can't wait a few hours to mourn the dead before you start naming a replacement for the guy in the coffin?! Even the small bit of footage they have of Trump walking around makes him look like he's just bored and disinterested. Like a kid who wants to go back home to play video games rather than hang around sad and crying adults. This of course all tracks with his insensitivity to McCain who's six-feet under and the fact that Trump can find ways to marginalize and attack him. It's because Trump lacks any and all self-awareness or sense of morality.
How people still support him baffles me to no end.

I don’t agree with many far right and far left philosophies, but I understand why they believe what they do. In the end, we’re all human beings, and if we’re reasonable, civilized, and mature adults, we should be able to disagree with each other’s “ideas”without hating or belittling the “person”.
That’s difficult for most people, because most find it difficult or impossible to see outside of their own world view. Our habit of staying in echo chambers increases that difficulty.

@ Probably since it costs a fortune to even run. That said, it's hard to consider Bernie rich compared to the likes of Trump. His salary is only a little over 100k a year (not too shabby, but he's been able to hold some pretty high-ish positions), and what little else he made to get to 2m is from a book in 2016.
