And what attack on pensioners? I am a pensioner, and if stopping my winter fuel payment will help a struggling family, then I can cope. When this suggestion was made to previous Tory governments, they claimed it couldn't be easily done process wise, so it was given to all pensioners, even those on mega bucks each yr. Labour have just proved they can do it fairly easily. For those who meet the criteria they must claim the relevant benefits. I am currently having a fight, not physical, with a good friend who in her mid 80s is not claiming what she should. Her reason? She and her husband were in the armed forces and spent a lot of time on overseas commisions! I still haven't got my head around that one, but hopefully soon I will convince her she is entitled to more support.😢

I cleaned a multi million pound house for an oil company exec . He and his wife got the heating allowance. They had 5 boilers one for each en suite bathroom, another for the kitchen and a separate one for the indoor pool and jacuzzi. Means testing costs more than it would save but to add it to the benefits of those on minimum pension seems fair enough.

Well this would indicate mental health issues of which we have the Tories to blame .
It was them who closed our mental hospitals and introduced care in the community which has been a total disaster .
