I hesitate to make a suggestion to such an experienced and knowledgeable lady but, dogs don't like stuff under their feet that's slippery and with no purchase for their nails. Maybe an old rug or blankie, or a couple of old pillows in the bottom of the canoe might make Maisie more amenable to riding along with Momma. 😊 I'm an old lady in Alberta enjoying your adventures during these months stuck inside due to being health compromised, and I thank you so much for sharing your beautiful space in the outdoors with us. It's a real treat, believe me. 😊👍💖
There’s a study that shows that when we watch someone be productive on video, we feel productive. I sure feel vicariously productive while watching you do stuff, while I sit on my couch 🤣.
Brook, you truly are a very nice person, very enjoyable to watch, no drama just pure living and very authentic. The world needs more people like you. Thank you for sharing your life with us.....and of course Masie Daisy just having her best life.
So funny to hear Brooke say she’s not been motivated to do anything… right after she does all this work making everything pretty 😂🤣. You’re a gem, girl! ❤
Tip: Corn on the cob - leave the husks on, wrap in foil, put right down in the coals, half into the coals, the other half sticking out, so you can grab to flip it. Keeps all the juice in, makes it tender, steams it. Flip one end for the other so both sides are good and cooked. The foil should look browned if not burnt. When done, open the foil, pull off the husks, add butter and salt, voila! Excellent tender and juicy corn on the cob. (Butter and salt only if you want.)
I’m sure Maisy believes she’s taking care of you out there and will never let you out of her sight, alone in the wild. I’ve never noticed before that you carry but I was honestly relieved to see it. Because well... anything. The pancakes looked fantastic. God Bless you Brooke. You’re a blessing to us 💖
I noticed the other day as well and felt much better for her. I’m not one for the cold and be roughing it but I love to watch her and her husband. Makes me feel happy and I love their animals especially Maisie. ♥️
I prayed with you today! May the Lord be with you always! You have an amazing spirit. Jesus is the center of all! I love nature, thank you for videos. Blessings

I have most recently stumbled across this channel. And I must say, I was only interested in learning how to build things. But the more and I got to watching these videos. And realized I have been sucked in to your life style. And I'm so want that for myself. A few years back I moved to M.O. and I live out in the country. I never really did appreciate the simple things I'm life. To much of the hustle and bustle. Nature is an awsome thing. I have learned a thing or two since I started watching your video. I have found wildbkack berries, eatable mushrooms, and vines that can be used as twin for my garden. Take some time sit back enjoy the world around you. No matter how crazy the world is getting these days. To learn how to live of the land, and most of all giving praise to the lord for giving to us.. so blest and thankful for living simple. I just love it !! 🤗🙃 Love this amazing Lady and Ms Daisy. 🐶💚
I so love the way you always do this Grace everytime you have food in your table, I know you have this lovely heart inside and a real lovely person outside, keep it up and always keep safe ☺☺☺
Like I told your husband.... I just watched you guys a few weeks ago and think you both are inspiring and a lot of fun! I love the fact that you include your pets and the actually stay close to you while camping. I grew up around all the outdoors stuff and respecting nature and it's beautiful wildlife.... I'm still not brave enough to camp alone but I would be totally down to trying a winter camp out with you... lol I love winter. I also live in beautiful Michigan and they sure have some nice remote locations. Thanks for making me smile and giggle. " Be Happy!" For sure.
Brooke, you've been such an inspiration to me and my spouse. We're having a rough season, and I'm losing my mobility and have cancer. This past year has been my healing year. And during the days I'm outside always. At night, my spouse of 40 years and I enjoy so much watching you and your husband's shows. I love your spirit girl. Get outside and get happy!!
That’s what real life’s all about peace and tranquility I just love watching your videos oh and great job on fixing up around the pump and painting the outhouse 👍🏾👏🏿❤️
Interesting! That vintage "Trapper Nelson Pack" that you are using. My parents were friends with Trapper Nelson. He lived on the Loxahatchee River in Florida. We kids, as teenagers, would canoe to his place on the river, and explore around. He died before we really knew him, but his legend lives on.
"She gone?" ...."She back!"..... I've been waiting for you....Sorry it was a fish less day, but the beauty of the water is spectacular! So happy you got the blueberries.....pancakes are SO delish! You are really spiffing up your campsite, it's looking great.....Bev in Maine......"me gone!".....
Such a beautiful area. It's so nice to see you enjoying the outdoors. I"ve always enjoyed camping and fishing. What a great way to get away from the city life.
Hi Brooke, I like watching you do your chores and sitting on the beautiful lake there. I’m a bit jealous, I am medically retired and don’t have the strength to do what you do there. But it makes my day and adds a smile to my old face. Thanks so much for filming your exploits; it helps me remember my younger and happier days.
Love the fact that you gave thanks to God for your blessings, you and Dave are 2 of my favorite TH-cam peeps. Keep up the great content and may God continue to bless you both.
Love you and your videos! Love the smell and coziness of a campfire. Reminds me of my dad. He keeps a fire going through the cold WV winters. Your campfire cooking makes me very hungry!! Would love to spend a week in the woods with you. Also enjoy your prayers and thankfulness to Jesus. Keep up the great videos and may God bless you and your family.
Great time at the U.P. camp ,, a little work for sight improvements ,, then a little relaxation and play to comfort the mind ,, body and soul..... Awesome chow ,, I think Maysie eats better than many of us ,, but that's because she has a loving mama... She certainly likes to stay close ,, and that's a good thing,, one day she will jump in the canoe and point the way...think of scene in Titanic ....lol..(might want to put in an old blanket or pad for her ,, moving around with the dog claws makes a lot of sound transfer in the water in an aluminum canoe)......while you get a chance to explore the lake..... really has me wondering as well...guessing maybe smallmouth bass and northern pike ,, maybe muskie ... ... Thanks for sharing your outing.... ..... Stay Safe and God Bless .....

Your videos keep me motivated thank you so much I'm trying to catch up on the videos. I would love to have your energy I did when I was younger. The best of luck

You are an excellent example of what women are capable of! I love watching you get things done :). You should be proud. Keep up the great work! Carry on girl, carry on!
LOL ... OK, Brooke. Send me some of that "not feeling very motivated" (@6:50) that saw you leveling topsoil and hauling sand, laying p-stone gravel, mulching and hiking to a blueberry patch AND painting the outhouse before dinner. I could use such an "unproductive day" as that! Very nice job, young lady ... enjoy! God Bless P.S. My guess on the Bush and red berries by the lake (without seeing it in real life) would be Eastern Spicebush.

The "berries" at the lake are winterberry. Also known as Michigan holly. The berries you had with the blueberries looked like serviceberry. Locals call them juneberry and sugar plums.
I just discovered you on TH-cam. I am so lovin' your videos! My husband and I used to camp all the time. Now we are old and gray and on to other entertainment. But I love watching you and your dog!
Hey Brooks I learn about the stuffed mushrooms through a video that you made a time ago and they taste delicious and I see you making them again fantastic dinner🐮🐮🍄🍄😃😃
Great to see you again!! Maysie is so funny! The dark blue/purple berries are Saskatoon berries, Thanks for taking us along, the wall tent looks so cozy Marlys

The "berries" at the lake are winterberry. Also known as Michigan holly. The berries you had with the blueberries looked like serviceberry. Locals call them juneberry and sugar plums.
Wonderful to know are they edible?
If they are winter berries they are poisonous
Birds and wildlife eat them, but they're not very palatable to humans. In fact they are listed ad poisonous to humans.
i don't think so they look different
@@therealgirlinthewoods The only other possibility I can think of is wild raisin.
I just discovered you on TH-cam. I am so lovin' your videos! My husband and I used to camp all the time. Now we are old and gray and on to other entertainment. But I love watching you and your dog!
Nothing better than a good steak cooked over an open fire and served with A1.

Fun fact: that shiny red pump 0:25 has a funny shaped snout, so you can hang the handle of your pot or bucket on it whilst you pump. 💖🌞🌵😷
My blind lil pup Shelby loves blueberries too. That, and pistachios :-)
Great to see you again!! Maysie is so funny! The dark blue/purple berries are Saskatoon berries, Thanks for taking us along, the wall tent looks so cozy Marlys
