I recently bought the Maniology one. My nails are very small. It does work nicely and I love their stamping polishes. Clear Jelly is just so expensive and their bottles are tiny. Nice demonstration! Thanks so much!
Thank you ❤ I should check out Maniology for their polishes, I've only ever used their plates. It's true, as much as I love CJS polishes for how easy they are to use, they are really pricey.
I have tiny nail beds as well.. I swear I have a child's size nails.. when stamping I get about a quarter of the image and my pinky finger that's a joke... I have a few Moyou London plates where the images are a little bit smaller.. these nail companies need to take into consideration that not everyone has 3 inch wide nail beds.. I swear most of the images were made for men .. I do have the moyra shrinker /extension stamper I just haven't played with it yet
@@jenpierce2385 the shrinkage stamper works, but as you know, the figures are so big, even making them small doesn’t work most of the time. And so many of the plates are so cute. I guess we’re the minority ☹️
Pretty nails!! I've only been doing nails for 6 months, and I have a bad allergy - most of my exposure has come from using UV resin for art pieces. You are the only nail creator I have found that does nails regardless - so it can be done! I actually did my first stamping the other day and I am hooked already. And I did not know you could buy expandy/shrinky stamping things - this video was exactly what I needed to know so thank you!
Thanks for sharing!! I'm so glad it was helpful. It took years for the proper information to become available, but I never gave up on finding a way to work with gel products again. It brings me so much joy. In my personal experience, as long as you're willing to put in the precautionary measures, it can certainly be done. I definitely recommend getting a resizing stamper if you are enjoying it. Even if you find you never change the image size, it can still be used as a regular stamper, and it gives you the option in case you need it. 😉
@@loveyournailsbydawn Thanks darl! As soon as I finished watching I went and ordered one lol! I did a set of press ons yesterday - double gloved and was very careful. The only reaction I noticed was after I touched the cured nails with my bare hands. Apparently even with no wipe gels it's a good idea to give them a wipe with alcohol just to be sure. Also, my fingers all peeled after the last episode so they are super sensitive. I will take a break for a month, then order some of the new Fleurwee gel from Melody Susie and test it out. Looking forward to watching more of your vids =)
Wishing you a speedy recovery, that wait can be the worst. Yes, no wipe gels are still going to have residue on them and should always be wiped with alcohol before touching. If you know or suspect that your allergy is to Hema (this just happens to be the most common) you could always try a gel like Madam Glam. They have a pretty decent price point and are Hema free. As much as I have fun with cheap gels from the discount brand apps, they aren't typically going to be Hema free and I'll be much more likely to have a reaction when working with them as opposed to Madam Glam. I'm sure there are other great brands out there as well that are Hema free. Surprisingly many of the Korean gels don't seem to be Hema free, so I have to be just as careful when using them as I do the discount brands. I'm so glad that there are people enjoying my videos and that they could possibly help them in any way. Thanks for letting me know :D
I have both the Moyra and Aliexpress models. They both work, Moyra seems better quality, but I actually like the cheap Aliexpress one better. It is a bit stickier, I sometimes have issues with the Moyra picking up, but the Aliexpress one picks up fine. I still use both and don’t regret either purchase. I use them all the time.
Totally agree! It only makes sense if you do any stamping at all to have one in your arsenal 😁 Especially since it doesn't HAVE to change sizes and can just be used like your standard stamper. What's your go-to stamping polish brand? I've usually used Clear Jelly Stamper, but I am thinking of trying some cheaper brands like Born Pretty or Kads.
@@loveyournailsbydawn born Pretty is actually pretty good, that is what I started with. I have a lot of Maniology, but I really like SheModern sticky stamping polish. They have a lot of uses, but my favorite is that you don’t have to work as quickly and once it is on the stamper, you can take all the time you need, because it stays sticky. No sticky base needed. Their clear sealer is the best smudge free I’ve ever used. Now…I did just get some Hit the Bottle and they are so opaque, the yellow Banana Colada actually stamps over black and white with NO change in the color! That is amazing for yellow.
Thanks for the demo! I bought a cheapie/unbranded from Amazon a while back, and figured it would be about the same as the branded ones. I don't really use it that often, but it's nice to have for those images that are just a little too big for my nails.
I'm glad you liked it 😊 When they are under $5, it's not much different than buying a regular stamper, so it's definitely worth having one in your arsenal 😄
You said these folks copy the small businesses??? No actually these businesses get these items in bulk and printed from the folks in China and because it’s packaged in the US they claim it’s a product of the US so forth and so on!!! They double and even triple the price and over charge for shipping trying to get a meal ticket!!!! That’s what kill’s me about TH-camrs dogging AliExpress, SHEIN and Temu but most everything of this sort is mass produced there and shipped to businesses here….
You are correct that this is absolutely the case much of the time. I do many brand comparisons with discount app products because of this. It's one of the reasons that I can't justify paying "boutique" prices for stickers, foils or most other nail art supplies. You'll notice as I mention in many of my videos, a lot of the products that we think are worth some exorbitant price due to the brand name, are actually no better or possibly the exact same product that they got from a discount supplier that they have simply had labeled for themselves. There are occasions though, for certain products, that companies do their own research and development and have the product made in a factory, only to have the design then used by others. Whether it's with consent or not, I can't say, but I have come across this in my own search for product development. So, it's something to keep in mind if you're someone who wants to support your favorite brands.
