That's a great idea! I have a jewelers scale and never thought to try doing that! I'll have to pull it out next time. Right!?! I just find potted gels such a pain in the ass, I hate changing/cleaning brushes, lol. The Bemi Metal Leaf gels are really something else! I only have a few colors but have contemplated getting the whole collection. Out of the hundreds of glitter gels I have, they are just a VERY unique formula that looks really different. I just find them a little bit harder to figure out how to incorporate them into my art designs as they are super intense. Most glitter gels you can layer and ombre for different looks, even when they are heavily packed with glitter. But these I find a little bit trickier to mesh into art designs if it's not just a solid nail. They certainly hit the mark for that super easy 1 blingy accent nail color, though! 100%

Not gonna lie, I do spoil myself for Xmas 😂 It's so hard to resist those Black Friday sales, though!!!

Oooh, I love Dgel for some of their specialty polishes (like cat eye) but haven't tried any of their creme formulas. How do you find them?

I really am a fan of From The Nail so far. I also find that the sets that attract me to purchase the most end up being theirs, lol. I think it's because while I'm happy to pay more for a well thought out bottle, I don't like paying premium for fancy packaging that I just throw away. Their price point is also a little better than some, which is good. Thanks 😊 I should have clarified in the video. I actually can't ever use anything less than a 10mil glove without an automatic reaction. Then, when I'm stamping and cleaning plates with acetone, if I'm not changing my gloves immediately after, I often end up with a reaction still 🙄 🥺 It sucks, but at least I have been able to find a way to continue doing what I love and I usually only screw up a couple times a year, lol ❤️ 😊

I've been curious if I layered over a regular 6mil when stamping and then took the 6mil off when finished plate cleaning if I would end up still reacting. It makes more sense just to use a new pair of 10mil, but they are so much more expensive than regular gloves that I hate going through them so quickly.

@@loveyournailsbydawnthat’s a thought. Currently I either double up my nitrile regular or use a 6mill. 10 is hardcore. Oh my gosh :( why do us nail girlies react >.<

For me, the products spark so many ideas that my brain has difficulty settling on 1 or 2 options. Even in my first year as a tech, once I had a number of choices available, it made it tricky for me to narrow in on a design. Then came the how-to ideas on Socials, and I was screwed, lol. Anytime I would see a design I loved but didn't have the products for, I had to get them so I could try it. At some point, I just gave in and decided if it was hard with even a few product options, why stop there, lol. Being ADHD & Autistic, once I lock in on a special interest, that's it. The next X amount of years are spent on nothing but collecting everything I can for it and organizing my collection. 🤩

I hear that about the magnet frustration! I work with magnet gels constantly, and I still feel like I'm missing something and not quite getting it right 🤔 🙃 I hate paying full price and extra shipping costs, so I always try to buy EVERYTHING at once 😅 How do you like the White Night? I'm really excited for it, even though I think it might be kind of identical to Aurora Queens Lunaris collection, minus the magnet. I'm still all for that, though, cause magnet gels are THE BEST, lol.

You can't believe how happy I am to hear that. It's been on my video list for a long time, and I haven't been sure if it was something people would care about. I know it was years before I even clued in to the fact that different formulas of the same color can create such different looks. It's only in the past few years that I've been experimenting with more than just creme, glitter, and cat eye formulas. I hear that. I've always loved using the completely transparent glass/jelly/tint gels for gemstone and marbling designs or other art styles, but have struggled to use them as a stand alone for press ons as you can easily see the natural nail line underneath. I got hooked on what I think of as "SYRUP" gels that layer up the opacity, keeping that translucent look, yet being not at all see-through. The blue is exactly denim color!!! 💙

I'm curious, do you work on clients or diy for yourself? Have you ever tried a more expensive brand in comparison? I find that it's a really tricky line between what's worth it or not. Many super cheap gels apply and wear very well, but can still be more of a hassle to work with. Taking more coats, more fussing, and more time. But I've also tried out some much more expensive brands that had the exact same issues! I don't believe that expensive brands are all that, but I have found SOME of them to be much more user-friendly and better quality, in which case spending a little more can sometimes be worth it.

Sadly, as much as they were great discount polishes that I would recommend, the listing to purchase them doesn't work anymore and I haven't been able to find them for sale anywhere else! 🤬🙄

That sucks really bad 😞 That's definitely a bummer of gel polish and a reason that I'm slowing down on purchasing. They don't last forever, so eventually, my collection could go to waste 😭 I've been buying Gel polish for 10+ years, though, and have had only a few bottles need to be tossed due to curing issues.

I had it for abt 2 years but it was given to me by a friend so she had it for a while before I did... Thats all I had to throw away so other than just being sad that I wasnt gonna have any more gel polish I wasnt losing money or anything ya know?
