I, like most brits, have literally watched these series 100s of times and I can't imagine what it's like to experience this for the first time so it's great watching you discover the wonderful and frightening world of Alan.
The vomiting behind the podium during the Dante fires conference, had me in fits of giggles the first time I saw it.
"I like this time of evening when the lighting gets quite bad" is my favourite Partridge line that I never see anyone quote. He's that desperate to please he's pretending he prefers bad lighting 😂

LOL. I bet buskers get asked for directions a lot. I messed up once in San Antonio. I asked a guy sitting on a bench if he knew how to get to the River Walk. He said "Sure, 1 block that way" and pointed. It's then I noticed he was handcuffed to the bench. A bicycle cop was looking at me like: "What the hell, man?" ••• Boxer! OX!!!
Btw, Stoke to Norfolk is like a 3 hour drive.

This episode is probably my favourite of the series, the scene where Alan is trying to give that speech after injuring his foot had me laughing so hard I literally got stomach cramps! 😄😄😄
I was on a international group-call a few years back with about 100 people...after a very over-enthusiastic introduction from a lady in the States, everyone heard a quiet gruff British voice say "f*cking Americans" ... then 20 seconds of silence.
They left their mic unmuted, downfall of many. 😅
A mug with Alan's face on one side and a cat on the other side 😂
This episode & the boating one are my favourites!

The difference between american comedy to British is the American is the wise cracking guy who always gets the girl. In British comedy he's the sad case who never quite succeeds at life. Steptoe, Captain Mainwaring, Del Boy etc etc

The Apache Communications sketch is one of the funniest moments I’ve ever seen on TV and one my my favourite from this entire show lol
Go to Dublin airport with a smart shirt, V neck jumper and smart trousers. I was constantly asked for directions and only realised why when I noticed that all the courtesy bus drivers and taxi drivers were wearing exactly the same thing as me.
This was one of my favorite episodes. Hope you get around to watching the AP movie after (knowing me knowing you)...
