Got a lathe myself for a major birthday in 2024. Love it. Can spend hours using it without even noticing. Also got a plunge router for Christmas so might make a router table similar to what you have done. Congrats on your 10k subscribers. Loving your work. Table looks like a great job. Enjoy using it.
Yea I’m thinking the lathe is a different kind of woodworking, can be a bit more creative and don’t have to lug round massive sheets of plywood! Thanks for the support, and regular comments!
@stringsnsawdust yeah can be expensive to get decent tools. There's the whole traditional gouges versus carbide debate and all that. Then you've got chucks and all that! I got a couple of traditional spindle gouges off eBay and then went down the carbide route. Great fun and as you say a bit more creative.
Yea the other half got me this completely unprompted as I had mentioned ages ago that I wanted one. She picked up some starter gouges but I need to get a chuck and experiment re carbide etc.
Are you opening a tin of varnish with a chisel at 7m12s? You utter beast! 😁 Seriously though, congrats on the 11k subs (at time of writing). It is well deserved :)
Huge congratulations on the 10k subscriptions. Well deserved 👏🏼. As for recommendations on the router fence: Hooked on Wood and Small Barn Workshop have recently reviewed a very tidy option from Enjoywood (I think), but selfishly I'd like to see a diy build, as I'm still copying your every move 😂. All the best for 2025 🎉
Ha, thanks for your support and comments! Hope yours is coming together ok. Banggood did reach out to me a while back… wonder if I can use my new found fame to get one to review! 😜 worth a shot…
That thought had crossed my mind and I was thinking about when designing it. it won’t go all the way but I could maybe make an attachment for the fence so I can get there and use the adjustment wheel.
Can I also ask what dust extractor you use? I also have that saw and it’s 1800w so I’m struggling to find a dust extractor with a power takeoff big enough to handle it. Great vids btw
Hello mate. Nice videos. I'm in the middle of a similar journey myself, just without the TH-cam bit. Sorry if I missed it, but what is the width of the table. I'm trying to make a plan for when I can afford the same saw!
@stringsnsawdust Blimey! That was quick. Was just stood staring at a tape measure trying to work out if I could get away with 1.2m. Cheers for the help.

Straight to Festool for you, my man 💚🤍. I'm sure the 'gizzits' will start filling up the workshop 😊.
Do that 10k vid it's at 296k, and a lot of people found you from that. strike will the steel is hot!!!
Good point…
Will the table saw fence reach far enough to right to act as router fence?
Not quite, I did think about making something that I can fix to the table saw fence which would extend it.
@stringsnsawdust that might make dust collection of the router awkward.
Can you just use your table saw fence for the router?

Thanks, I use a Charnwood dust extractor I have a video earlier on in the series where I install it, may be worth a look.

Hi, the top is 850mm deep and about 1300 wide, then I have the outfeed which adds another 600 mm square on the back.

Design a logo......paint the wall behind you..........add logo.
Good idea, I think the other half would tell me off! Will think about it. Maybe clad it first.. but I like it
